Loot Crate or GeekGear box?

Does anyone have any experience with either of these subscription services? I was wondering what people's opinions were and did they feel like these boxes were worth the $? Considering one or the other as a Christmas gift and I don't want t o gift something that isn't good quality or provides poor service.

there is a great website that has reviews of subscription boxes. My son has LootCrate and likes it because you can choose to skip a month once the "spoliers" come out - google mysubscriptionaddiction

I've done LootCrate. We really liked it. The months we did it, we got a pretty nice t-shirt, a PoP figure, a small comic, and some other little things. One of my tees is Deadpool asking for tacos, then I have a skull made of cats. DS has a Loki-Joker mixup shirt too. (We would change shirt sizes every other month).

Does anyone know of any good ones for Craft Beer and Red Wines? I think that may be good for my dd and her boyfriend.

We get both Loot Crate and Geek Fuel here. I have a DH, DS13 and DD20. One of them comes in the t-shirt size that DH wear and one comes in the t-shirt size that the kids both wear. Every month there is happiness. There are always a few items that they wrestle over, and a couple things that everyone says "meh". Overall, they have been happy.

I was a big fan of Lootcrate for about a year, but finally gave up earlier this summer and cancelled when three or four boxes in a row had almost nothing I cared about.
I switched over to their tee-shirt only service for a while, but grew unhappy with that as well because their tee shirts were never consistently sized, so every month I had to go check the size chart and change my preference - the shirts that came in the regular lootcrate had always been the same. After they sent me a mens 3x instead of a ladies 3x and then couldn't exchange it because they were sold out, I gave up and canceled.

DH and I got a 1 year Lootcrate subscription at a good rate last year. When it ran out last month I wasn't planning to renew, not because we didn't enjoy it but because we didn't really budget for it again. Well, I could tell DH was sad with that, so I found a good deal again and we have another year coming. This month is Harry Potter and Dr. Strange so I am excited. DH takes most of the items, but there are some things that I love and claim for myself, like the replica of the Planet Express from Futurama and the Labyrinth t-shirt.
