How hard is it to get a lounge chair when the ship is at sea? I have heard people on other cruise lines getting up at the crack of dawn to get one. Is there an area where we will have the best chance?

It really depends on where you want to lounge. Last week there were always lounge chairs avaliable on Deck 4 and the small deck on 7. I had no trouble finding seats on Deck 10 but it is windy up there. Around the pools on Deck 9 is where you will have the trouble.

When we were on our 7 day last June we never had a problem getting a lounge chair during the day. The harder task was getting a place during the deck parties!

We went on the 7-day western and unless you went and reserved a spot early in the morning on days at sea you didn't get a lounge chair. The problem was that people would reserve a lounge chair for everyone in the family when only the parents would use them. My husband would go up early to reserve them so we would have a place to sit.:crowded:

The 2/7 cruise was the most windy I have seen it on deck in the 10 DCL cruises we have been on. It is always breezy, but last week was downright gale force up on deck 10 (but it was hot out). We always found chairs up on Deck 10 last week and sometimes on Deck 9 around the adult pool.

We came back to the ship from St. Thomas at about 2:00 pm and the ship was deserted!!! We had the adult pool and hot tubs to ourselves for at least an hour or so and it was fantastic!!!!
