A month after we got home from the cruise of a lifetime, I'm getting through the trip report which is turning into more of a novel than a few details on the week's activities. Luckily my friend Tagrel is hosting the pictures and the report and said I could link it on the DIS board where he is also a DIS'er.

Thanks to all the people who waved to us as we left LA Harbor. What a feeling that was to see that bright and shiny patch of lime green at the Ports of Call Village. Did you hear us shouting to you from Deck 10? :teeth:

The first part of the report is up through our fabulous day at the Krystal Resort in Puerto Vallarta. I should have the rest done before the weekend is over. Thanks for checking it out. :flower:

Lucky and Lazy-Inaugural Mexican Riviera Cruise Report

Moley, what a great report. We also thought Puerto Vallart was the best day of our cruise. We also went to the Krystal although we didn't have massages, we had some rather tasty Pina Coladas! (and we are not drinkers either!)

Thanks pppiglet! I must say your live reports from your cruise inspired me to get going on my own report. I had a great margarita at the Krystal. Next time it is Pina Colada on your recommendation. :sunny:

Thank you for taking the time to post your report. I also loved all
the pictures. Thank goodness your DH is ok.....sounds like both
of you had a very magical vacation.
thanks again.
Lucy (sailing 7/30)

Thank you for the nice comments. I finished the report today with a few tips at the end on debarkation and what we learned from the trip. I can't say enough how much the DIS helped in the planning and in having so much fun aboard running into fellow DIS'ers.

Looking forward to our next trip with another lively bunch of 'green people.' :sunny:

Hi Moley: Found your report. Haven't had a chance to get over to Tagrel to read it. How wonderful for you to have a good time and report about it in such a grand way. You get 5 mickey stars for your report but instead of stars, you get five mickey bars.. :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar

Moley-
Thank you for the nice things said and great trip report....
mom and I are still glad you got Tink! Mom ended up getting Ducky to do an individual Grumpy for dad and an individual Tink for her...we really loved him!

I already miss everyone terribly! Hopefully, they'll bring her back to CA for us all to have a reunion cruise!

Surely DCL will bring the Magic back or build a new ship for the West Coast. There seems to be tremendous support for it.

How cool that your family got those sketches! I'm so pleased for them. Those will always be a special remembrance of an incredible voyage. See you on the reunion cruise, kid. :teeth:

Moley - have just printed off your trip report for my DW - we depart from GB to fly across the Atlantic 6 weeks tomorrow for the Ship of Fools Cruise - "Bringing the Magic Home" - your TR really kept us in touch with our inner Mickey!!!! And yes, the odd tear dropped.

Many thanks for a wonderful write-up :flower:

Moley -

It is so nice to find your report, finally. I was anxiously awaiting it. It was great meeting you. Have you been to Deb's site to see our pictures?

Sandy, I have indeed been over to All Ears. I was amazed at how thorough a report Deb did LIVE, complete with so many wonderful pictures. You ladies were a hoot to meet. You do your site, the DIS and all the Disney internet community proud. Thank you for contributing so much here and on the web to make all our trips, land and sea, so pleasurable.

Hope we can all meet again soon. :earsboy:

Moley-
I forgot to ask how Mr.Moley was doing these days? Seems like we left you guys in the middle of chaos of SoCal car rental...I'm sure you survived, but I hope all is well in your neck of the woods!
Hard to believe it's a MONTH since we ended that trip!
Best wishes to you & Mr.Moley (who put up w/all us crazy DISers VERY well!).
Chris

Moley -

Thanks for the compliments on the reports and site but that was Deb. We shared our experiences and pictures but Deb kept the reports updated.

After reading this report I had to go back and reread last years report.. I want you to know I spent all week secretly waiting to see your new bingo hat, but alas, you didn't do one.

It was a pleasure meeting you and Zeus. I wish now we had followed through on our thought and requested to be moved to Putra's table. We were happy with our server but sounds like you had room for us at your table and I know we would have kept the dining room hopping (or they would have asked us to use room service - LOL). Hope to see you on another cruise.

Sandy

finally got a chance to finish reading your report. What fun! I loved the picture and comment of Zeus blocking the whip cream shot! I cracked up! Thanks for posting.

Debbie

Hi Moley,

You reports are always wonderful. I remember reading one over on the Passporter site so when I saw your name I knew I had to read it. You're so funny and sound like you should be a professional writer. Can't wait to read the next part!

Moley, I am so happy to see you are well, and things are okay. You must have been through Hell with your DH's heart problems. He is in my prayers now.

I had so much fun reading your report, it has me really pumped up for my cruise, and the Drink of the Day....maybe I can drop your name, and have Anthony serve my drinks too.

Thanks for writing a report, and I hope to see you around the other boards again soon, you are missed.

Wow, great report! Thanks so much. I almost felt like I was there with you.
Great details, esp on the important stuff, like food and drink!

:flower3: First let me say that I'm glad your husband's health was good enough to still go on the cruise. I can only compliment him for even leaving you an envelope with instructions for those little things in your life should the worst occur, but I hope you both still have many good cruising years ahead.

:cool1: Second, let me say, that your report, by far, is the best I've ever read. :rotfl: The cherry flavored lifesaverI was sucking on went flying at my PC screen with laughter when I was reading about your decision to go parasailing or not. My kids would have jumped on the parasailing, but I'm with you, go for the drink.

:boat: I really need you and your husband to go on our cruise with us next Summer, the July 29, 2006 Western Caribbean. I think you may be just as entertaining as some of the Disney shows. I'll even work a way to find some Krispy Kremes, which by the way, are my favorite too, for Zeus.

I'm new to this site but I have learned so much in just the couple of months I have been reading posts. I am so grateful for all the small hints I have picked up from everyone. 12 more months to go for my cruise but by the time it arrives, I'm hoping to be as ready as I can be.

Thanks, again, for the wonderful trip report. It really made my day reading it and it only made me that much more anxious for my cruise. By the way, I would really love to surprise my DD (20), DD (18) and DS (15) with some sail away gifts. Does anyone have any great suggestions?

Karen :disrocks:
