HI girls! Hope you had a wonderful day!

Welcome back Lorrie! Can't wait to hear all the details. Maybe now Carlos will listen to us!:rotfl2:

Cammie, sounds like a nice time with your girls!:lovestruc

I got up early and made coffee, then got to cleaning. The kids went to church and lunch and Lindsay's moms, so I steamed the furniture and living room carpet, cleaned their bathroom floor, cleaned my bedroom, washed and steamed the bedding, steamed my mattress. I finally finished unpacking from our Vegas trip:goodvibes I put away all my Winter sweaters and got my Summer clothes organized.

Then I went to see MIL for awhile, made a delivery and picked up Chinese for dinner. I called my Dad, (mom is out of town until tomorrow) and poured a glass of wine - here I am! I'm downloading a training from a make-up artist I need to listen to. Busy week coming up.

How am I going to make it until Saturday????

I have not yet packed for myself-way too preoccupied with packing for the kids. Gah!!

Anyone flown JetBlue? We are, for the first time.

Need coffee. Must have coffee.

Good morning everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day. I did! My girls were wonderful and made me proud!:goodvibes

Tammie - it sounds like you did way too much work yesterday! I hope you got a chance to relax at least.

Lorrie - Welcome home and can't wait to see your pix. So sorry the kids are now sick. It's bad enough dealing with post-Disney depression but puking kids too? UGH!

Lydia - I flew JetBlue for the first time this past February. They were wonderful! What airport are you flying out of? I'm flying down to Orlando on Sat. myself - out of Logan; due to arrive in Orlando around 2:30. Where are you staying?

And yeah - your packing dilemna sounds alot like me. I spend a week in advance putting the girls stuff together; then my suitcase usually gets packed the night before!:headache: That's why my kids always look better than I do!

I'm about to pour my second cup of coffee; will attempt to finally update my TR; then off to the gym!

Good morning gals!

Had a nice Mothers day yesterday - Jeff got me a pull cart for my golf bag. We can walk a 6 hole loop if we get on the course right behind our house. It took us about 2 hrs to do it last night with Ally - great exercise in the evenings! So we're gonna try to do that 2 or 3 nights a week.

Oh, and Jeff came up with the Grill Diet. All meat must be grilled and can only be marinated in healthy stuff - no high cal, high fat marinades, no creamy sauces, etc. Add some veggies or a salad, and some grilled taters, and we're eating pretty well. Also, he'll grill an extra couple of chicken breasts each week for grilled chicken salads.

We both need to drop about 20 lbs. So with the golf exercise, eating better, etc. Oh, and no alcohol except on the weekends..... :scared1:

I meet with our trainer at the club today - I want him to work with me on building the muscles I use for golf - basically core exercises and upper back. I won that free week of personal training. He's also the swim team coach so I was able to talk to him at tryouts on Saturday and schedule it.

Now we're debating pulling Ally out of gymnastics for the summer. She's got swim team three days a week, AND a 4 week golf clinic, 3 hrs a day. so I'm thinking that gymnastics will just be too much, even though it's only one hour a week. I don't want her to burn out.

Lorrie - glad Nicolas doesn't have the flu. Hopefully the kids will feel better soon. I felt so bad for you last week - it was sooooo hot! It didn't seem to be too humid, but that sun beating down, with temps in the 90's, it's miserable. Like I said, it was higher than normal temps - ya just never know I guess.

Cammie - 5 days!!!! I will call you tomorrow night while Ally is at gymnastics!

I tell you gals what, if I had known it would have been THAT hot, I seriously would have dropped the trip like a hot potato. It was miserable. It was mid 90's but just felt so much hotter. By 11 am Mia was yelling HOT HOT HOT! and wanted to go back to the room, so we did the parks from 9-12. Then the boys would go to the pool while Mia napped and they would stay until 5 and the sun sucked the life out of them so they just wanted to eat and stay at the room. Only one night did we venture back out and that is just because I fussed so much. :rolleyes1 We made our EPCOT San Angels ressie. We missed all the others.

Watch - it will snow in NOV! :rotfl2: I have such luck.

