Just saw the new information regarding the new EMH and Evening hours.

Starting in January EMH will only be 4 days a week, no longer 7.

Extended evening hours will be 4 evenings a week.

I can post the parks for each days if the moderators say it's OK.

I will be changing some plans now for my January 15th trip.

I would like to see this.

I'm so happy my trip isn't until August. There's still plenty of time to make my PS arrangements. I feel for the ones leaving in Jan/Feb who had it all figured out.

No problems with posting. If you have a source for this information post this also. I am sure someone will ask you.

Effective January 2, 2005:

Sunday -- MGM (evening)
Monday -- EPCOT (morning)
Tuesday -- MGM (morning); AK (evening)
Wednesday -- MK (evening)
Thursday -- EPCOT (evening)
Friday -- MK (morning)
Saturday -- AK (morning)

Why are they changing this?? Where are your perks for staying on property?? Only one early entry a park?? That stinks. I hope they rethink this.

I have been planning obsessively(as I know many of you seem to do also)for this trip in Feb(our first). :charac2: I already bought PHP's which now I realize I should have waited to do(with new plan, I could have saved over $200.00). Now it seems that my days will all have to be changed(PS's), I tried to plan non-EE park days, it seemed to make the most sense. But with the changes in EE days, it just so happens that all of the days I picked to go to parks are now the EE park days. My obsessive planning is actually quite funny now, I just have to laugh and roll with it(I believe sense of humor is a very valuable quality!).

You still get your perks except now you divide it between Early Magic Hour and Evening Magic Hour.

I like it this way because typically during low season, MK will close at 6/7 or 8 at the latest. This way we get 3 extra hours at night to do more rides.

We were there during the May test and I really like the fact that we could ride the rides when on a normal night we're stuck after 9pm (the latest time that Epcot opens on a normal day) with nothing left to do, especially since we don't really do PI or DQ.

how many hours in the evening? one hour in the a.m. & 3 in the p.m.? is that correct? thanks.

yup, 1 hr in the morning and 3 hrs in the evening.

Would someone please explain what extended hours means? How many more hours after the posted closing time? Is it only selected attractions? Is this only for on site guests? Do you have to get an arm band?

I think I understand the early morning entry.

I, too, was looking forward to daily Early Entry.

A few hours before normal park closing hour, the CMs will begin distributing wristbands. You need to present your resort ID to get one. Once you have your wristband, you can then go on the rides that are open by showing your wristband - while the off-site folks can't go on the rides but they can go shopping. You get 3 hours in the evening and yes, it's for resort guests only.

I'm SO glad my trip isn't until late May. I may have to change so much! We are splitting resorts and I chose the resorts based on what parks we were visiting when. I planned my park visits so they were NON EE days. Think of the poor authors of the Unnofficial Guide...the 2005 edition is out and supposedly good for all of 2005...their up date pages on line will be miles long!

To the OP, can you kindly tell us where you saw this information? thanks.

Way too cool! We aren't morning people at all, so the extra hours at night are awesome for us. I think it's a nice balance now some extra time for morning people and some extra time for us night owls!

On getting the wristbands. Could someone lend their resort ID to someone without a resort ID to get a wristband after the first person got their wristband? Or would you only be able to get one per resort ID? I could see some families with part of the crew staying offsite (or who live in the area) borrowing the resort guest's ID to get the wrist band.

I was thinking the same thing for the passporter! The 2005 version is due out this month!
