Just in case anyone was curious, this is a pretty cool game. DH got it for me for Christmas (along with Harry Potter and Rachet & Clank, though I haven't started Harry Potter yet). We've been playing it for quite a while now any chance we get, and we're *very* impressed.
There's really not a whole lot to the gameplay, but the cinematics and some of the special effects (like transitions between movie scenes and game scenes) are some of the best we've seen, and if you're in the mood to just hit and kill things (using fairly cool special attacks which are actually, for once, fairly easy to perform), it's a great game.
There's not really any role play in this one, the idea is you're either Aragorn, Legolas, or Gimli (you get to pick which) and you're fighting your way through both Fellowship of the Ring and the Two Towers. I usually like more to a game than running around killing things (ie: I like puzzles thrown in to the game as well), but despite the lack of puzzles, this is a very addicting battle game. And some of the special attacks you can do are really cool once you learn how to do them, and there are some really challenging bosses.
For battle games, we give it two thumbs up!!
