Looking for ideas....

My sister and I upgraded our cruise with our mom to concierge for her 70th birthday but we have not told her. I thought about doing a type of scavenger hunt to figure out clues but we don't think she would do it. We thought about not telling her until we checkin at the port. My concern with the port is its the NYC port and I do not know how or if they do concierge in a special area, board special or even have a different checkin desk at the port that is

Yes concerge has a different checkin desk with platinum members. Concierge will board first after the family of the day.

Why not just go ahead and give her an early birthday gift with all the details of sailing concierge? That way, she can enjoy everything that goes along with it. For example, checking in at the Concierge Desk, knowing she'll be one of the first to board, etc. That's half the fun!
