Lulu201's Healthy Living Log (comments welcome!)

Erin - I am so proud of you!!!! 40 lbs is a major accomplishment. Definitely treat yourself to something and then let us know what you did. Since you said a manicure is out, what about a pedicure? Soon the snow will be gone for good and it will be sandal weather.

Good move in cleaning out the closet. I know that it is tough to let those things go but I know you will never be going back to those clothes so you need to get them out of the house.

Have a great weekend!!!!

Thanks, Lisa, Mare, and Steph, for joining my New Attitude party! I'm still singing this morning:

"I'm in control,
My worries are few,
'Cause I got love like I never knew,
ooo,ooo,ooo,ooo
I've got a new attitude.

I am wearing a new dress, a new hat,
Brand new ideas,
As a matter of fact,
I've changed for good.

ooo,oooo,ooo,ooo,
I've got a new attitude."

:p I love singing at the computer!:p

ANYWAY, I have to get going to work this morning--a super full day ahead. I have to set up for a group piano/party class (tons of fun for the kids), get to the mall, go to DDs concert and then get her to a late night sleepover. I'm  just thinking about it--but in a good way.

So, the plan remains the same, pretty much:

1. Vitamins--18/31, gotta take them today
2. Water--17/31, I'll bring my big water mug around with me
3. Exercise--14/31, I want to hop on the treadie before the day gets away from me
4. Food--15/31, target plus AP plus a few flex. Yesterday I ended up using 4 flex; that was OK--I still have 13 to go before Monday! The big accomplishment for me will be to get through the weekend without bingeing--I'm trying to keep my focus.

I'm off and running.
Erin

Edit at 10:00 a.m.: Water at 10 oz.
Exercise--3 miles at 44:10
Food--breakfast was cinnamon banana almond oatmeal w/coffee and cream=5
DH and I will have a late lunch/early dinner before the concert at Ruby Tuesdays. Have to plan for that.
Snack will be canteloupe and veggies; it's what I'm in the mood for.

Moving on. . .

Erin, congratulations on losing 40 pounds!!!!! You're doing a wonderful job, keep up the great work! :D

Thanks, Cindy. :D I really feel like I accomplished something! :Pinkbounc

I made it through today:

b--5
l--1.5
d--15.5
dessert--9

Total: 31/22 target, 3 AP, 6 flex leaving 7 flex for Sunday. :Pinkbounc

Reviewing the stats for Sat., 3/20, the first day of spring :D

1. Vitamins--19/31
2. Water--18/31
3. Exercise--15/31
4. Food--16/31

Picked up a couple of things at the mall today: a new pair of pants, size 10 :p , a new white Lands End t w/a square neck line (cute), and a new bra a Victoria's Secret :p . Why didn't someone tell me they were going to want to measure me? I let them--and found out I lost one of my Ds somewhere! :p It was worth it to be measured.

That's it for now, I'm going to go turn over my clippie.
Erin

Hey you!!! Tonight I'm catching up with everyone's journals and you're my first stop. First off, congratulations on the new clippie! You've done a wonderful job and your bright attitude is contagious. I love reading your journal, so much positivity. I'm so happy for you Erin and that glow of yours can be seen all the way over here in California!:D

I read that you cleaned out your closet and gave away some of your clothes. First of all, that's a very sweet thing to do. It's a big step to take and you must have had many things going through your mind as you were bundling everything up. I haven't gotten rid of any of my clothes yet but I'm thinking about it.

Erin, I hope you didn't work too hard today and you enjoy the rest of the weekend.:D

:wave2: Hi, Lisa C. Glad you could stop by! It's always fun to hear from you. I was thinking of you last night when I tried on a tankini. I don't care how much weight I lose, bathing suit shopping will never be fun for me. Ugh. :p

I'm sleepy this morning, though I'm already drinking my coffee. . .yesterday was full and fun, but today I'm going to just take it slow. Church, some produce shopping, light housework, wash, a walk. . .taking the day at my own pace without too much running around. I think, geesh, I should be out getting DD new spring clothes, but it'll happen eventually. Just not today!;)

As usual, this week has had its ups and downs, but I'm happy with my commitment to my healthy lifestyle; I really took care of myself this week. Gotta do it taking it day by day, pound by pound, onward and downward, no messing around!

1. Vitamins--haven't had them yet.
2. Water--haven't had any yet, but today I'm going to have so much I'm going to float into Monday!
3. Exercise--my goal is to do my long WW tape (55 minutes) at a half-marathon pace (about 3.8).
4. Food--b was 5, lunch will be a sandwich and veggies and/or fruit at around 5, dinner will be fairly light, too. I'll eat my target 22, but I don't know if I'll use my AP. I guess if I'm hungry. . .

