Back in 2000/01 I visited the LA area for the Rose Bowl. We were with some distant relatives (who lived in Ontario at the time) and they took us to a beach that had a pier going out into the ocean and there was a restaurant at the end of it. I have been looking online with no luck in trying to figure out what this may have been. If I recall correctly, the building was sort of circular (probably more like an octagon) and it was like a Steak 'n Shake or a Johnny Rocket's type of burger, fries, and milkshakes place. That's about all I remember, except for seeing a guy fishing that caught a little shark, which I couldn't believe being from the midwest. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You might be thinking of Seal Beach Pier. There is a Ruby's diner at the end of the pier.

There is also Huntington Beach Pier, and there is a Ruby's there, too.

Thank you so much. That is it, the one at Huntington Beach. I'm sure my boys will love it.
