Hi,
We are visiting WDW in Dec '06/Jan'07. My DH and DS would like to watch a football game and a basketball game whilst we are there. Please could anybody advise me where we could find out information and book tickets on-line. :cheer2:
Any help would be greatfully appreciated.

You might be out of luck for football unless you like a long drive. The nearest teams are in Jacksonville (about 150 miles away) and Miami (about 225 miles away). Go to www.nfl.com and navigate from there to see the schedules of the Jacksonville Jaguars and Miami Dolphins.

Orlando has a basketball team, the Orlando Magic. You can go to www.nba.com to try to find their schedule.

Good luck!

I'm assuming a few things here. You referring to American Football because you're from the UK. I'm pulling for Arsenal in tomorrow's game.

Anyway, they forgot about the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tampa is approx. 1 hour West of Orlando. Go to www.nfl.com and you should be able to link to their site through there. I believe that all NFL tickets can be obtained through www.ticketmaster.com

You could send them an email and ask when tickets will go on sale for individual games for the upcoming season. I believe that it's in the June/July timeframe.

If you're here on Jan 1, there are a few college football bowl games to see. There is the Citrus Bowl, which I think it now called the Capital One Bowl. That is in Orlando. Just be aware that the seats are metal benches. I was there roasting in the sun during the World Cup in 1994. There is also a college bowl game in Tampa. I think that one is called the Outback bowl.

Tickets for both of those games should be found at www.ticketmaster.com

Another suggestion would be to see a hockey game in Tampa. The Tampa Bay Lightning are a good team and hockey is a great game to see live.

I hope this helps. Feel free to PM me if you need more info.
