Do Delta and NWA both have luggage fees? I know Airtran does as well as guaranteed seating fees. Do the other airlines? In particular Delta and NWA.

Yes. Delta and NWA have fees for checked bags.

Southwest and jetBlue do not and there may be one or two others, but not many.

To the best of my knowledge, Southwest is the only airline that has no checked bag fees. Jetblue does indeed have a fee, but it's for the second bag. You do get one bag free with them.
The vast majority of airlines now charge for checked bags. Free checked bags are going the way of the dinosaur.

Thank-you! We've only flown air-tran for the last 3 years....what about the fee for guaranteed seat assignments on Delta or NWA?

There's no fee for a seat assignment on Delta. You can choose your seat on their website after logging in to your itinerary. I've done it every time I've purchased tickets for my daughter to fly home from/back to college.

We fly Northwest...1st bag is $15 and you have to pay it on line or they charge you like another $5 to pay at the airport...

The fees for Northwest and Delta both just went up to $23 for the first bag with a $2 surcharge if you pay at the airport as opposed to paying on line

Also there are no guranteed seat assignments you may get seat assignments but they are never guranteed.

We bought our tickets back in October...our bags should still only be $15.00. I already picked our seating, I've never had them change ours...if they do, they'll have one ticked off mom on the plane and everyone can listen to a 4 year old scream for her mother...

Thank-you! I've been looking for this! Just been out of touch on the boards lately.

Yes your fees will stay the same but those are not the fees for tickets purchsed now, which is what the question was asked
