Lost Passport

Why would you have put your passport there in the first place?

The reason they were in there is because very shortly after we got home from the previous vacation, my mother went into the hospital with pancreatitis. So when i was rushing her to the hospital, we were also looking for her insurance card and the passports were in her purse. She moved them out and into the glovebox so that they would be safe and not in the hospital where we don't know who would be moving around her belongings. She was in the hospital for over a week and by the time she got out after having emergency surgery and being miserable the passports were the least of our worry.

Hey everyone! OP here, I realize I'm bringing this post back from the dead but I thought you all would be interested to know that almost a year after the cruise, I have found the lost passports! They were in MY glovebox at the very back. When we first looked last year we looked in the glovebox of my mom's car but I guess we didn't even think to check the glovebox of my car. Hahahaha I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw them sitting in there!

I'm so glad the mystery is solved!

And now you've added another "just in case, look there" spot for those of us who sometimes lose things.

Wow, that was quite the read!! Off to secure my passports and double check expiration dates right now.

And I thought mailing off DD's passport renewal 5 weeks before our Mexico trip was nerve-wracking!!