Cammie - will you be there Nov 14-16? My vote off of skimming was this - you are her mom. It was mothers day. I have two different views. I have a step father who will seriously do more for me than my parents, and a step mother... well, let's just say she could always find a job in Fantasmic. :rolleyes1

It isn't right knowing her level of involvement to give the same gift for you both. I mean, come on now. :confused3 My vote would be to either skip giving it to her, or just giving her the post it note only. :rolleyes1

I'm so sorry you had to deal with that. men are such dumb butts when it comes to that sort of stuff. :headache:

For instance, yesterday - did I get a card? Noooooo. The kids gave me a hug and I was so fine with that from them, but Carlos :snooty:He's always like that. Fathers Day he gets all kinds of stuff to make him feel special. I finally brought that up yesterday.

Anyway, I'm so so so sorry you had to go through that!

PS - 66 degrees here today, 70 yesterday. :cloud9: Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

okay--kara where are you going to take 20 lbs from. you look great. ally will be a busy bee this summer. That is great she made the swim team.

Ahhh to have the girls cook for me, someday. I'm glad that they were great Cammie. Don't worry about the gift. What a flakey teacher.

Tammie- sounds like you were busy on mom's day. i bet it feels great. and yes i was using that silly ipod. I have fat fingers.

Lydia- wow 5 days. that is soooo close. I had us all packed 2 weeks in advance. lol! I repacked several times. you will have a great time.

Hi Jillian- sounds like work is good?

Hi Jen

Debbie- where are you....you must be make lots of progress on the house.

Lorrie! Yikes! Sorry about the dining plan. I'm guessing it is a take it easy day? that is a bummer about Mia getting ill. glad that you booked the bounce back. you will have a great time9i'm hoping)

I need to get moving. the carpet cleaners are coming at 9 to clean the couches. I'm hoping to have them cream again. well at least not purple.

okay--kara where are you going to take 20 lbs from. you look great. .

Well, after meeting her, I decided I almost wanted to pop her in the nose for all this weight loss talk! :rotfl2: She seriously is so small to be talking diet. :confused3

However, after foodfest 2009, I'm seriously ready for a diet. I'm just tired of eating. :lmao:

Okay, Kara, my kids were being so not themselves that night. Nicolas will generally talk you ear off, but all he wanted to do was watch TV. He was mad that we didn't go to the pool before dinner and all he wanted to do was get back to the pool.

Mia on the other hand was pretty typical, just tired.

Carlos was in need of beer. :rotfl2:

Our Bounceback details...

We got 30% off resorts or 40% off villas - selected 2009 dates. Well, one was to where we'd get one night under the offer during my birthday weekend, so we went for it. Turns out they honored it for both nights. I got BC, std view, 2 day base ticket & REGULAR dining plan for $1024. We have airline credit for the plane tickets - so that should be it. :confused3 I thought it was a decent deal.

Anywho...

We really had a lot of things we wanted to do minus the kids. Carlos was really wanting to explore DHS, and I want to wander EPCOT. :dance3:

I seriously think I will do a trip report, so there is the teaser, you can join me there ;)

But seriously, with the base tix, I get to do one dinner inside EPCOT probably - so Tuttos or Le Cellier? Votes? :confused3

Lorrie - no, I'm not there in Nov. this year; we're going the first week of December. That sounds like a great deal though and I think it's good to have an adult's only trip. My vote for Epcot dinner - LeCellier. Tutto's was good; but I REALLY enjoy LeCellier! Plus I think it's more intimate.

It's funny some of you are encouraging me not to give the gift to the new wife. Lauren was outraged by this also and REALLY doesn't want me to give it to her either. I don't know if I could do that though - the guilt would get the best of me. (I know, I'm an idiot!) My friend whose son goes to school wiith Amanda is PISSED also about this. Mother's Day can be bittersweet for moms of special-needs kids and most teachers at the school really do try their best to acknowledge all that we do. She thinks the teacher was way out-of-line here but I'm not going to say anything. It's over and done with.

couches were just "cleaned". I hate those @##*********%&*((*%^$$# things. yes I am not too happy. The guys spent over 1.5 hours working on them. They just won't clean up. I want new ones but the windows are sooo much more a priority right now. Don't even ask where my trip is on the list :lmao:

Lorrie sounds like that bounceback is a great deal. Probably best to go with regular dinning.

