Lulu201's Healthy Living Log (comments welcome!)

Hi, Amanda! Hi, Steph! Thanks for stopping by! Yep, we'll be doing some outside walks when it's warm this spring/summer. We'll keep you posted for these big events!!!!!

Yesterday was a fun day!:Pinkbounc Got a great walk in, had a nice healthy lunch with loads of great conversation--you all know how friendly Doreen is--but now it's time to take a look at the overall picture:

1. Vitamins--did that; ended up 13/31
2. Water--didn't do this--the first day this month! I just couldn't get enough in. I came home and did other things and just didn't attend to this like I should've. 12/31
3. Exercise--this was a goodie. Clocked in over 5 miles on the pedometer. 9/31 I hope to get on the treadie today and get some more.
4. Food--nope, not good. Running around later in the day, no structure, no plan. No awareness of points. . .I'm moving on to a fresh new day. Clippie stands at 10/31.

:sunny: It's a bright new day! I'm ready to make it a healthy one! Bring it on, bring it on! :hyper:

:wave2: :wave2: :wave2:

You sound so sunny this morning! I'm going to soak it up!

Thanks for the wonderful walk & chat yesterday, WISH-sis! :happy1:

Sounds like we both fell off the wagon food-wise yesterday, so today we're back to business as usual, right? ::yes::

Here's an extra  for your day!

It sounds like you are going to be having a great Sunday! Overall yesterday didnt sound that you did that bad. I must admit I goofed on the water intake yesterday as well. I find it easier to get my water in while I'm at work. I guess I sit around at work more than I do at home and there is nothing much to just sucking down a glass of cool water.

Keep your spirits up and have a great day today! It sounds like you're well on your way!

Desiree'

Hi Erin,

I'm just dropping by to say hi. Looks like you and Doreen had a great time as usual. It so awesome thatyou two can get together on a regular basis. You sound ready for the day. Have a good one.
Beth

hey erin, sorry you fell off the food wagon, but at least you got in a great day of exercise and had a great time with doe! and you're right back on track today! way to go :)

hope you have a great day today :sunny:

Hey, WISH-sis, hope you had a good day today! I'm sending extra :wizard: for your Monday. I hope it turns out to be a day full of blessings and peace.

Sunday, March 14th? I'm sorry, was I supposed to do anything that day? Eat right? Exercise? Oh, I know. I was absent that day. Yeah, that's it, I missed that Sunday. . .

I spent half of yesterday sleeping. The other half I spent munching around the kitchen--a little of this, a little of that. Definitely not good. No vitamins, no water--totally unfocused with no direction. BUT. . .

TODAY I'M BACK!:Pinkbounc Now before you say, "that's what you said yesterday," I want all my WISH-buddies to know that I really am. I've had my vitamins, I've had 32 oz. of water, I've had a healthy breakfast, I've turned this Monday over to God and seen the beauty of a brand new day. . .I'm headed in the right direction. :D Yesterday was just a detour.

So, I want to quickly evaluate where I stand. So far I've lost 5 lbs. toward my goal of 10 lbs. in the April 1st challenge. That's kind of mediocre--I've definitely got to push harder. So, I've come up with some concrete goals for the rest of the month:

*In the remaining 16 days I will take my vitamins every day. That would make my final vitamin goal 29/31 days.

*In the remaining 16 days I will drink at least 64 oz. of water every day. That would make my final water goal 28/31 days.

*Here's a biggie: I will walk at least one mile every day for the remaining 16 days, bringing my exercise goal to 25/31 days.

*And the real toughie: I will stay OP--no cheat days--for the next 16 days, bringing my food goal to 26/31 days.

Whoo, boy, this is going to be tough, but I'm going to remember Phil. 4:13, and just go for it. I know that if I can stay the course I'll be happy with whatever the scale says, but I don't want to reach the end of the month with regrets because I was wishy-washy.

So, here's where I am:

1. Vitamins--:D
2. Water--32/64 oz. Half way there! :D
3. Exercise--The treadie is next
4. Food--breakfast was Cinnamon Almond Banana Oatmeal (made with skim milk) and coffee w/cream=5
Plans for lunch--egg salad on lite bread=7
Snack--yogurt (2)
veggies (0)
1 cup of fresh fruit salad (1)
Dinner--chicken strips over tossed salad=9
s.f. jello

Total for day=24 points; 22 Target plus 2 AP

Day by day,
Pound by pound,
Onward and downward,
No messing around.
:p

Erin

Erin, I LOVE your new poem!!! Girlfriend, whatever happened in the past definitely sounds like it has passed - you sound like you are back in the groove!! :sunny:

I hear a strength of purpose. I hear a no-nonsense attitude. I hear a woman who is out to treat her body and her mind in a healthy way for the next 16 days!! No excuses for her - she's walkin' the walk!!

You go, girl!!! :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: I'll be right there with you!! :cool1: :cool1:

Let's get it done! ::yes::

Woohoo! Can you pass some of that inspiration on to me?!?! Wow, what a great attitude you have!!! You seem to be off to a flying start today! Keep up the good work today and have a GREAT Monday!

I love your poem! That is going to be my mantra for the day! Sweetie don't feel bad about being absent yesterday we all have those days - especially during the Dzone. Hopefully this will be over soon.

I know what you mean about the April Challenge - I've only lost 3 of the 10 lbs I wanted to lose. I really really want to be in the 140's by May and I don't think that is going to happen.

~Amanda

Oh, Amanda, that could happen! 140s by MAY?? Definitely! We're all going to do this together, I know it! You've set up the goal-oriented mindset for us, and we're not going to lose steam mid-month! We're going to go for it! And Desiree--you, too, WISH buddy! You're going to keep plugging a long day by day until you make it all happen.

Doreen, you're sitting there on the d-zone rollercoaster, but you're going to manage this, too--just one baby step by baby step.

My water is at 58 oz.--I'm chugging it down! I walked 2.6 on the treadie in 40 minutes, warm-up and cool-down included. I'm going to have to get out and run some errands now, but I'll stop in tonight and hopefully will have time and energy to get to journals. You're all in my thoughts. . .

Erin

Edit: I just turned over my clippie bear. Boy, did that feel good!

I had my appointment with my wonderful doc--she's super--unfortunately I left with a list of tests and procedures I have to have done that's as long as my arm. Way to be Over 40! Some are routine--blood work, mammogram, but some are new for me--stress test with cardiolite (?) [you know what that's about, Beth] and an appointment with the GI guy for a colonoscopy and maybe some other stuff  . I'm a big chicken--I hate all of this stuff, but I'm going to do it. I've been putting off the colonoscopy for two years, but this time I'm going to do it! Yeah, I am. Really, I am. :(

Stuck to my plan for the day! :Pinkbounc Tomorrow I'll figure out where I stand with everything. Now, though, I have to hit the hay. Sorry I haven't gotten around to journals. :(

It's a new day! :sunny: Here I go w/ the plan of action:

1. Vitamins. So far I stand at 14/31
2. Water. Drank a lot! I stand at 13/31
3. Did my exercise, I'm at 10/31
4. Food--stayed on plan at 11/31.

So, I'm going to get in a quick mile before work on the treadie and I'm going to try to stay at 24 points--22 plus one AP and one flex.

b--oatmeal and coffee=5
l--yogurt and a cheesestick and veggies=4
d--something from taco bell, probably 2 chicken tacos at 10
s--5 points to play with

Gotta go get DD off to school, but I'm feeling confident. God is in control; I'm along for the ride.

Day by day,
Pound by pound,
Onward and downward,
No messing around. :D

Erin

Edit: Did a mile on the treadie, but have to race to work now. I might have to cancel classes because of the snow. :D NO, that wasn't me smiling! Or was it? he, he;)

WOW! You sound like you are rarin to go this morning!
(Cancelling classes wouldn't be such a bad idea! Maybe sqeeze in an extra mile on the treadmill?)

Hope your day goes exactly as you planned!

I use to love it when classes were cancelled :)

Thanks for the pep talk Erin - I needed one. The 140's seem so far away but then again the 150's seemed far too. :)

Have a great day today and remember to do something for yourself today!

~Amanda

Erin - yay for staying on plan yesterday. Be careful out in that yucky weather - I just saw your neck of the woods on the noon news.

:wave2: Hi, everyone! Here's where I am at 6:30 p.m.

1. Haven't taken the vitamins. :(
2. Have had half the water.
3. Exercise--got in a mile.:D
4. Food--not the best choices, but still on plan. ::yes::

I'm going to correct 1 and 2, and turn over the clippie. Classes did get cancelled; private lessons didn't. Got lots of stuff done today, but still don't feel caught up. Such is life.

Amanda, Desiree, and Steph--thanks for dropping by. You guys make me smile and give me such motivation to stick with the plan. Thank you!

Hey, WISH-sis, hope you're having a good morning!!

I'm thinking of you and keeping you in my prayers today! ::yes::

It's Wednesday. I'm glad about that.

Stats from yesterday:

Vitamins are now 15/31.
Water is 14/31.
Exercise is 11/31.
Food is 12/31.

Haven't taken the vitamins yet today, but have had about 8 oz. of water. I'm getting ready to hop on the treadie. Points should be 22 Target plus 2 AP; I don't want to use any flex today--I see Friday Weigh In coming. I did peek this morning; I'm holding steady at 162--a good thing after the eating indiscretions I had over the weekend. I'm stressed at work, though, and I want to eat in a compulsive way. Last night I had to go upstairs and watch AI--I couldn't be anywhere near the kitchen.

My heart is heavy and I have some worries this morning :( . I'm just going to take the day step by step.

Day by day,
Pound by pound,
Onward and Downward,
No messing around.
None. Zero. Walking the straight and narrow.

Erin

(((HUGS))) I'm sorry things are so stressful right now.

I'll be keeping you in my prayers today.

Desireé

Erin it always seems that you, me and Doe are always hurting or depressed around the same time. This to shall pass sweetie! We just need to get through the day. One foot in front of the other.

~Amanda
