You guys are doing a great job with the Trippie!!! Sorry it took so long to find it but computer time has been limited with my darn dry eyes...but they are better now that I had tear plugs placed. Anyhoo the Trippie is great and I can't wait to read more. The video's are great also!!!

This is Lynn. Don't tell Chuck, but I've never seen the movie. I did listen to the soundtrack album in high school until I wore it out. (Yes, album!) Ooops, the song's back in my head again.

Yeah, Jen is here!!! I'm so sorry I have visited your report, but this Disney post trip thing has really gotten me this time. I haven't been reading anything on the boards until we started this. I just want to keep our trip fresh until I get it all down, you know?
It would be so much fun to meet you! Do they have a Disney store in Rock Hill? We don't have one in Columbia. I've heard they are building one at Concord Mills. It's still an hour away.

I totally know what you mean - I am behind on everyone's TRs and PTRs! And everything else LOL We don't have squat in Rock Hill, but there is one in Pineville at Carolina Place Mall. There actually used to be a Disney Store Outlet at Concord Mills, but it closed down when they closed several stores a couple years ago. But since you mentioned it, I went to the mall website, and it sure does say "Coming soon!" I have no idea why on earth they'd close it down and then open it again, but that's cool. Concord takes about 45 min to get to from Rock Hill - and I drive too fast (according to DH ) - you must drive REALLY fast to make it in an hour from Columbia LOL Maybe we can plan a shopping trip when it opens

I wonder if I could find the Xanadu soundtrack on itunes? I was 10 in 1981 and spent literally hours rollerskating in my basement to the tape soudtrack I got for christmas...aaah memories.

I've never been to Concord Mills, but my friend told me it was an hour away. maybe she drives really fast!
A shopping trip sounds great! DH was joking yesterday since we are thinking of cancelling my birthday Disney trip, he'd just take me there for my birthday. Not quite the same.

I’m aghast! You know you think you know somebody after being married to them for 16 years and then you find out something as earth shattering as they have never seen Xanadu. Oh well, Netflix to the rescue!! Until the video gets here you will have to do some heavy 80’s immersion therapy by viewing Xanadu Vids on YourTube and listening to my extensive collection of ELO LP’s (the best band ever!!!! Jeff Lynn, you are the greatest (next to Jamie of course)). Also, I think a viewing of Breakfast Club, 16 Candles and Weird Science are in order (all dressed up with nowhere to go….)

Crystal, glad you liked the Jaccuzzi, it will figure into an interesting story in Day 4 (no, not that way. This is a Disney vacation, there is no time or energy for fun and frivolity)

In addition to our trip report Lynn and I decided that we would share a few of our observations that we made during our trip.

Observation #1 - Camera Envy
– Actually Lynn made this observation. This is the first trip that I have made with something more than a Point and Shoot camera. As I walked around the parks with my brand new Fuji cinderblock hanging around my neck, Lynn noticed that as I walked past other people (mostly men, also with black boxes hanging around their necks) they would check out my camera equipment from the corners of their eyes. I am proud to say that there was only a couple of occassions where I found myself checking out another person's camera.

Observation #2 -
RestRooms -Where else but Disney…..Could a grown man walk into a restroom with a camera or assortment of audio/video equipment slung around their neck and not get arrested!! Or even get an disapproving glare.

How exciting to get an upgrade Now you are going to be spoiled like me. Everytime we go now it seems we find ways to get a bigger room. (Our monthly budget has a constant Disney Fund.) We started out at Knights Inn and now we are going for a 2bed at OKW. Thank goodness for DVC rentals
