Love Kathy and Teresa's 101 segments

I'm hoping that Kathy & Teresa continue with the 101 segments. After they finish the four parks (plus perhaps DTD) I'd like to see them start on the resorts. Some of them have such great back-stories that just lend themselves to a whole show.

Other then the trip to Italy at Christmas, which was offered to us (and other travel agents) by ABD (and we said that).....all of our trips are paid by us.

We were invited to the christening of the Fantasy in NYC and we were invited to the actual party, but every single cost from hotel, to flights, to food, to transportation was paid by us.

With the Podcast Cruises coming up....every single stateroom being used by a Dis employee or a Dreams Unlimited employee is paid by us.

We have three ABD trips this year....all of which will be paid by us, including airfare.

Our recent three night cruise on the Fantasy was part of Disney's Earmarked Travel Agent Conference and the entire ship was travel agents and media. I believe this was also disclosed

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but when the facts are wrong....it needs to be addressed.

One of the things I like best about the show is the integrity behind it. The DIS is always very careful to disclose when something was provided, so I always assume if the disclosure wasn't made, the DIS or Dreams Unlimited covered the costs. In addition, you guys praise and criticize with equal passion and it is truly criticism, not denigration.

Love the podcast! Oh, and I loved the segment Theresa did a couple of years ago when she had the $2500 budget challenge. I'd like to see something like that again.

Ya I bet she'd love that too :)

Just listened to Epcot 101 Future World. Great segment like all your other segments. I'm looking forward to see what you guys do once the 101 segments are done.

Maybe move onto trip planning 101. When to go, and how to tour. Then you guys can package these bad boys so that newbies can use them as a reference, or jumping off point, for coming to disney.

Whatever is coming next i'm looking forward to it. You guys are doing a great job.

I love the 101 segments myself and Epcot was no different. I loved hearing everyone's opinion on 'Captian EO' myself since it's a childhood classic for me it was THE reason to go to Epcot for me as a kid(I sometimes hate to admit it but I was a Michael Jackson fan as a child). My favorite ride next to Captain EO was actually 'Horizons' which is no longer there. I almost avoided 'Mission Space' because I thought it replaced it but I found out later that doesn't seem to be the case. I'm glad I didn't though I really liked Mission Space over Test Track actually.

As for the podcast overall the reason I love it so much is for their honesty the entire podcast crew is so extremely genuine and I love that about it! I have listened to other Disney Podcasts back when I was getting excited about Disney World back in '07 and while they were all lovely shows The Dis Unplugged I came back to even after my trip because I just enjoyed the chemistry of the crew and their unrelentless honesty on all things Disney! Everyone compliments each other so well it's makes for a great show! The best thing about though is it's free! Can't beat that! :thumbsup2

I enjoy the segments from Teresa & Kathy, and I love the idea of taking a virtual walk through the park. I only wish they sounded a bit more structured as they went through the different lands & attractions. Certainly nothing to read from verbatim - I wouldn't want them to sound robotic, but maybe just some type of outline to at least know which direction/order they wanted to go in and what facts they wanted to make sure to point out along the way.

Even if it was just following the order of the numbers on Disney's map with some of their own footnotes thrown in. Teresa tends to check in with Kathy a lot to ask where to go next, and they tend to back-track quite a bit to cover something they forgot earlier in the discussion.

I don't mean to sound negative, and I know recording the podcast is no easy feat. I love to hear Kathy's genuine excitement & appreciation over certain aspects of each park, and it's fun to hear Teresa get excited as she starts to learn about them. :goodvibes

I always thought One Man's Dream should be required viewing!
Not just because I always cry, but also so that people remember....Walt Disney isn't just the name of a theme park or company....but was an amazing man with amazing perseverance.

I was shocked the other day. I was buying a new iPhone and making small talk while the sales guy was processing everything and mentioned our upcoming Disney trip. He actually asked "wasn't there a guy named Disney or something? Is that how they got the name?" I just nodded in disbelief. :sad2:

I love the 101 segments. It makes me feel like I am visiting the parks (while listening to the podcast during my housework). Also, it gives me a great heads up on what I might have missed last visit.

Add me to the list of 101 Segment Fans!

Actually, I can't think of any segments I don't enjoy -- but the 101's are really nice because they offer an introduction, and sometimes remind you of things you just forgot about, or didn't take the time to enjoy.

I hope they do Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon and DTD, as well!

Dare I say I am also eagerly anticipating a resort review for AoA?!

I don't think T and I will run out of 101 segments anytime soon. :) If you have suggestions for places you would like us visit just let us know. We are also looking for your park touring tips to add to the segments.

I'm loving the 101 segments too. I especially enjoyed the AK one, it got me really excited to go there again. I'm actually hoping Epcot WS gets two segements. There is SO much in the countries I can't imagine being able to cover the whole WS in one segment. I always discover something new in WS that I have never seen before. It's one of the reasons I love WS so much.

Again lovin you two!
