Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point

Did it seem like a lot of people were taking the golf carts from the ship? Thanks for the review of Lookout Cay.
Each time I have been there has only been maybe 150 or so Guests that have gotten a ride on the way to the island. I would say that as word spreads about being able to access this, more will do so. Or people returning to the island who tried to walk it last time and realized they struggled will get a ride next time

I just came back from Coco Cay again…man it’s honestly heaven on earth. They really went all out it’s themed so well. I just wish this island was as good or even a fraction as good. I’m going to visit to check it out but man Coco Cay was so well done

I have heard a number of Guests describe Lookout Cay as Heaven on Earth. People like different things, but Lookout Cay is about as different from Coco Cay as you can get

Are the flies still an issue around the food areas? Trying to decide if I want to throw a fly swatter in the beach bag.

I disliked Coco Cay. I do like Royal though. I guess everyone definition of heaven on earth is different. I haven't been to LP yet. CC is nice, but I'm not a beach person. My definition of heaven on Earth is Iceland , Norway, or Alaska

We are booked to go in March of next year. Initially I was worried but then realized Disney would work out the kinks (shading/flies) etc and that this isn’t really a private Disney island. I think if you accept it as Disneys private beach you are likely to look at it much differently. The sand and water appear beautiful. It appears secluded and comfortable.

There is definitely lots of room for improvement but I would compare it to coco cay. If you want insane theming and highly themed environments you could just go to WDW. No need to create another park on an island. I hope they improve the food options and bar options. Create some different options. I do think maybe they cheaped out with the foliage. Or maybe it was a conservation think of not relocating trees and instead planting new trees and shrubs.

I’m looking forward a beautiful beach and some bbq food on Lookout Cay. Now that the fly situation is fixed I’m excited to go.

If you are looking for more then a beautiful beach it appears you will be quite disappointed .

We didn't love it during our two stops on the inaugural cruise on the Fantasy (the one with all the flies 🪰🤢). No desire to go back but we are, yet again, next month (again on the Fantasy), as it was the only cruise that fit with a previously planned WDW trip during DS8 fall break.

While we aren't overly excited, we are hoping the experience will be somewhat better four months later. DM70 also won't be with us for this trip, so the walking will definitely be much easier on us this time. Those dunes though...

Third time's the charm, right? 🤞
