Luck With Room Requests?

We are staying at the All-Star Movies December 4th-9th, in a preferred room. We'd like to make a room request for either the Toy Story or Fantasia sections. What I'm asking is, how early did you make your room request and how successful were you in getting your request filled? Talked to Disney this morning and was advised to do it upon online check-in.

You can make requests any time from the day you book up until 4-5 days prior to your arrival. Making them earlier doesn't up your chances, I just like to get it done.

Whether you get your requests granted or not is completely dependant on occupancy and how many others request the same. So it's impossible to say what your odds are.

Because there can be many factors including occupancy as stated above , if that is your highest priority I would only request that.
You can always do traditonal ( not online) check in and ask where the room is , and if it's not within that section politely inquire if there is one available. It never hurts to ask !

I booked a FD package this morning, but forgot to add my room request to the reservation. Do I have to call to do this now, or is there a place online where it can be done? I check my current reservation online, but did not see a place to add a room request.

You would need to call but this call can be made up to 3-5 days before your arrival date and would not affect it being granted or not. Try calling as early as possible or the weekend if able.

We've made them at various times and never had one granted, so I finally gave up making them on our last trip. Ironically, that trip was when we got our best room ever, and it was a huge upgrade, too.
