Hello,

We are looking to add on somewhere between 150-200 points at BCV for a September use year. I cannot for the life of me find a contract that is for Sept use year at BCV on the resale market.

How does one go about finding a contract? Do I put in a request and wait? Should I just add on with Disney direct? Does anyone know the price of the points with DVC direct? Thanks! Katherine

ummmm....I don't think you are supposed to post specific UY or contract size on the boards. You need to just look at the resale websites....the Timeshare store, Fidelity resale, resale dvc etc.

I also have a Sept UY and add ons are VERY difficult to find. Price thru Disney is $115.

I waited 11 months on the TSS & Disney wait list for my final add on.:sick:

I would suggest getting on the Disney wait list and also the Timeshare store list...then you can pick the 1st one that comes in....its what I did!!;)

I think some of the agencies can keep you on a list to call if the right contract comes up. I don't think The Timeshare Store does that, but you can get on their email list to get their listings before they go up on the website. ACT FAST if you see what you want. For that many points, I wouldn't pay the direct price.

I think this is one of the reasons why I read so often that people end up going through Disney for BCV--finding certain UY's seem to be difficult!

I hope that something comes up for you soon!!!

Thats exactly it! We have a september use year too. We did two add ons at BCV. One thru a resale and one thru disney to get the amount of points that we wanted. Get on the wait list today!! It took about 7 months for us to get both contracts and oddly enough they came thru about the same time. Good Luck!!!

Thank you for sharing. I want an OCT UY but was considering opening up to SEPT just to expand my options some. But I think I'll just stick with OCT since I'll be buying a small contract and might want to add on later.

Thanks for all the advice. Luckily I am not in a huge hurry but it's good to know that there are some "waitlists." I know the transfer itself can take quite a while. $115 is super steep for points IMHO and DH would never want to pay that. But I can see how the demand can make it tough to get points right away.

I love Sept use year so I guess the wait is worth it. I do see some AKVs for Sept so we may consider that instead if we can't find BCV, since we already own at Animal Kingdom.

You definitely want to go with the UY that you feel will give you the most flexibilty.

I made that mistake when I bought my VWL contract to get the foot in the door. I went with an Oct UY and we travel in summer. After I bought, I realized I should have waited for something better, especially since I was adding on at BLT and didn't want to have those Oct as well.

I got really lucky that DVC allowed me to add on at BLT and change UY's without meeting the 160 minimum so that is how I ended up with June, which works much better for me.

We added on at BCV (March UY) this summer thru Disney. The price was higher, but after looking for over a year for a resale with the right amount of points we decided to do it thru them. We received 2010 points as well and we didn't have to wait at all. I called our guide from the pool and did it over the phone. At that time, it didn't seem like many BCV contracts were making it thru ROFR. Maybe that has changed though. Good Luck!

We used to always travel in the summer, so we loved the June use year that we have (BCV). Seemed to give us the most flexibility even though we usually went down in late August.

Kids older now, no longer an issue.

When we bought, we thought we'd always travel in the spring, so ended up choosing a December UY. Now our favorite time to go is F&W time. We just have to plan very carefully! Luckily, we've managed to keep from borrowing so far...

Thanks. We love Sept UY since we travel off season usally (too hot in the summers). We are debating buying from our guide (in which case I will wait till July or so to get 2010 points) or buying resale and just searching and searching...
