Good morning all! Girls are with their dad for the rest of the weekend and Lauren is still feeling miserable. HOpefully she'll get the rest she needs over there with him. He was disappointed when he picked them up last night; said they had plans to go to Six Flags today with his brother and he's asking Lauren if she thinks she'll feel better tomorrow. How is she supposed to know that? She just told him she thinks she'd be better not going. Once again, the child is smarter than the dad!

Kara - how's your strike going? I say - power onward sister! I seriously believe the only way you will get appreciated is if you completely stop doing what you do for everyone. Will give that hubby of yours a whole new perspective. Sorry about the phone issues. Unfortunately, once those wireless companies get you to sign a contract, they have you where they want you. Ticks me off. I would love to upgrade our phones but am being told I would have to pay full price if I do it before our plan ends - which isn't until the end of the year. I've told Verizon I'm even willing to re-up my contract with them early but am being told I still can't do it. Have to wait until the current contract is up; then get the good deal on the phone and resign. UGH!

And you and I will need to talk before our trip about our attire. I usuallly pull out my Disney character tshirts when down in Disney but if you'll be looking all fancy-schmancy, I want to try and keep up!

Erin - glad to hear Chloe is feeling a little better about things. I can't believe a child was allowed to read a story like that to a classroom.

Update on meeting the Jonas Brothers: my FaceBook friend sent me a message saying he spoke to the security guy's wife and she doesn't think it will be a problem AT ALL. His friend is still away working for the boys but will be back in town this weekend and my friend is having dinner with him on Sat. So I should know something hopefully. Keep your fingers crossed.

Ok, so it's going to be in the 80s around here this weekend. I may try to sit out in the sun and get a tan on my fat, white legs in preparation for Florida. I hate getting to WDW and exposing my glowing white skin. I know it's not good for you, but I just feel better about myself when I'm tan!

Good morning everyone. I'm making progress on the packing. At leat last night I tried on all my outfits to make sure they fit and to try to find one that if I stand next to Kara the stick, I don't feel like the good year blimp. Carlos is BRUTALY honest, so lots of my outfits got nixed. Oh well.

Cammie - yay for you about the Jonas Brothers! You must be jumping out of your skin with excitement! I'm so excited for you guys!

Laura - that is funny - we had the same thing happen. We have a balance we bounce around on offers for a low APR - well one of them called us on it and closed the line down. After Carlos called, they reinstated it, but we were beyond livid that day!

Kara - I tried you plan last night - guess what? Now I just have more stuff to do today. That man of mine can step over anything and not care.

I'm off to the mall today. Need to get a couple of shirts and spend my coupon for the Disney Store. Hopefully I can find some larger T-shirts that will be a bit more flattering. I stepped on the scale and still 12 lbs heavier than beginning the meds. Oh well. I figured I would worry about it after Disney, I'd just rather go and enjoy myself and have something fun to associate the weight gain with!

OK, so I'm going into battle with AT&T today! After I talked to the guy on the phone yesterday for 1/2 hr and he told me about an iphone promotion and I did NOT have to wait until July for my upgrade, but I had to go to the store to get the phone. Did that and after 40 minutes, and having Jeff call to add me as an authorized user on the account, etc, I'm told I have to wait until July unless I want to pay $400 for the phone! Uh, NOOOO! I was FURIOUS!!! Then, I meet Jeff at the clubhouse for dinner and I'm talking to a gal there who just switched from Verizon and AT&T gave her an iphone for FREE! That is so wrong! The established customers always get screwed! And I wasted about an hour and a half yesterday dealing with this. Their answer? Sorry, we can't do anything about it. This after I've gone through FOUR cell phones in the past year, all under warranty. You'd think they'd make a tiny concession as an act of good customer service. So today I'm calling and pulling out the claws. I've tried being nice. Didn't work.

As for Jeff, I hear from a lot of my SAH friends who work from the home that their husbands don't get it. They feel like they are a SAHM, when actually they are just working out of the home. It is tough. Anything I could say, you already know. I just feel for you, I really do.

On the phone thing - we have Direct TV and have for 7 years now, well they sent us a "happy anniversary card" for our time with them and 3 months free Showtime But honestly, that is the first time I've ever been rewarded for being loyal. We have Verizon, and my mom switches back and forth. She always gets better deals - it is sad they act that way. Good luck on getting anywhere with them!

Hi Ladies! Would it be OK to ask a question of you 'in-the-know' chicks? In true control freak fashion, I have started working details for our 9/26-10/3 CBR stay w/ Dining-palooza. My obsessive thought today is about strollers. I have gotten an opening on a double Maclaren Techno 'stroller swap' (will have a 4 y/o and 2 y/o at time of trip) and wonder if any of you have ever participated in one? We are driving down but we are like the Clampetts when we hit the road and any space liberated in our Mazda CX-7 is truly a good thing. Anyone have any thoughts/advice on doing a stroller swap.About my housekeeping abilities....please refer to above reference to the munchkins, currently aged 3 1/2 and 21 months. Just please don't notice the PB&J remnants smeared on the coffee table, yesterday's dishes in the sink, and waist high (and I am 6'2") mountain of laundry. Wish I could turn the control tendencies to the houseful duties. It's just not as interesting as trip planning! And I also loose it and cry about it...it can be so overwhelming.
At least the 3 1/2 y/o had a nice new Phineas and Ferb t-shirt to wear to pre-school this morning. That makes me Super Mommy in his estimation.

Got the grumps again. Jeff is just getting on my last nerve on a daily basis. Someone gave him some fresh strawberries (FL is the strawberry capital of the US!) and he decided to make smoothies. Well...... first of all they tasted like crap! Second of all, imagine my kitchen! I had gone to take a nice hot bath and relax after dinner. Imagine my surprise when he was plopped on the couch watching TV and surfing the net, while the sink was overflowing!!!! I'm so SICK of this!!! I threw a major hissy fit, mumbling under my breath about how I'd better get used to my "place" in this world. Here to serve others and to hell with relaxing for me. It was ugly. But he seriously does not get it! Then he makes a big deal of anything he does. he might vacuum. Then literally leaves the vacuum in the middle of the family room (or whichever room he does) floor. And he considers that helping me! AARRGGHH!
That's it. I'm on strike. I'm gonna leave all my crap out now. I'm going to behave like he and Ally. If he wants it clean, he can clean up after me for a change. Done. All my dishes today will go in the sink, not the dishwasher. But I'm gonna cook tonight like he does and leave it all for him to clean up. This might actually be fun! Oh, and all my underwear will end up in the bathroom floor, shoes all over the house, fun fun fun!

Summer is here today. It felt like wdw when I got up this morning. Oh how I need to go back.
I had one of my cc canceled on me. I was so mad!!! The had lowered my limit last year by over $10,000 (like I needed that large of limit) then they bumped the rate to 27.99%. Then canceled it yesterday. They want out of the consumer credit business. I'm not sure what costco will do now since Amex was the only card accepted there. Any way just in ***** mood. And the topped is that the belt on the van needs to replaced. I need the lottery money. Oh wait you have to play to win.

They lowered my limit! My limit was only 2,000 and we never use that much (on that card), we pay it off each month and they lowered it! They must be having trouble! I have the Costco AE and use it for Costco, travel, dining and gas because you get 3% back on those items.

And I also want to win the lotto yet don't play...hmmmm.

Cammie...if this body guard thing comes through for you I will be so happy for you guys(and jealous)! Sorry Lauren is sick. I just hate when I feel like everyone is getting sickness after sickness. Fifth disease is going around here now...great!

Lorrie...you can not worry about your weight with WDW! Just watch what you eat before the trip so your energy level is up and you feel good. Hey, I always lose 5 lbs from all the running around and stroller pushing in WDW and I eat whatever I want there!

Trauma at bedtime here .. At school they have something called writers workshop where they all write stories, poems etc etc and share with everyone .. anywho someone had written a story about Jack the ripper .. she was trying to get to sleep and was sobbing and sobbing she couldn't stop thinking about the whole thing .. i have no idea what she found out i didn't want to carry on talking about it will discuss more tomorrow .. Joy!! Poor girlwas soooo upset

OK, first of all - no iphone until July 12. I talked to a level 3 manager and found out that AT&T has an agreement with apple and that's why they can't make any exceptions. but they are sending me a new phone until then. So basically, apple is running at&t these days....

Cammie - I usually just wear shorts and a plain t of some sort. If it's super hot I may wear a cami or sleeveless blouse, but I do not get fancy schmancy by any means!

Although.... I have a new attitude at home. I've been dressing for work again. I used to do this and now with all the cute summer clothes out, I've done a little shopping lately... and like today i'm in a cute blue flouncy skirt with a white cami, and jewelry!!! Still no makeup though, not going that far. It just makes me feel better to dress up again. Plus, I'm hoping Jeff will take me out to dinner!

I'm also getting energized to start cleaning. Ithink I'll get the house cleaned up and then starting Monday, we will have role reversal. Funny, my only job will be Saturdays for at most 1 hour taking care of the yard! He has no idea what to expect. He doesn't even understand that he will now have to help Ally with homework, etc. It's gonna be funny..... I'll keep y'all posted!

Lorrie - I agree to not worry about weight and diet until after WDW - just go and enjoy all the great food at Disney! And eat girl! Cause you'll be walking it off. I can eat like a pig there and not gain an ounce. In fct, last year I lost 1/2 lb in a week!

