I know this is a silly question....but here goes:

Those luggage carts that they have at the airport, I know they are something like $3 right? We have never used because we either schlepp our own bags or use a towncar service and have an extra pair of hands.

We are renting a car this trip (National). Can you take these carts out to the garage and return there? Or can they only stay in the airport? We don't want to separate, but having a cart would be so much easier.

Thanks for the help, told you it was a silly question.

There are cart rentals right at baggage claim. You can rent them for $3, load up your luggage, go over to the car rental garage, pick your car, and there is a cart return rack in the rental garage.

Thanks! This will probably be a big help this trip.

We always rented the carts. For $3 it saves alot of dragging all the luggage. After you get it, you have to push down on the handle to get it to move. I wondered why the thing wouldn't move, here when you don't push the handle down the brake is on.

Not to be considered a bottom-feeder, but we've been quite lucky with finding strays in the parking lot upon our return.:cool1: Would like to think I'm doing them a service by returning the cart to the terminal.

You're not alone! On our last trip the rental was parked at the end of the line and I just left the cart off to the side...when we came back 7 days later..I could almost swear that the same cart was right were I left it. Yahhooooo! I saved 3 bucks!!! :rotfl:

Same here...we rent them on arrival..and *always* find one handy to our car return for "free" on our departure.

Little bit of magic for the way home :wizard:
