LOVE or HATE FP+ Anyone's mind been changed ??

And even if the complaints have no basis in reality, it is important to note that they exist. If for no other reason than to show that more education is needed. If you want to go on believing that all 18 million people who visit WDW each year have the same understanding of this new system as you, then fine.

Jimmy, You and I have agreed on this before. Why the new concern for the guest who doesn't understand Fast Pass and posts so on Tripadvisor? Those guests who didn't understand it and/or didn't use it when it was FP- led to you being able to ride tons of things. Then, because FP+ came out, more people use it, which leads to you being able to get less. But then you go on a new path, showing concern for the remaining guests who still do not get it? Would you rather all guests fully understood FP+, and thus you got even less yet? Already, more people use FP+ than did FP-, so why the concern to see even more?

You can't both advocate being upset by there still being some people that do not use it optimally, wish them to fully understand and use it well, but then also be upset that because everyone is using it, you only get an equal share instead of a competitive edge by knowing more than them.

I would give WDW very high ratings but I see a lot wrong and I've cut back my trips drastically. Something not being a good fit any more doesn't necessarily lead to low ratings.

As for complaints, the company I work for takes every single complaint very seriously. They understand that they can't control all variables but they use the complaints to work on what they could do better.

All good companies take all complaints seriously. Sometimes nothing can be done but all complaints are considered. One of the most valuable things I was taught early in my life was that "it is difficult to build a loyal customer but easy to lose one". Good companies will follow a philosophy that in some ways resemble a version of that saying. I'd like to think(hope/pray) that Disney themselves have a better attitude towards complaints(even the silly ones) than some of the posters on this thread think they should

Not sure how you drew the conclusion that Disney should NOT pay attention. The conversation was regarding guests reading those complaints and permitting the minority to influence your opinion by giving more weight than They deserve.

But if it is a small minority that hates a service while the bulk of guests do, no company worth their weight are going to say--you know what, that small percentage is right, let's do away with the whole thing.

They may try to change your mind. But the last thing they will do is eliminate a program based on a handful of non-specific complaints on a random review site.

If you think good companies do that, it is very wishful thinking.

But--I am glad you brought it up because FP+ HAS improved. So clearly Disney is not ignoring the feedback.

Talk about taking opinion and stating it as fact. It has improved? According to who? From what I am reading it is a mixed bag at best. So the next statement you make on your opinion is that too, opinion.

Complaints: On site guests can book ahead if time while off site guests cannot.
Fact: off site guests can now book 30 days ahead of time.

Complaint: We only get three. It would be nice to get more when we are done using those.
Fact: additional fast passes can be obtained, one at a time, once prior allocation is utilized.

So no--the next statements I make are not opinions unless you dispute these changes. :-)

Quandary. 2 different opinions, one says FP+ is improving, the other says it's been a "mixed bag". I wonder whose opinion I should give more weight to, the one who has used the service repeatedly, or the one who has no experience whatsoever?

Decisions... decisions...

There have been many improvements since FP+ began. Perhaps you're just not up to date on them, but it is a fact that the system has improved. Some of the improvements are just a natural result of people adjusting to it and learning how to best use it to their advantage. With each trip we learn more and use it more effectively- and that's how it's always been with our trips to WDW, long before FP+ began.

I've used it 3 times. It's a mixed bag.

A mixed bag means some things have improved, some haven't.

I never claimed everything was improved nor did I claim the system was perfect.

I said it has improved. Which it has. This compare it to its original roll out and the complaints made then.

Not liking an improvement or not liking that improvements you would like to see have not been implemented, does not change that fact.

Another improvement--the decline in "glitches". They do still occur, but we here less and less from folks with magic band problems or lost FP+.

Oh--and for the first time that I noticed--when the A&E fast passes were wiped out. Folks were made whole and given an additional FP from the issue. While it would have been better to not happen at all, it did and how it was handled is an improvement over other glitches that I have read about.

You are right about one thing....it is only opinions after all. Not like some are stating....ie : "it has improved"

I didn't draw that conclusion...rather responded since it appears others have !...

You do know that your statement " because FP+ HAS improved " is just your opinion...right?

An opinion you dispute?

It has not improved?

No, it has improved. You may not like the improvements, but it has. Unless you are one of those guests who don't like that off site guests get 30 days to book. I guess that would be hard to argue as a fact if you wish they had not done it in the first place. Then I guess your opinion is the correct one. Perhaps Disney will listen to you.

Improvements are in the eye of the beholder. We tried on 2 separate days SLOW SEASON to get add'l fp's. Nothing of any worth of secondary rides available, never mind the major's . By that I mean, no IASW, POTC, HM, PP, or Buzz ...we did however see Monsters...lol. So for us no it didn't improve

Booking 30 days in advance is irrelevant. If we are not doing a day onsite, then we'll book a throwaway. We therefore get 60 days. So for us it hasn't improved !

Again....your opinion.
