We are preparing for our ADR day coming up in November. This will be our first time traveling with a baby (just shy of 10mo old at the time of the trip) and I am looking for feedback on my plan. Everyone in our party has been to Disney multiple times. We will have park hoppers with the regular dining plan and are staying at POR using Disney Transportation. We are pretty easy going in terms of food and would like probably 1 character meal. We try to avoid buffets, but are willing to try if it’s decent.

Sun - Arrival Day - Geyser point (never been) so we don’t have to worry about if the baby is tired or cranky and dealing with an ADR. Yes I know it is quick service

Mon- Epcot day- trattoria al forno (never been - we have all been to Sicily so if it’s not worth it, tell me!) or Garden Grill

Tues- Hollywood studios morning / Magic kingdom night - the wave (never been)

Wed- animal kingdom - we definitely want to sign up for the wine tasting at akl, then deciding between date night at Sanaa or Tusker house for the baby (never been to either) or Yak and Yeti

Thurs - magic kingdom - kona

Friday - Epcot - homecomin (never been)

Sat - departure day (flight at 9pm) - kona breakfast

Am I missing something obvious? Suggestions on the ones I can’t decide on? Favorite meals at any of these places (pics welcome!) Please do not suggest chef Mickey as we are just not interested in going there based on the food quality. The only place left off of our list that we aren’t sure how to fit in would be sci fi.

Since you’re staying at POR, why not take the boat to DS and have dinner there? There’s plenty of options and it’s easier to get there than to get to the WL. If you’re craving burgers, they have D-Luxe Burgers. Or you could eat at The Earl of Sandwich, The Polite Pig, or WPE. Those are all QS options.

Tues- Hollywood studios morning / Magic kingdom night - the wave (never been)

I’d stay at the MK and eat at either Tony’s or The Plaza. You’re only going to be there for a half day, why leave?

Thurs - magic kingdom - kona
.

Again, see above, or think about maybe The Wave this night if you really want to try it.

Friday - Epcot - homecomin (never been)

We love Homecomin’. We just went this past week for our third time and we actually met Art Smith there walking around. Super nice guy.

On your departure morning, why not do a fun breakfast like ‘Ohana with Lilo and Stitch. It’s one of my favorites and a fun way to end the trip.

Edited-please excuse any typos since I am trying to quote and type this from my phone.

We are still planning to go to magic kingdom for a little bit so we would already be near there. But, we are keeping our options open with the baby so def will consider these as well. I’ve heard good things about geyser point and thought it’d be a nice place to have a relaxing dinner and drink (also to check out the resort) :)

We do afternoon breaks so this is how we usually transition to our next park. Also, we just personally are not that into any of the dining options at magic kingdom. We prefer to leave and come back as we also find it a nice little break for us.

Thanks for the feedback!

Sun - Staying at POR I would take advantage of the boat to DS and eat somewhere there. There are some really great QS options like Wolfgang Puck Express and Polite Pig. Or do Homecomin this day instead of leaving Epcot on Friday.
Mon - I would choose Garden Grill over Trattoria. GG is my favorite character meal and it's served family style rather than buffet.
Tues - haven't been to the Wave so can't comment
Wed - If you do GG on Mon, I would do Y&Y or Sanaa instead of TH (if you only want one character meal)
Thurs - never been to Kona, but personally I wouldn't leave MK just to eat (especially if you are going there on departure day)
Fri - Why leave Epcot to eat at DS? Epcot has tons of great choices, I would eat somewhere in WS

We personally are not fans of the food at MK so we would rather take the quick monorail ride for something we enjoy. For us it serves as a nice break! Plus, kona is my husbands only request for dinner so it’s kind of non negotiable for him haha

I'm with the PP's who suggest you go to DS on arrival day and not all the way to WL from POR using WDW transportation. WL is beautiful and Geyser Point is good, but that's a bus and a boat transfer both ways, with a 10-month old. Not fun, IMHO. I would suggest picking an alternate DS restaurant if you decide trekking all the way to WL isn't worth it.

