there will be 8 of us 6 adults 2 kids, 13 and 11 over Christmas break. Not looking to go to parks maybe one day at SeaWorld. Just want to get away so looking for a community with a great pool, club house, a private heated pool and a game room. Windsor hills looks awesome so leaning toward that but as I said we are not looking at parks so being very close to Magic Kingdom is not a priority.

Try posting on the Orlando Resorts board, lots of folks there are knowledgeable about house rentals.

I'll move this to the Orlando Hotels board, that's where you'll find the most info on off-site accommodations. :)

Emerald Island is an option, Windsor Hills obviously. If you are not too interested in parks you could try Omni Champions Gate or Reunion, slightly further out. Both are very high standard.

Have you looked at Homeaway and VRBO? You can see what is available in the different areas.

3 years ago, we used Villa direct. Plenty of houses available. I believe we ended up paying @ $100 a night for a 3 BR "villa" - really a townhome - with a small private pool and community facilities - pool, arcade, playgrounds, movie theatre, etc.. The one (and big in my mind) problem I had with them is that the pool alarm on the sliding glass door didn't work. The home was clean, updated, comfortable, and spacious.
