LOST.Discuss the current episodes SEASON PREMIERE Wednesday!!!!

I too was disgusted about Locke's shirt. So nasty. I just kept thinking about how it probably smelled.

One thing I didn't get though, is how did Shannon know about the key, the gun case, and the location?

At the end when Sayid was sort of threatening Locke, he sounded "different"
somehow, like maybe he has the "illness."

:sad2:

I thought it was hilarious when Charlie started following Sawyer by the raft and he tried running away from Charlie and the baby. :rotfl:

That was really funny and cute. When he was reading the magazine, at first I didn't realize what he was reading, that was hilarious.

Locke's shirt was nasty and let me tell you by the time those scenes happened it no longer would have been that red and the smell would have been horrible. I went with a friends grandmother to help her clean out an apartment of a woman who had died. She lived in a senior housing apartment and had fallen and hit her head badly. The next day when someone came to check on her they found her on the floor near the front door. There was a puddle of blood on the carpet. They had cleaned it up as best they could and we went over to help pack up her stuff several days later. The smell at the point was really bad and someone told us it was much worse. To this day if I smell that same smell even faintly it makes my stomach roll. And this was in an apartment, not a nice tropical island where the humidity is probably near 100% all the time.

And the thing that grossed me out the most was when he washed it off where they get their drinking water from. Yuck!!!!

I just can't believe he actually washed it! YUCK! Just throw it away. Someone surely would have given him another shirt! Ick!

I thought the same thing & even commented to DH about it. But, then I saw that he was actually just standing by the spring and was rinsing the shirt into a bowl

I didn't notice that, I just saw him there and thought "that is totally gross man go clean that somewhere else"

Can someone explain to me why Locke hit Sayid over the head and took the transmitter? I saw the clip, but I still don't understand why he thought it was dangerous.

After Locke confessed he told Sayid it was in everyone's best interest. Sayid said you ruined my chance to find the source. Locke said the source of a distress call that kept saying they're dead, it killed them all over and over? Is that a place that you really want to lead people to? Sayid realizes he's right and lowers the gun. Sayid says why did you wait all this time (to tell him)? Locke says back then you wouldn't have engaged in a reasonable debate. Nobody would have you were all so focused on getting off the island that you weren't seeing things clearly.

So, the way I took it, Locke figures if they found the source of that distress call they may have all become infected.

Thanks. I get it now :)

OK, I let the tape keep rolling and I realized something I missed last night. After this exchange between Locke and Sayid, Sayid goes into the flashback where he is trying to convince his friend to go through with the suicide bombing. The friend is saying he's not sure he can go through with it due to the innocent lives that will be lost. Sayid said true innocent lives will be lost in service to a greater good (the title of this episode). I think that's when Sayid realizes that what happened with Boone (and Locke destroying the transceiver) was in service of the greater good of the survivors. My guess is Locke now has Sayid on his side (remember when he told Boone not to make Sayid mad because they would need him on their side?)

I do remember Locke saying they need Sayid on their side, which I guess means two sides will be formed. I'm assuming Jack will be on the other side. Also Sayid did say he realized Locke is the key to getting off the island, not sure how he knows that.

My guess (about how he knows) goes back to Locke telling him about the distress signal and destroying the transceiver. I think they've all suspected for some time that Locke is sort of connected to the island, a little "different" and has now shown Sayid that he's thinking more clearly than the rest of them.

I don't think he said Locke was the key to getting off the island; I think he said Locke was their best chance of surviving on the island.

Yep... last minute or so of the show.

Sayid: How's your head?

Locke: It'll heal.

Sayid: Another war wound.

Locke: I know what it cost you... to do what you did.... Thank you.

Sayid: I did it because I sense you might be our best hope of surviving here.... but I don't forgive what you did.... and I certainly don't trust you.... and now, you're going to take me to the hatch.

Locke: Hatch? I already showed you...

Sayid: John... no more lies.

Musics builds... LOST (with base drum sound) :)

Posting on both threads: there's a segment on 20/20 tonight about LOST!