I've been doing pretty well this week with eating - still need to exercise more. I did a whopping 7 minutes on the elliptical one day and then just got bored! How sad is that! And I did a 4 mile bike ride. That's it. Oh, well, I plan to sweat it off working outside this weekend. I need to weed all the mulch beds and get some annuals planted. Laura, what do deer NOT eat??? That can handle FL summers?

We had a big battle with Dish Network when we moved back in SC - to move our dish, they were going to charge us MORE at our new house, even though new customers got all these breaks. I battled with them and finally just cancelled and went with cable. I guess I showed them,huh?

OK, off to read up on facebook - a lot of drama at my old job - a friend called me last night to tell me about the owners son sleeping with a gal I can't stand (she was hired after I left and does not like me.....) they are both married and he has 3 babies at home. His wife found out, showed up with the owner's daughter (who also works there) and beat the tar out of the other gal. It's all pretty dramatic right now I guess - everyone has been calling and emailing me to fill me in. Just makes me laugh cause "what comes around goes around" and turns out the skank's DH is leaving her and she's probably getting fired too.

OMG! I just about had heart failure! I've got this credit card bill that I have no idea what it is for! So I call Chase - they tell me it is me, I opened it etc. So I ask for a statement to be faxed to me with any purchases on it. I ask if it is linked to a store (i.e. Circuit City where we bought our TV) and she says no. I'm totally freaking out now! I look through old bills and I have no bills with this account number on there. So I ask if the number could have been changed. She says no. Major freak now!!! They transfer to customer service and the first thing the new chick says is, "you know this is from Circuit City, right?" WTH???? I was so pissed! So they don't send a bill for 3 months, then send it with a new account number and I'm just supposed to pay it? Now I have a late fee and finance charges!!! AARRGGHH!!!! And I am anal about paying bills on time so I am so NOT happy with Chase and told them to cancel the account. I will pay this off and be done with them!

I went shopping. My BFF helped me pick out some tops. Here is the funny part, she helped me pick a meeting Kara shirt. Not so much for KARA, but for the pictures she'll wanna post.

But I ended up getting 7 shirts and I love all of them but one, so that is good!

Now I need to redo my "looks" before I pack them away. I got bigger ones, so I think I will be sooooooooooo more comfortable. Not that there is a huge difference, but I just get way too concious if things are too tight around my middle.

I was going to comment on something else, but I forgot what it was. I'm so crazy these days. CRAP! I still have goodie bags to put together!

I was going to tell you all I am not worried. I have a plan. I always feel like a DORK in work out classes, but I have a nearby place where you can do water arobics for $20/month - go 7 days if you want, or whatever - and they'll watch your kids for free! I'm super stoked. With my knee issue, and the water being almost up to my collarbone, I just feel so good with that. So I'm excited.

I'd do it now, but me being the worrier that I am, I'm afraid of what sickness the kids would pick up. I decided I would much rather wait until we get back.

Anyway, second heart attack of the day. I'm on the phone with a customer and I look at the clock 3:06 - Ally's bus comes at 3:00. So I go out front and look toward the bus stop. No Ally. So I call a friend whose daughter gets on/off at the next stop. Nope, the bus hasn't come yet. Whew! So I wait.... and wait.... at 3:15, friend calls me and says WTH? I say I'm calling the school at 3:20 if still no bus. 3:20 comes, no bus, so I call school, they said, "it should have been there by now, it dropped of so and so in your neighborhood about 10 minutes ago. So I wait. and wait. finally, at 3:30 this 120 year old is driving the bus and doesn't have a clue where he's going! He tries to stop in front of our house (NOT the bus stop), then he stops at like every house between ours and the bus stop. No wonder they were so late! New driver + double the age of a senior citizen = should not be driving my child!!!!!

So.... we're taking Ally up to the clubhouse tonight for Kids Nite Out and Jeff and I are going out to dinner and drinks with our old neighbors. Should be fun. Jeff is mad though - he wanted to go golfing..... Oh, well, next time HE can make the plans, huh?

I forgot to tell you all I talked to PF today. She leaves Wed - and works Mon & Tues. Hasn't packed. Hasn't thought about it. Hasnt' made ADRs. Doesn't know which parks on what days. She was talking about how little there was to do at EPCOT for her kid. I think I'll tell her we'll be at EPCOT on Tues.

Busy Posters! I was too tired to post this morning.

