LOST.Discuss the current episodes SEASON PREMIERE Wednesday!!!!

Totally hooked! This is what good TV is all about. I just hope the plot doesn't get seriously out of control.

My guess? There were experiments going on on the island and their largest creature (dinosaur?) got loose and wrecked everything.

Oh yeah. That 16 yr transmission? You know they will find her alive or find her hideout or something. It's too intriguing not to incorporate that a little more.

My personal interest? I'm really curious about Terry O'Quinn's character. I almost get the feeling that he knows something.
Anyone that remembers "Millennium" (TV series, not the movie)can't help but think he's in on the conspiracy.

Episode 1 was great. I have to wait til morning to watch tonights episode b/c I work nights.

Is it this Saturday that they are reshowing the whole thing?

I can't believe what I did!!!

I accidentally taped the wrong channel last night and missed the second part!

He's totally creepy, I wanted the boy to turn around and run! Of course, the only thing I ever think of with Terry O'Quinn is "The Stepfather" LOL.

Yes, Saturday night they are rerunning both parts. Even though I've seen them, I'm going to watch them again!

Lauri and I are definitely hooked! And it definitely moves fast. We were watching last night and all of a sudden they said "stay tuned for scenes from next week's episode" and she said "THAT'S IT???"

I'll be honest -- I have no idea what the secret to the island is, and that's actually the way I like it. The surprise will either be very fun or very disappointing (hopefully very fun).

I hope the Japanese woman gets rid of her husband soon, what a jerk!

What was he trying to feed everybody?...........And why?
Love the show too.

I think they're all dead and are caught in some kind of half-way world.

Or it's some kind of "island of lost souls" place.

Or, it's the backdoor way to bring back the X-Files.

The only problem I see with this series is I don't think you can sustain it for the long haul.

But, it is fun while it lasts.

I see her as a "mail-order bride".

I love this show because, for now at least, it so completely unpredictable. I'm imagining so many different scenarios, which is such fun - everything is a possibility for now.

I agree with Obi-Wan Pinobi that "The surprise will either be very fun or very disappointing (hopefully very fun)."

I hope we're not disappointed.

With J.J. Abrams at the helm, I don't think we'll be disappointed!

I have to say that the Japanese couple intrigue me the most. Why wouldn't he let her eat, but in the first episode he seemed very concerned with her welfare? (Don't leave me....stay near at all times, etc.) And what was she trying to tell the girl in the water? (I think it was Kate.)

I agree....this show goes by way to quickly! Looking forward to next week!:bounce:

I think it was sushi he was feeding them. But being concerned for his fellow man does seem out of sorts with his character. Maybe it is a bad fish and he's trying to get rid of them. I don't think so. If he was, the trailers for the next episode would have shown people getting sick.

Maybe the creature is some sort of large elephant. They have been know to knock down trees.

The Japanese couple intrigue me. I wish that they would sub title each time they speak like they did on the first night.

I really enjoy this show so far. And I'm a Smallville watcher too. I tape Smallville and watch Lost.

We did the exact same thing. It flies by. We love it. My husband has been a JJ Abrams fanatic for a while. The "Japenese" Couple everyone keeps referring to is actually a Korean couple.

Jin (Daniel Dae Kim) - One half of a non-English speaking Korean couple.
Sun (Yunjin Kim) - One half of a non-English speaking Korean couple.

I still maintain that ABC execs are complete and total idiots. I mean come on - by 8:03 pm there was a shot of the pilot up in the tree gored to death. This is not appropriate TV for the 8pm time slot! I actually can't believe they get away with it. I have so much trouble getting down from bedtime routine to watch it from start to finish - and its usually trading off between my husband and myself who actually gets to watch the first half. I really like the show, but it would be more appropriate on at a later time slot.

Have to agree with the bad time slot. We now have to send our 11 y/o dd down to the basement to watch the Disney channel. Poor thing...she just wants to stay upstairs and play with her PollyPockets on the floor while we watch TV. But, with the stuff going on in "Lost", I don't think so!!! We aren't telling her about 'Merry' being in the cast either. But, I love the show. Even dh likes it and we don't often enjoy the same show.

I've been taping it and watching it after the kids go to bed. It is right in the middle of them doing their nighttime routine, plus my 10 y.o. does NOT want to watch it (he scares easily)! I wish it came on at 9:00 instead of 8:00. Too many commercials!!!!

Again, I totally agree about the timeslot! And too many commercials. Hopefully, since this was a two parter, they had more commericial breaks, and next week will be better. Then again, I don't know why they call it part 1 of 2, when I'm sure every week will end just as abruptly.

When it was over I was yelling, MORE!!!!!

I don't think the Thing is "alive." It didn't eat the pilot, just chomped on him. Wouldn't a dinosaur (or any live creature) want to eat him? I'm also thinking someone was experimenting on the island (secret military installation or something) and it went out of control and killed everyone but the person who made the transmission.

I didn't read all the posts, so I'm sorry if this has been theorized already...

I was talking to my friend last night about it and telling her how confused I was - I confuse easily and would rather have things "spoiled" for me so I can enjoy it more.

Anyways, we were chatting, and her theory about the Korean man was that he was offering everyone whatever that was to see if it was good to eat or not. She figured that if he gave it to someone and they were ok, it was safe for him too.

Although I'll tell ya what bothered me: it bothered me that the pregnant woman ate it. I thought sea things weren't good for pregant women to eat?

(I could be wrong, and I acknowledge that, but let it also be known that I'd eat my own hair before chowing down on fish!)

No kidding! That bugged me too! Sushi is on my no-no list. Especially when they don't know if there's anything in the water that could infect the crab - bacteria, crazy evil monster bits, etc.
