Looking for your thoughts on the Biergarten

We will be at WDW in early May with a 4y/o and a 6 1/2 y/o. I've been to WDW MANY times but have never eaten at this restaurant. How is the food? Entertainment? Do you think the kids would enjoy it? They are not really picky eaters and will try just about anything. Do they have "kid's meals" just in case they try and don't like the food? Any info would be helpful! THANKS!

We really enjoy Biergarten. The entertainment is fun and upbeat....if you like 'oompah bands'. They play a variety of music....all entertaining. The service is always efficient and the decor is homey.....it's a little like eating outside in the early evening.....it's a little dark but the setting is like you are in a small village.

The food is surprisingly very good and the roast pork keeps me coming back. There is enough variety that I feel your kids will do fine. My daughter can be a bit picky and she does fine here.

It was several years before we tried this restaurant and now it is one of our favorites in the World Showcase area. I think you and your family will enjoy yourselves.

It is one of our favorites. The food has always been better than good for us and we end up eating way more than we should since it is a buffet. They did not have a special kids buffet but had things like hot dogs that most kids would eat. My 2 yo ate there and enjoyed it fine.
I cannot wait to go back. Thinking about it makes me anxious to get to WDW!

My kids love it, they went when they were the same age as yours, there is enough food, that I am sure that they will find something that they like, my girls love the baked chicken, all the different hot dogs and sausages, the spatzel, etc...
the desert are great, they have all kind of baked good, as well as apple sauce and pudding. The entertainment is very good, the can dance and sing..

The food and entertainment was good (if you like sauerkraut and sausage). My husband would eat there every day if he could. A tip to save a little money is go before 3 or 4...it's the same buffet but less money (a lot less). Hope that helps.

I didn't have children when we went but I think a child would enjoy it. Oh, and I think Germany is where I had Black Forest Cake....OH MY!!! IT WAS YUMMY!!!!

I'm so hungry...how will I make it to dinner time?????

Lots of food.Lots of Becks Dark.Lots of fun in the evening. May need a wheelbarrow for the trip out.

We love Biergarten. First trip the kids were 2 1/2 and 11. 2 1/2 DD ate more there than at any other meal at WDW (we were there 8 days). Second trip, 2 yrs later we also had 10 DNi with us, DSi and my 61 DM. Everyone had a great tiem and enjoyed the food and hte show. DS says it is his favorite restaurant anywhere.

Personally, I think this is the worst restaurant at WDW. Food is heavy, bland and greasy. The entertainment is good but it doesn't make up for the horrible food. If I never return to this restaurant it will be too soon. Yuk.

PammyK, tell us how you really feel!

We just ate there with friends who lived on the German economy at one time. They were thrilled as were we with the meal. We always seem to end up there for a meal. DW loves the chicken.

We really like it when we ate there! We all found plenty of foods that we liked.....and the *entertainment* was loads of fun! It is quite a loud, rolicking atmosphere.....made me think of Oktoberfest. I'd definitely do it again!
