My boyfriend and I have been trying to eat a lot less carbs (not doing Atkins specifically) and have both lost a lot of weight. We are trying to plan out our meals for our September trip and want to make sure that we stick to low carb eating as much as possible without feeling like we are missing out on all the yummy Disney treats!
Has anyone doing the low carb thing successfully made it through your WDW vacation without gaining weight while still having a few goodies?
We are planning on trying to coordinate meals so that we can have one meal with more carbs than we would usually eat as long as we balance out the rest of the day. For example, we are planning on bringing low carb breakfast bars with us for breakfast, but one day we are going to split an order of Tonga Toast (have never had it before). Then we will make sure we do very low carb the rest of the day.
Any dessert items like ice cream, pastries, etc we will limit ourselves to no more than one per day (and only on days where we aren't having a higher carb meal) and will split it.
With all the walking I'm hoping that will make up for the extra carbs, but I would love to hear from anyone who has done low carb at WDW successfully.
