Low Car Rental Rates!

I regularly check car rental rates for our trip in October. I was very surprised how expensive it's been until today! The rates went down almost 50%, so I reserved right away. Just thought I'd let you know. Also, Southwest & Frontier Airlines have GREAT fares from Denver to MCO for anyone who might need that info

All of the rates went down, but in particular Dollar, EZ & Fox.

Hmmmm I don't see where Dollar or Alamo have gone down for the fall. I'm looking for September 28-Oct 9, 2012 and Alamo's rate is $607 inclusive.

This should come down dramatically as those months get closer. Go around the same time each year and usually end up paying around $140 for 10 days inclusive of taxes.

I agree that the rates should continue to fall..and I, of course, will continue checking

Our dates are 10/26-11/4 so maybe the time frame is different pricing. I usually pay about $200-$250 for 12 nights, I'm hoping it goes for that!

For sure keep checking various companies and frequently. Thrifty is coming in at $225.00 all inclusive for OP's date vs. Alamo at $509 for same car class and dates! The difference between companies can be crazy !

Where did you find this rate? I can't find it anywhere, and it's a goodie! I found another great rate this am on AirportRentalcars.com for $289 all inclusive off site..which is still a great rate, but $225 is better

Thanks for the info Eeyoregon..great code! Unfortunately, that is the base rate, the all inclusive rate is $327 or $370 for a full size. At least for today (always subject to change) I think I have the best rate so far..even if I do have to take a shuttle 1/2 mile to get it. I really love just walking downstairs at MCO and picking up the car...but for a hundred bucks or more...I can shuttle it..at least today

Thelionqueen: Sorry about all of my confusing posts...I was participating in 2 different threads re: car rentals and got my wire crossed.

I apologize...the $225 was the base rate . Perhaps this is a sign that I need a nap .

Costco travel always gives me the best price from reputable companies. I just reserve a compact car for a week and the price is $88 total. The best price I can find from Kayak is $120.
