Going 1st week of October for some birthdays. My mother loves grilled fish, not salmon as much as white fish. I am having a difficult time finding some on the menus. Any recommendations for some nice fish for a birthday lunch or dinner?

Of the spots currently open, I'd recommend bluezoo (Dolphin resort), Boathouse (Disney Springs), California Grill (Contemporary), Citrico's (Grand Floridian). Boathouse is the only one of these that is also open for lunch - sitting outside by the water can be delightful, weather-permitting.

Not currently open but hopefully opening soon is Flying Fish at the Boardwalk resort. I also really love the vulcan-spiced fish dish at Jiko - not sure if that will still be on the menu when they reopen.

I was pretty happy with the seafood at the California Grill during my April trip. I had the grouper.

In the more distant past, I've had fantastic grilled seafood at Flying Fish (not open right now), Narcoossee's, Kona Cafe (nice mahi thing) and Artist Point (also closed, and before it got Snow Whited, used to be my favorite signature dinner).

Citricos has cobia and tilefish entrees. They are fabulous and the restaurant is lovely. Does she like scallops? Narcoosees has a bay scallop dinner. We love seafood and these were some of the best meals we have had this week.

Besides the other restaurants mentioned above there is also Paddlefish. Ate there for the first time during our last visit and was sorry I’d left it out for so long. Great atmosphere and views, decent service, and seafood that was nicely cooked. No need to go through the craziness of Disney Dining to get an ADR either.

Just noticed grilled fish on Frontera Covina’s menu…..perhaps it can also be found at the the restaurants at the Mexico Pavilion.
I would also check the menu of Chefs de France.

Frontera Cocina is a Rick Bayless operation. Anything on that menu is likely to be first rate. World’s beyond the Mexican food in Epcot.

I know you said salmon is not high on the list but my husband loves the miso salmon at grand Floridian cafe. Narcoosees has the best seafood options as the whole menu is practically seafood. My son loves catfish and was excited to see it served blackened on the family style menu of the crystal palace. (Haven’t tried it yet so can say if it’s good or not yet)
