I was under the impression that Sayid had tortured before (was trained for it), and then made the comment he never wanted to do that again...maybe I took it all wrong. I could barely watch that scene - I looked between my fingers until it was over with

I'm not usually a big fan of surprises (I peek under the wrapping paper at my Christmas presents) but I'm so engrossed in this show I will go where it takes me. I love reading the theories, but it's not important to me to figure it all out. Having said that, though, if this turns out to be a dream or aliens, I'm gonna be POed!

Anyone that has the opportunity, Sayid is on ET tonight and it gives some sneek peeks at tonight's episode! We will get a good look at his past tonight with more revelations!! Is this show running long each week or is my timer off? Each week, I PVR this and it seems to cut off at the end about 2 minutes short!

Is it running into the 9 pm slot? I am going to have to start watching this when it is actually on instead of later that night. I am so mad I missed the end...I got to the part at the end where Sayid was running through the woods and then stopped to look around...

What happened after that??

It is running over. Set your timer for about 5 after and you should get it all.

Sayid was hearing noises, like things moving in the jungle and whispering. I guess like the French lady told him she heard. He was just looking around in all directions to see if he saw anything.
Ugh! I don't know how I can possibly wait 2 weeks for the next episode!

Sawyer is eye candy, but I think there's so much more to him than they're showing us right now. If I was Kate I wouldn't give ole boring Jack a second thought . No offense to all of you Jack lovers, I like him too, but Sawyer is exciting and oh so hot! Those eyes, those dimples, and I love that southern drawl.

I've never seen Lord of the Rings, so I don't have the "previous" connection to Charlie, but he is really cute and sweet. I just wish they had made him a little more realistic. I'm sure this is the Charlie before the drugs, but he should be in withdrawls now and certainly couldn't be taking care of Claire. It's TV, though, so I'll forgive them. I think Charlie and Claire are cute together. I can't wait to see what happens when she has the baby.

Anyway, it's going to be hard to wait two weeks 'til the next episode. I'm thinking next month might only have one, maybe two episodes with Christmas and New Years

Every week I think we're going to get some answers, and I just end up with more questions. I'm wondering about the electricity, too. And if there was any significance when the french woman said "there's no such thing as monsters." I've resigned myself to the fact that it will probably be a loooong time before any of my questions are answered, so I'm just going to enjoy the show.
Unfortunately, you're probably right about them showing only a few episodes until after Christmas. It's going to be soooo hard going without it. I hope they show re-runs during that time.

Oh I love their accents too, but I'm a southern girl and I'm a sucker for those southern boys!
I liked Sayid before this episode, but I like him even more now. His story seemed so real. Sayid is right up there after Sawyer .
Charlie's running a close third.

Well, we're going to have to be friends now because because I believe you and I are the only 2 people on these boards digging Sawyer .

Now, to tonight's episode. I was surprised at how fast the hour went by. I was so engrossed in Sayid's story. I was confused, though, when he told the French woman that Nadia (was that her name?) was dead because of something he did. Then it showed her leaving and him saying he hoped she was still alive and out there. Did I miss something? I taped it, but I haven't had a chance to re-watch it yet.