Trattoria al Forno is fine. It's not Sicily! The food at Garden Grill is worse, though. You may want to consider another EP restaurant altogether. We really like Spice Road Table.

If you are going to be at AKL anyway for the wine tasting, I would go to Sanaa for dinner. Of the three restaurants you list for that day, Sanaa is definitely the best. If you'd rather eat in the park, go with Y&Y. We like TH, but buffets with a baby are not fun, IMHO.

Agree with the others that getting to Geyser Point may be difficult without a car though I can't blame you for wanting to start vacation at the beautiful Wilderness Lodge. As others have suggested Disney Springs may be a better option. Jocks Lindseys may be an option if you just want drinks and something to eat. You could also book via Open Table vice Disney and not have to worry about the cancellation fee. Believe Raglan Road, Boathouse, and Morimoto all book through here.

Mon- Epcot day- trattoria al forno (never been - we have all been to Sicily so if it’s not worth it, tell me!) or Garden Grill
I haven't been to Italy but I'm Italian and am pretty confident there is better food being served from my kitchen than trattoria. We do however love Via Napoli pizza if that interest you. I dream about their cariofi pizza.

If you want to do Garden Grill I'd suggest a late breakfast ADR rather than lunch as it is the better (and cheaper) food option. Otherwise Beaches and Cream is fun for burgers and ice cream and a short walk away and we also like Rose and Crown and Tokyo Dining in the showcase.

Wed- animal kingdom - we definitely want to sign up for the wine tasting at akl, then deciding between date night at Sanaa or Tusker house for the baby (never been to either) or Yak and Yeti
If its a date night than Sanaa all the way. The bread service is probably the best thing in the world. But Tusker and Yak n Yeti are both great too.

Thurs - magic kingdom - kona
I know you said your hubby requested Kona but I'm not sure I'd go twice. We love their breakfast but were less than impressed with dinner. Tokyo Dining is much preferred by us. Perhaps this would be a good night to do Geyser Point?

Friday - Epcot - homecomin (never been)
Awesome choice! Be sure to get the chicken thigh biscuits. They are a thing of wonder!

Sat - departure day (flight at 9pm) - kona breakfast
We love the macadamia nut pancakes and the Seven Seas Samoan.

I woudl not go to WL for a CS meal on my arrival day. If you want to explore, go to DS. If you want to relax, try Boatwrights at POR. I bet you could get an ADR the day you arrive if you are up to it.

I like Tratorria. We have always had good food and excellent service.

On your DAK day, Yak and Yeti is good if you wan tto stay in teh park. If you want to leave, Sanaa is awesome. I am not a fan of TH. I think the food is so-so, the service is hectic, and that place is chaotic.

We like Kona.

WE also like Homecomin. The reviews lately are all over teh place, but my meal was good the time I went.

The only problem with Jock Lindsay’s in that it’s not counter service so I would have to get rid of another table service somewhere else or pay out of pocket.

My husband and I have done Via Napoli and we do indeed love it, but, my in laws have a pizza oven at home so we were hoping to try something different in terms of Italian cuisine.

Basically if we go to Sanaa the baby will stay with my parents. If we don’t, no more date night (but we are okay with it either way). We haven’t been to Sanaa or tusker house ever but did go to yak and yeti on our last trip.

The pancakes are exactly why I want to go! They are delicious.

Thank you for the feedback on trattoria and tusker House! I’ve read a lot of great things on trattoria but I’m not getting great feedback now. And tusker House, I definitely want to avoid chaotic!

I did not care for TH at all, and I am fine with Chef Mickey, so take my feedback with a grain of salt LOL!

It has been two years since I had dinner at Tratorria, however my DD was there last july and was still happy with the meal.

Haha trust me I don’t take much feedback TOO seriously. I always appreciate it and do my research. That’s the great thing about Disney. What I hate someone else loves but we both end up happy at 5he end of the day!
