Alright, I just saw it also and I just had to add...at first I thought it was some sort of cannibal thing but as I got into it I decided to not think to much into it and see what happens. It's been fun reading about what other people think the thing is. I will definately have to watch this Wednesday. SOOO glad Matthew Fox is back...although I'm trying not to think of him as Charlie

Watching only parts of this, due to my doing laundry that evening. If I remember correctly, did he not have drugs right before the crash in the bathroom, he was in the process of disposing of them right before it happened. Maybe he thought there was a chance of being able to retrieve them.

Please someone post what happened last night!!! We tape the show to watch it after our kids go to bed, but last night there was baseball on. Stupid Twin-Yankees game! AARGH. I did see the last 15 minutes (we have two ABC stations but of course I was taping the one out of Minneapolis instead of out of Wisconsin). I turned it on when Kate was remembering pulling that guy out of the burning truck and then the Air Marshall guy showed up. What happened up until that point!? It's driving me crazy not knowing!!

DH and I watched And are loving it even more...

I think Lost and Desperate Housewives are going to show network programmers that the "night soap" format needs to come back...HBO certainly knows Look out "reality TV" LOL!!

The AirMarshall died..it looked like Kate was going to shoot him, but then she walked out of the tent...*sound of gunshot*, and we think *aha, he killed himself*,,,but nope, the blond, aggressive guy shot him - in the chest.....and missed his heart. The Dr ran in and several gurgly sounds later, the Dr walked out of the tent...

The creepy older guy made a whistle to give to the kid's dad, so that the Dad could be the Hero and get Vincent back...cut to a close up of the old guy, and the music gets all creepy...

Hurley is just stressed...too funny!!LOL

I've got to go get supper...enh, maybe we'll just have grilled cheese

Flashback to Kate in Australia Farmer (old guy) finds her in his barn. Asks how she got there and she says she walked. Claims to be an American who ran out of money. His wife died 8 months earlier and so he asks if she would work the farm for pay. She says yes and later he catches her taking money from hiding place in the cupboard. He drives her to town and on the way the Marshall pullls up behind them and the farmer admits he turned her in cause he needed the money. She grabs the wheel tries to run marshall off the road but winds up flipping the farmers truck. It's burning so she pulls him out.

Hope that catches you up on that part.

Does anyone know why the marshal/cop guy that was driving after the farmer and Kate was driving like that??
That seemed very odd to me, why would he be pulling up and taunting her-the farmer just told her in the truck, it seemed like the plan was for them to apprehend her at a diner or the train station- she was only suspicious because of the way that marshal guy was driving behind them.
That whole thing didn't make sense to me.

Oh also I knew when she was about to tell Jack what happened he'd say No, I don't wnat to know-I was very frustrated-*I* want to know! LOL

Reread earlier questions and forgot to give you the other details.
The doctor found the wanted picture of Kate and knows she was the prisoner on board. Hurley also sees it and the DR. says he should not say anything. Dr burns the picture. Black guy went looking for his sons dog and got scared by noises in the tall grass and takes off running comes upon the Japanese lady with her top off bathing and gets really embarassed. Apoligizes and hands her her bra. She was bathing because her husband told her she looked really bad, then followed it up by saying "I love you" they were captioning their conversations last night which I don't remember them doing before.

Thats all I remember for now because my DD was halfway through watching the Tivo of it when I got home and I watched the rest before going back to the beginning and what happened when is a little fuzzy.

I felt the same way, I wanted to know what she did to make the marshall so persistant and pissed off at her. But I got the feeling we were'nt going to get much in the way of anybodies history based on the comment the doctor made about we all died three days ago at the end of the show.

I MISSED the whole show, except for when the Dog came back, and the Creepy bald guy with the weird look on his face. Next week looks REALLY good, think someone dies.

I am so NOT creeped out by the older guy (Terry O'Quinn), I'm not sure why everybody doesn't like him. Although the "secret" he shared with Walt could turn out to be something very weird, but I just don't see it yet.

Next weeks episode does look good! I am really enjoying this show. I really, really want to know what Kate did. $23,000 seems like a pretty big reward so I think it must have been fairly serious but I don't think it's murder. She did put his oxygen mask on him during the crash. I get the feeling she was "involved" with the marshall, but that is probably wrong.

Random thoughts....
I feel sorry for the Japanese lady, her husband is a real jerk! I have a feeling he's going to die and she is going to hook up with the Walt's dad.

Those were some scary noises coming from the jungle when the father was looking for the lost dog. I'm so glad the dog is okay.

How many people are left? I know it said in the first episode but i can't remember. I'm thinking in the area of 60. My husband just noticed the other people in this episode, he thought there was only the main characters.

What is up with the old guy? That was a really nice thing he did with the dog.
