Lucky #13 with pics ~ 9/25 Finished!!!

Oh, I love this story!! The driver asked if anyone was having their first visit to the magic Kingdom that day. A family with two girls, maybe 8 and 10 years old spoke up. The bus driver told them to look hard, because he had heard there was a castle nearby and maybe if they look very hard they would see it. They pressed their faces to the window as we came up the hill, and saw Cinderella Castle for the first time. They were so excited, saying, “I see it! I see it!” It was precious! Tears came to my eyes

Aaww, that's so sweet!

yes she not only sings it, but when the area is cleared enough and we don’t have children that we have to worry about dropping dead from embarrassment on the spot, we will also dance)

I dance in public, too. DS13 hates it! :rotfl:

They had met the Dream Team! Chuck and Emily had been given wrist bands and invited to come back to Tomorrowland at 11 pm. The Magic Kingdom would be closed for a special party just for them and they would be allowed to stay in and ride rides for an hour after the park closed!!!

How cool! That's the second dream I've read about tonight that was different than what I've been hearing. And I'm so glad you and Jake got to go, too!

Back on the street on our way to the rafts, we were stopped by a man who flashed us a Disney Security badge and said, “Do you mind if I ask you a few questions?”

Oh my gosh, I can just feel the dread in the pit of my stomach if that had happened to me! :scared1: Glad it turned out OK!

Enjoy your book, but hurry back and tell us more!!!

Denise

Ok, folks! I SURVIVED HARRY POTTER!! (I was a little maimed, however.) But did he survive? Well, I'm not gonna tell ya! But you know what that means..... Day Three, Part Two is on its way!:thumbsup2

Day Three Part Two

Our Dream Hour In Magic Kingdom!!

After our nap, we changed into our tie dye Mickey head shirts, (love that in room washer and dryer!!) and were back in MK by 8 pm. We decided to take our time strolling down Main Street and have a look in all the shops.
In the back of the Main Street Exhibition Hall, there are different cut outs for picture taking. We played around for a bit.

On down the street, we watched a CM blowing glass. He was making a Mickey!!:thumbsup2

Day3part2010.jpg

Chuck was fond of this one.

Day3part2011.jpg

Check out this price tag!:scared1: There ain’t nothin magical about that price
Day3part2012.jpg

Sorry, but if I had that kind of money, I’d be investing it in DVC!

We took our time walking. Pal Mickey said the line for Pooh was short, but he lied! We passed on that and did Small World instead. As we made our way around, we stopped off for a Dole Whip to get our sugar high going.
By we, she means herself and me, the kids don’t need any help in that department As the time for Wishes neared, we boarded the TTA. I’ve always wanted to watch it from there. You can’t see it all, but you catch quite a few cool shots. Here’s one.

Soon it was 10:45 and time to head to Tomorrowland for our Dream! We were so excited, wondering what would lie ahead.
There was a roped off area in Tomorrowland complete with a stage and sound system and CMs guarding the entrance,
ready to use their flashing red wands to beat to death anyone who dared to step across the rope who wasn’t wearing a wrist band
Day3part2044.jpg

After they checked our wristbands, a Dream Team member came over to congratulate us again. She gave us a special button to wear and a schedule of all the attractions and shops that would be open during our Dream Hour! they told us they had handed out 3,000 wristbands, but it looked like only about half of those people showed up

Here are our button wristband and schedule!

At 11 PM, our Master of Ceremonies arrived to congratulate us and announced everything that would be open. He mistakenly said Haunted Mansion to everyone’s delight, but later it was announced that HM was still under rehab.:guilty:

Day3part2045.jpg

He introduced our DJ and everyone was up dancing in the middle of Tomorrowland! time to get my grove on!!!!!

Those of you who are squeamish may want to avert your eyes. Jake (who was much to cool to dance) caught this shot of us. this was before he hid in embarrassment, which is a shame because I can do a mean YMCA!!!!!!

JakeDay5-6017.jpg

Oh not too bad! He caught us in mid-groove!

Some DISers sent their son over to ask if we DISed when they saw our shirts. We waved at them but didn’t get their names. Hey, anonymous DISers! Hope you had fun at the party!:wave2:

Soon more special guests arrived to welcome us.

Day3part2048.jpg

Yes, Mickey and Minnie themselves came to dance with us and count down to the start of our Dream Hour! After our countdown they officially started our Dream Hour, with fireworks behind the TTA. You can’t see them in this shot, but you can see everyone’s faces lit up! It was so unexpected!

Day3part2050.jpg

We ran over to Adventureland (yes, you can really run when there’s practically no one there!) to ride the Magic Carpets. Chuck and Em rode it a couple of times. They especially liked trying to figure out how to get the camel to spit on the riders.
On Pirates, not only did we have our own boat, we each had our own row!
It was then we made our momentous decision. Jake and I would ride BTMR. BTMR started all this Dream Hour business, after all. We thought, “hey, it’s dark so we won’t be able to see if we are going to die. AND there won’t be as many people around to see us freak out! Let’s do it!”
So here for your viewing and listening pleasure, our first total family ride on BTMR!!

The one screaming and asking if it is over, that would be me.

Honestly it wasn’t so bad. We rode twice more. The last time we were told if no one was in our lane to get on, we could just stay on and ride again! Awesome!!!
By now it was 12:25 and our Dream Hour was coming to an end. We slowly headed for the entrance. MK is so beautiful at night!

Day3part2067.jpg

Mickey and Minnie were waiting with the friends to tell us good night. The Master of Ceremonies had a microphone and told each guest good night and wished us many more happy dreams!

Day3part2068.jpg

Good Night, Mickey and Minnie!!! Thanks for making our Dream come true!!!

I have heard one other DISer over on the Million Dreams board that was at the same party as us, but I haven't heard of it happening again. I can't believe some people didn't show up, but we did meet one other couple with wristbands who had a very small son. They weren't sure they were going to make it. I hope they were able to stay! There surely weren't 3000 people there, more like 1000.
Thanks for reading!!:thumbsup2

What a neat Dream! I would enjoy that one, but the boys (DH & DS) would be asleep at the hotel, lol.

I'm really enjoying your TR.

We've just about gotten our next installment finished, but we had such a horrible day. Two weeks ago we adopted two kittens, DK (Darth Kitious) and Agatha. They were born under our barn. We took Aggie to the vet today because she was losing weight so quickly. It was feline leukemia and we had to put her to sleep. We will know about DK next Friday. He is doing great but we are really scared he may have it too. Also, our three other kitties have been exposed. It is much harder for older cats to contract, so we are hopeful. I know it may seem kind of silly to ask for prayer for cats, but if you are inclined, we would appreciate it. Health for our kitties and strength for all of us to bear what may come. Thanks.