OK, I've laid it out there, I know I have a solid Rock on which to stand--here I go! :wave2:

Here's a :grouphug: for all my WISH friends whom I care about so much. Make it a great day, everyone.

Erin

Edit: coffee at church=.5, 1 sugar free lemon creme cookie (snackwell)=1, 1 cup popcorn =1.5, baked nacho chips, 1/4 grated cheese, salsa=6, total so far=14/water, 2 glasses

Sounds like you have a great plan for today! Wishing you lots of :sunny: and happiness today!

Happy Sunday, Erin! Aren't you glad the Lord was kind enough to give us this Day of Rest?? Don't feel one bit guilty for resting today!! Your body needs to recharge!

Looks like your plan for today might have been interrupted a bit - you've used 14 points already and I don't see much protein in there. Be careful, girlfriend! :happy1:

Spring is finally here! The warmer weather will HAVE to follow, right? I think both our puppies will be enjoying more exercise as the days warm up. :sunny:

Have a wonderful, peaceful, restful day, Erin! :sunny:

hey erin, your shopping trip sounds like it was a lot of fun, size 10 pants, very nice :smooth:

you've got a great plan set out for today, and i see that so far you're sticking to it. if all else fails, you do have those aps to work with, and a few flex left over. don't be afraid to use them if you need them ::yes::

hope the rest of your sunday is wonderful :sunny:

 Geez, I can't get away with anything, Doreen. You know me like a book! The truth is, you're right--I've been treading on thin ice today, but I've managed to stay afloat. I just had one of those kind of nibble and munch days, but I was careful not to go over my flex.

The food messiness continued with a snack of a lowfat ice cream cone at McDonalds (3.5), 1 cup of baked ziti w/ parm cheese and grilled veggies for dinner (8), and more little graham cracker cinnamon stix (3) for dessert. I used my flex points, but I'm not too proud of my sloppy eating. . .it just doesn't feel too good. I like following an "eating plan for the day" a whole lot better. Look at all the carbs I had! Risky behavior.

I still have laundry to do. I ended up taking DD out to get her Easter outfit and shoes. We had fun, but it was a couple more
hours of running around, and I am just plain pooped. I haven't exercised, but will get in my minimal walk of a mile on the treadie if I have to do it at midnight. Tomorrow I'll do the WW tape. I'm still chugging the water after DD and I promised each other we wouldn't have more than one glass of our favorite Diet Coke with Lime.

Be back after I walk,
E.

 Erin,

Congrats on those size 10's. You will be looking:smooth: this spring. I hope you can relax this evening. You always seem to be on the go. You take care of everyone else, so remember to take care of yourself too.

I'll be thinking about you tomorrow AM while I'm sipping my coffee with SF hazelnut syrup.;)
:sunny:
Beth

Now I have to be jealous of you, Beth! You ordered those syrups from some place on-line, didn't you? Should I go to da Vinci. com, or is there a specialty food/coffee store you ordered them from? I'd love just a shot of sf vanilla to start my day! :p

I ready to turn over my clippie and want to put my final stats in print and then call it a night.

1. Vitamins--:D 20/31
2. Water--:D 19/31
3. Exercise--:D 16/31
4. Food--:D 17/31 (this one really makes me smile!)

I walked a total of 8.25 miles on the treadie this weekend! ::yes:: I'd love to go back through this month's journal and see how many miles I've done so far. Maybe I'll do that and then figure it somehow into goals for April. Gotta think about that.:scratchin

Turnin' over that clippie now--
Erin

Hey Erin,
www.davincigourmet.com

You can order 4 bottles for the minimal shipping. I picked up hazelnut, french vanilla, and 3 chocolate. I also use them in my cheesecakes.
:teeth:
Beth

Skinny Erin!! Size 10 pants!! You are amazing, girlfriend!! How did I miss that???

Congratulations on sticking to your points yesterday! I know it must have been a tough day as far as sticking to plan. But you did it! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Here we go into Monday. The sun is shining! :sunny: It's officially Spring, even if the temp outside is a bit chilly (it's only temporary - we'll be getting warmer weather any day now!!). We're going to be good to ourselves today!! Why, you ask?? Well, because we're WISH Princesses princess: princess: and we deserve to treat ourselves to healthy living!!

No messing around!! ::yes::

Hee, hee, I know where I'm going to visit on-line next! Gotta check out those syrups! Thanks, Beth.

:sunny: It's a beautiful brand new Monday--as :sunny: as can be, but more than a bit chilly. :sunny: That's the weather report from SE PA.:p

Today I've got to take Mickey the Westie for another check up; should have the results of his thyroid scan to discuss with the vet. I've got a mountain of laundry rivalling Everest in the living room--will tackle that when I get home. My DMom is coming to visit (she really IS dear and quite a pip) in two weeks, so I've got to make a list today of projects around that house that I want done before she comes. She'll be with us from 4/2 until 4/12. I asked her if she'd like me to have anything special in the house for her to eat when she comes and she said, "Erin, I want to eat like you eat." Sure hope she likes oatmeal for breakfast--every day! :p

The plan:

1. Vitamins--will take them when I go downstairs.
2. Water--one glass down, at least SEVEN more to go.
3. Exercise--55 minutes on the treadie doing the WW tape.
4. Food--22 target, plus AP. New bank of flex points to draw from today, but I don't think I'll need to touch 'em.

Just thought I'd pass this on to you WISH buddies of mine--if you want a nice, uplifting way to start the day, visit dailyguideposts.com for positive inspiration. There's always a nice thought and message there.

:grouphug: Let's feel good and feel strong!

Day by day, pound by pound,
Onward and downward--I'm not messin' around! :Pinkbounc

Erin

Hey, Doreen! :wave2: You popped into my journal while I was writing to myself and I almost missed your visit! Thanks for stopping by, princess: Doe-Doe! I'm going to stop by your journal now to see if you're at home or work. I'm going in this afternoon, but I've got so much stuff to do here at home, it's almost an afterthought!:teeth:

Did you call me Skinny Erin??? :p I'm a likin' that! :teeth:

princess: Lulu

Hi Erin,

I hope Mickey;s appointment with the vet goes well. How are his little paws doing. I hope you enjoy your :sunny: . Your Mom sounds like fun. That should be a nice visit. I have laundry to fold today as well. I hate laundry. It is the neverending job. Take care of yourself today.
:sunny:
Beth

Here's where I'm sitting on 3/22 around noon:

1. Vitamins. :D
2. Water--3 glasses down.
3. Exercise--not yet, but soon.
4. Food--b=5, snack=1 (fresh fruit salad, yum!)

Mickey's on an allergy maintenance program until his thyroid tests come back (which should be any day); dr. doesn't honestly think it's his thyroid after all. No more visits have had to be scheduled. My checkbook is grateful!

I'll edit here later. . .

E.

OK, let's see I'm 4 glasses into goal #2, and just completed 3.64 on the treadie in 55 min. It was a nice comfortable pace; I think the WW tape is nice for middle aged women like me!:p On to make my lunch--a buffalo chicken salad at about 9 or 10 points. Dinner will be a tuna sandwich and veggies. There might be room for another cup of coffee later. . .

Final wrap:

1. Vitamins-- 21/31.
2. Water-- 20/31
3. Exercise--did that 3.64 mi. thing. 17/31
4. Food--stayed at 25 points (22 target and 3 AP). YAY! :Pinkbounc -- 18/31

Tomorrow's meal deal:

b--oatmeal and coffee=5
l--tuna sandwich=5 /veggies=0
d--taco bell, either a fiesta salad at about 15 or 2 chicken taco supremes at 10 and a lowfat vanilla cone from McD at 3.5. I think I'm going for the latter because I'm not going to be able to do much exercise. That'll give me 23.5 (22 target, 1 AP, .5 flex)

I'm heading for bed.

Is this considred fashionably late? I can't believe I am this late to a clippie party!

:jumping1: CONGRATULATIONS ERIN!!:jumping1:

And then I read that we are in size 10 pants - you are my hero!

:jumping4: :jumping4: :jumping4:

Seriously girl way to go! At the top of my lungs (and I'll admitt it doesn't sound real pretty) I am singing

"I'm in control,
My worries are few,
'Cause I got love like I never knew,
ooo,ooo,ooo,ooo
I've got a new attitude.

I am wearing a new dress, a new hat,
Brand new ideas,
As a matter of fact,
I've changed for good.

ooo,oooo,ooo,ooo,
I've got a new attitude."

You are just to much for words today! Heh - don't worry about the swimsuit shopping - I don't think it is ever fun for anybody! The next time you go to Vicky's you should pick up something that will make DH's eyes pop out of his head! :)

~Amanda

I hope you don't mind me posting here. I just wanted to take a moment to pop in and say thank you for the inspiration and enthusiasm that I have read in your posts.
