The last few weeks were sooooo frustrating waiting for the hours to come out...every day I'd get on the website and every day I'd see "Hours Unavailable"....how awesome that they're out now and I was a little surprised (pleasantly) at how late the parks were open in mid-May as well.
I found it surprising that on the 30th MGM closes at 10, but Fantasmic is scheduled for 10:30. Usually it's scheduled for park closing or before. My dd arrives that day for her honeymoon, and will be excited to be able to take her new husband to her favorite park and see her favorite show on their first night there.
I'm very pleasantly surprised too! Went last year 5/24-6/1 and MK closed on several nights at 7:00. I'm just so afraid of last-minute changes, because right now things look great!
We will be staying at WDW May 15th-22nd and I noticed on the calendar that Spectromagic will only be shown on the 15th (our first day there so we won't be going to the parks yet) and on Tuesday the 18th. So our only chance will be to see it on the 18th?! I guess we'll be skipping Fantasmic, as we were planning on seeing it that day and it only has one showing.
But why do they run their evening parade only twice a week?
Originally posted by Diamond_Girls I see the calendar on the disney site but it does not show what nights have parades/shows... where are y'all looking? Thanks!
Originally posted by cruisnfamily I'm liking the hours too but I'm afraid it means we should expect bigger crowds. Why else the extended hours? They must be expecting crowds.
I'm hoping that it won't be too crowded but I think you are right. I would think that extending hours in the parks is costly and I can't think of any other reason that they would do it.
during slower periods, the evening parade is always just on Tuesday and Saturdays, and the park stays open later hours on thoses days, don't know why, that's just the way it is....I think Spectro is too expensive to put on every night
