My sister happened to lose her hotel room card key from our last trip which had her tickets on it. She had a bunch of leftover days (I got sick, ruined everything). We're going again on Friday. Is there any way that they could retrieve our ticket information from our last stay at check-in or at Guest Services? I'd hate to lose those days, and since she placed her tickets on her key card, we don't have a ticket copy with the information.

Help!!

It would have been easy to get the key card and tickets replaced if it was reported right away at WDW. (Or was the card lost after she returned home?)

Now that you are back home and going again, it does not hurt to ask when you get down there, but I can't say for sure the answer is yes the ticket will be re-issued. While you would go to the resort, they might not have a link to the number of park days consumed.

When ticket information is put on a room key card, the codes on the back of that are good and sufficient to identify the ticket information.

Do you have someone else's room key from the same trip? Bring that with you, as the codes/names on the cards should be closely linked. That would help the CM get to your info faster.

Was it part of a package or the MYW passes with non-expiring days on them? If it was a non-expiring days pass then they should be able to look the card up in the computer.

1) All hotel keys with days have ticket numbers.
2) With your case, they can recover the key number.
3) It might take some research.

This is exactly why I got a print out of my ticket #'s from Guest Services before I left the resort. I hope everything turns out good for you. pixiedust:

It can be done but it will not be a quick process.

After your resort stay has ended, the information in your folio is removed from the resort's computers and stored offsite in the "resort archives" computer. Once that transfer happens, there will then be no easy way for Guest Relations to track down your ticket. You can't just say "I stayed at Port Orleans Riverside on such and such dates, so can you find my tickets?" and magically have them appear. But all is not lost.

Without the ticket number (which you wouldn't have had access to in the first place since it's encoded in the magnetic strip of the ID but not printed anywhere to see visually) or the actual ID to physically swipe the magnetic strip, there is little to no chance of replacing that ticket easily. If you have another resort ID from the same stay, it will make the process a little easier.

But it can be done with perisitance and a lot of detective work. Just be sure to cut the CM who's doing it some slack. :teeth:

Thanks everyone! I don't think I have any of the other card keys either, but I'll look. It was a 6 park hopper with no expiry and we basically used 2 of the days on it, so it's quite a loss.

Thanks again!

It'll be tough, but definately round up as many of the tickets that were grouped together.

There are two numbers on the front of the ticket. The ID number is the "folio" that Golden says is removed. That number is useless once you check out. The number in the middle of that card is the ticket number - which a clever CM can scan or mentally decode to find your ticket. It may take some time like Golden said....
