Any women out there in their early 40's who somehow have gained 10 pounds in a year and now not one of those pounds is willing to budge, even with pretty healthy eating??? I admit, until a week ago, I didn't do much regular exercise, but was a fairly healthy eater. Even cutting back on calories didn't seem to move a single pound, so *sigh* I'm working at getting in some good exercise at least 5 days per week. After about 10 days, still no pounds gone. I'm thinking I may need to keep the exercise going while trying a 'structured' diet.
Any suggestions??? We're cruising in two months and I refuse to buy bigger clothes! (My mother says that this is how it is as a woman in my 40's, but I don't accept that!)
I am in a similar situation but it was more like 10 pounds a year for a couple of years. I tried dieting but nothing ever lasted. I finally decided it had to just be excercise related. I started a couch to 5K running program with the goal of the Castaway Cay 5K race. It sounds really daunting but it has not been bad. I started 4 weeks ago and I did add lifting weights a little too. The first week (working out/running-walking 3X a week) nothing happened. The second week I gained weight
