LOST SEASON 3 **Official** Discussion/Speculation Thread (No Spoilers)

Even men in their BEST physical condition don't have 10 times their normal sperm count. I like the theory though....
If its true about sperm count-- Kate is TOTALLY preggers.... I mean, come ON.....!!!!

I wonder... if the men are going from nothing to 10 times their sperm count - are the women popping out 10 eggs at a time??? LOL

There is no way Locke is dead. He will quick heal.

Remember season 1 when Danielle was talking about everyone dying on the Island? Do you think this was part of the murders of Dharma?

I think the time line is correct/close.

Could the Hostels be the French Scientist who were with Danielle?

Do we all think the Hostiles were EVIL or do you think the Dharma people were evil & maybe the hostiles just escaped from them?

Isn't Annie the name of the girl that got killed by Sun?????

Jacob is some sort of entity but at this point we don't know what. We think he might be the smoke thing and he might be the one to appear to others as the horse, dead loved ones, etc.

But what about the the ash/dust/whatever ring that Locke found on the way to see Jacob? Are there not some substances that certain entities can't cross? If Ben is holding Jacob hostage in the house Ben could have a ring of that ash/dust/whatever around the parameter in case Jacob escapes to keep him from being able to get too far away. Or even if Jacob can still convert to the other entities when he is back in his "normal" form that ring will keep him confined to a certain area so that no one else can have contact with him.

What do you all think about this theory?

Do you think the women really die on their own or from the "shots" Ben makes them get after giving birth? Do you think he wants to make sure they all die just like his mother did?

As far as Eyeliner Dude is concerned I don't think it was bad makeup or anything overlooked on castings part. I think it was very intentional, as is everything on this show. For some reason in my mind his name is Victor. Don't ask me where I got that either! Why isn't he aging?

His name is Richard.

I think you are Correct. I have heard Silvia Brown say to put a circle of salt around your house to keep dark entities away from it. Maybe it is a ring of salt.

Ben told Locke to get away from it so he might know what it is.

Someone else thought it might be gun powder.

What do we think of the comment Jacob does not like technology? Could it explainthe hidden stations on the island?

The woman die in the 3rd Trimester the birth never happens. The Baby does not survive. That is why they needed Julia.

Maybe he is a pirate....that's all I have to explain the eyeliner. OR maybe he is not human & it is all makeup covering....

I thought the actor (Richard) has had those 'eyeliner' eyes forever. I've seen him before on the show 'Suddenly Susan' with Brooke Shields. I don't think he has any extra make up on.

I *think* the woman Sun shot was named Colleen... but I could be wrong. I'm going to go look on lostpedia...

Its not often we see some of these chracters that it gets so hard to remember who is who.....I think thats why the secret is so well hidden....I think its in our face but we are trying so hard to keep up with all the story lines and stuff that we are blind to it...JMHO...I still say this whole thing will end with why didnt I notice that....why didnt I think of that type thing

That makes perfect sense!

I saw the comment about the substance being gunpowder but I don't think it would have been from anyone other than Ben. He didn't want Locke to investigate it.

Totally random but wanted to bring this to LOST lovers attention again. Another one of those things that makes you go "hmmmm...how does that fit in with the information from this week's episode?"

http://lostpedia.com/wiki/Adam_and_Eve
In "House of the Rising Sun", Jack discovered two bodies in the cave. On these bodies, he found a small bag containing one white and one black rock. Locke gave the bodies the names Adam and Eve.

Facts
They are skeletons found in the caves discovered by Jack in the episode "White Rabbit". They have not been seen since.
The bodies themselves were not discovered until the episode "House of the Rising Sun", when Jack returned to the caves to collect water.
They have been dead at least 40-50 years according to the deterioation of their clothing.
They were carrying one black and one white stone. Jack took these stones and neglected to mention them when Locke asked what had been discovered.

Interview testimony
In an EW.com article, Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse answered the fan question, "What is the meaning or significance of the two skeletons that Jack and Kate found in the cave of season 1?"
CUSE: The answer to that question goes to the nature of the timeline of the island. We don't want to say too much about it, but there are a couple Easter eggs embedded in "Not in Portland", one of which is an anagram that actually sheds some light on the skeletons and hints at a larger mythological mystery that will start to unfold later in the season.
LINDELOF: There were certain things we knew from the very beginning. Independent of ever knowing when the end was going to be, we knew what it was going to be, and we wanted to start setting it up as early as season 1, or else people would think that we were making it up as we were going along. So the skeletons are the living -- or, I guess, slowly decomposing -- proof of that. When all is said and done, people are going to point to the skeletons and say, "That is proof that from the very beginning, they always knew that they were going to do this."

One, the anagram, could be Mittelos -- "Lost Time" or "Time Slot" -- and there could also be something embedded within the Room 23 video.
The other may be the reversed audio from the Room 23 footage. When played backwards the words "Only fools are enslaved by time and space." is repeated extremely clearly. It is possible to make the names "Adam and Eve" from the letters of this phrase.
Two stones appear on a table in Desmond's flat in his flashback during "Flashes Before Your Eyes". (It is also possible that the "stones" on the table in Desmond/Penny's flat are in fact just the bottle caps that came from the empty beer bottles on the floor around Desmond. Higher resolution screen caps/set photos may be helpful)