I.....am......so......freakin......SORE!!!!

Just used my first free personal training day. OMG! He worked my tail off! A lot of lunges and back exercises. I'm gonna be hurting later I'm sure. Wait, I'm ALREADY hurting!!! And he said he was taking it easy on me today since this was my first time!

Lorrie - I thought your kids were sweet! Mia was very bubbly and Nicolas talked way more than most boys his age. And I'm sure Carlos was like Jeff - eye rolling at the whole DISmeet thing.

Plus, Jeff had to go cater to BSIL..... he was so ticked at her! You missed the part about them dumping the baby on us while they went off and rode stuff at MK. NOT a good situation. She KNEW he was mad too!

Then, he called her and asked if they wanted to stay with us Saturday night - she said NO, they wanted to stay at WDW til 4:00 and then drive 10 hrs home. They wanted to be home to relax on Sunday. And we know them, if they got in around 2am, they slept until noon on Sunday. They should have come to our place and relaxed, then left at 5 or 6am on Sunday and gotten home mid-afternoon. But it's only about them.....

So, did you guys like Boma? Did you get a look at BSIL??? We sat up in the lounge overlooking Boma - you probably heard their kids. WILD!!!!

Laura I hate that about the couches. We've got the same issue with off white leather (well, pseudo leather - cheap furniture!) that we got last summer. The dog has ripped it and it's filthy. It cleans up well, but not much to do about the tears. Which is why I didn't want leather.....:rolleyes1

Have you looked into the slipcovers? They really do look good nowadays. JCP and Bed Bath and Beyond have a good selection. JCP has 50% off sales all the time.

Happy mothers day to the best moms ever !!!

Thank you! I hope all who get texts got my text and for those of you who didn't I hope your dayswere wonderful!!!!

HELLO!

We're back. Got in late last night. Mia puked - and puked some more on the plane. She had a stomach bug hit Thurs. Nicolas is sick with what I'm hoping ISN'T the swine flu, but he has awfully flu like symptoms. I have an appt in 30 min - so we will find out soon.

Just wanted to wish all my buddies a very happy Mother's Day! I've missed you!!!!:flower3:

And can someone fill me in on what I've missed? :confused3

Glad your back! I seriously haven't been on too much but I do have to say I am SO SORRY the kids are sick! There is NOTHING worse! I am glad you had fun aside from the weather and such.
I can not believe you blew off all those ADRs!!!! Some of them are more about the "experience" then the food. I am an ADR Nazi though....I mean nut....! You were on the dining plan weren't you? Did you just not use them? I am sure there is more to this right?
a super happy mother's day to all of you!!!!!

Thank you! Right back at ya!

Well, after meeting her, I decided I almost wanted to pop her in the nose for all this weight loss talk! :rotfl2: She seriously is so small to be talking diet. :confused3

However, after foodfest 2009, I'm seriously ready for a diet. I'm just tired of eating. :lmao:

I AGREE! That girl is CRAZY! What are you talking about Kara!!!!!!

I will hopefully be back later! Monday is my crazy day!

Happy Monday Girls!!!! Things are crazy here.

Step dad was in the ER then admitted for observation it looks like there was a bit of damage to his heart, but they think it is old. So they are thinking maybe a small heart attack some time in the past. We are going to keep a close eye on him for a while. He is closing in on 270 so he needs to drop at least 60 lbs. I stole Kara's idea and we are going to do a family biggest loser contest.

As for Mother's day Mike is not big into those holidays you know the ones that don't envolve him. I went and got a mani and pedi and we bought a new laptop. Luca also signed the card for the very first time. :cloud9:

I am glad to hear everyone at least had a super day.
Thanks to you girls I am changing my dates around so I miss Columbus day we will be arriving on the 2nd of October and coming home on the 10th! We are driving so this will be interesting.

Well have an awsome day and text me if your bored because I am :thumbsup2

Oh, forgot to mention (and this could change anytime again!) but it looks like we're staying in FL!!!! Jeff thinks his boss reported back to the prez just how much of a hit they would have to take on our house and they chickened out - can't say as I blame them..... So I'm happy. I guess. Really, I think I would have been okay either way.

But get this. Jeff wants to go on a DCL cruise!!! Just the 3 or 4 day - and he said "he" would pay for the same price as Carnival if "I" would pay the difference by selling stuff on craigslist. AND I have to come up with the onboard money. Again, craigslist. I told him he'd better guard anything that is near and dear to him, so he put his golf clubs in the trunk of his car!!! :rotfl2:

I'll believe this when I see it. But he's seriously talking about 4 days on DCL and 3 days in WDW in the fall. I told him I need to book it now before he changes his mind. With WDW he's kinda like "outta sight outta mind" so while it's still fresh in his mind, he's getting antsy to go back. Plus, I think the thought of moving away from WDW really got to him more than he's willing to admit.....

Shuttle lift off in about 10 minutes. gotta go check my view!

Nicolas talked way more than most boys his age. well, he talked none. Seriously, that kid will talk your ear off. You'll know his whole life story in two minutes. :lmao:

And I'm sure Carlos was like Jeff - eye rolling at the whole DISmeet thing.
Oh YES he was!

So, did you guys like Boma? Did you get a look at BSIL???

I thought I did at BOMA in the wait, but she actually spoke, was nice etc, so I decided that was definately not BSIL! :rotfl2: I kinda covered the Boma thing in my TR - but I was let down. I seriously expected more I guess. :confused3 We sat up in the lounge overlooking Boma - you probably heard their kids. WILD!!!!

Step dad was in the ER then admitted for observation it looks like there was a bit of damage to his heart, but they think it is old. :thumbsup2
Glad to hear he is okay. Scary still! Good for you on the laptop. I need one despirately!

Oh, forgot to mention (and this could change anytime again!) but it looks like we're staying in FL!!!! !
Well, the good thing is that it was positive either way, you know? As for Jeff wanting to do the cruise... GO FOR IT!

Did I mention I had $200 off our trip from our rewards to use? I'm hoping to have the same in Nov. I just hooked all our monthly bills in that I could and put everythign on it and paid it off monthly. LOVED THAT!

That is an emotional rollercoaster to be on. Yuck!

I'll go check my view too. :rotfl: like I'll see it :). Enjoy

Didn't see the shuttle today. Our backyard is so heavily wooded, and I think the shuttle may have lifted off over the ocean. We're probably about 100-150 miles NNE from Port Canaveral. And even though it's pretty clear today, the only clouds are right in my line between here and there. Oh, well.......

Also, Ally is grounded this week. I went up to her room and bathroom last night after she was asleep. OMG! She is a PIG! I just don't get it! I mean, her tissue box was on the floor in the bathroom. Seriously, what is up with that? She has shampoo bottles on the bathroom floor, not to mention a week's worth of clothes!!!! I was furious and almost woke her up to clean at midnight!

Still sore. I asked him to help me build strength for golf. So we worked on my lower back and abs, plus about a bazillion lunges. He's good though - really explained to me why we were doing what. Explained that all the machines only target one large muscle, so we used free weights, and basic lunges, medicine ball, etc. Oy vey!!! And he "took it easy" on me today! :scared1:

Sorry Jillian! I hope he feels better soon and recovers well.

As for Mother's Day...it's pretty much about our Mom's still. It DOES make me happy to be with my Mom all afternoon on Mother's day and I did get Disney dollars from the kids but other that that a little extra attentiveness would have been nice. Didn't happen.

Weren't you guys impressed I wasn't whining here about how I hate splitting my time up on a holiday??? Well, I tried to just go with the flow this holiday and not stress. It did work except that Mark's side did decide to get together later than I would have liked and then the restaurant made us wait over and hour and then we were in traffic for an hour! So I did stress during all that. Came back to earth when we were back home. Not mad at anyone...just mad at the situation. Oh I take that back...I was mad at my kids ALL day! I feel like I have completely lost control of them. Elizabeth lost all "teen" show privileges until she stops mouthing off to me and her father. Matthew....I don't know...I will have to work on it.