Debbie, Mark and Lindz went to Texas 3 wks ago and were given jobs - near San Antonio - couldn't ask for better situation for your kids, especially with teachers being cut left and right here. Great pay and really low housing costs! Lindz got called and offered the job for sure yesterday - teaching 6th grade math at a middle school! Now they tell Mark that they had to interview 2 ladies and the principal like one of them, even though he already told the vice P that they were "going to hire the Oregon couple" Mark would be teaching 6th grade social studies in the same middle school. Brand new 6th grade wing, I guess. So he has a phone interview Monday afternoon. Hopefully it's just a formality. There are no jobs here, and I think they'll be happy there. Just hard to see them move,

Kara - so much for going on strike. I try it sometimes but no one notices. Jim helps out, but if I dare say anything, like "could you clean out the sink when you do dishes?" He'll strike for a couple of months or something. Have fun with Ally tonight. I'm glad she's not missing.

Sorry about your phone stuff. Verizon seems to be like that too, We just signed up with them in Dec. Jim's phone was crap and I asked if I could buy a phone and they wouldn't sell it to me. Instead they opted to send him another one free and this one works. I don't understand how they would not take my money

Cammie, I'm sorry Lauren is not feeling well and had to go away. IKWYM about the white legs - I always feel the same way. I watched the video - pretty up close and personal, so sounds like it might happen!

Laura - those cc companies make me so mad! I had one lower my limit when I had maxed it out, then start charging me for being over the limit, I'm sure that must be illegal, but I felt so helpless at the time. I think we are way better off to just stop using them, and to cancel the ones who treat us badly.

We have Mason's 2nd Bday tomorrow - a week early, because Ryan has to go where Jim is stationed a month there and a month home over the next 6 months. They have a small house and a big yard, so they planned a BBQ for 30-40 people and rented a bounce house - now the weather started turning colder - I hope it warms up a little tomorrow. It was supposed to rain, but now they are predicting sun. I have to get a salad ready and finish my shopping toight.

Londynn keeps trying to escape to the back yard and then she says, "yocked" She's pretty mad we can't go out today

This weather here is INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was AWESOME today and now tomorrow will go from 70's to 50's by evening! Rain....yada yada....it is strange! I so wanted a nice weekend. We are going to Wisconsin. We rearranged everyones plans to go up there tomorrow because they said all week it would be 80 and sunny and now it will be crap! Oh well!

I actually have been annoyed with my weight lately and my eating. My weight is creeping up and all the Easter chocolate is making my skin break out and I feel like yuck. I swear now that when I eat better and keep my weight down my energy level and health is so much better and the crazy thing is 3 lbs really makes a difference with me now. Also, my weight is shifting....it has to be because last summer I was 5lbs heavier and my clothes are tighter now. I have to work out too... I don't work out at all. There is something else fun to look forward to to the brats that are younger than me here!

Lorrie...you are so funny! You were chatty!BTW I FORBID YOU TO PUT YOUR KIDS IN ANY GYM/YMCA/ANY KIND OF BABY SITTING what so ever before this trip!

Tammie...I am glad they all got jobs. It's so funny how when I got out of school there were no teaching jobs as well and they were telling everyone to look into Texas. I of course didn't. I worked for peanuts for years. I live upstairs for Gods sakes I could hardly move out of state! LOL

Hey Debbie, I hear ya. I came back from Vegas 9 lb. heavier than I was before Christmas. I've dropped 3 this week, but I want to lose another 9. I always eat poorly when Jim is gone, so I'm going to try to do better this time. I don't think I'll hit the gym until I'm done babysitting. I've had a membership to 1-2-3 Fit for over a year and only attended for 3 months!

we get fifths over here too - also known as slapped cheek disease - guess what it looks like ....... can affect babes in the womb too if mum isn't immune, so not just a rash..

piggies are still alive!! woohoo - though we did have an urban fox come in the garden when they were in their run - girls had a few tearful what-ifs. Life must be hard for the foxes - this was 5pm in full daylight! I can't remember - do you get foxes over that side the pond??

kids being an absolute PITA right now - bicker, bicker, bicker.... littlest just spilled a whole cup of blackcurrant drink over the floor - blue/green carpet - purple staining juice - woo-blinking-hoo (my alternative swearword!!- along with shhhhhhhugar-lumps)- lots of cleaning to do today! grrrrrrrrrrr, I am feeling the PMT/PMS/whatever.. more on my diet, must be skipping some hormone inducing foods... weigh in on Monday night.....

Sorry everyone seems to have the yucks. The weather is so unpredictable right now. It's 65 today, but there's a freezing cold breeze - feels like 35. We had Mason's birthday party this afternoon. His other grandparents got him the power wheels jeep. He kept sending it backward and then laughing a big belly laugh - so funny cuz he is SO serious! When we were singing Happy Birthday, he was looking around the room at everyone with his little frown (he got that from Ryan) like, "are you ever going to stop singing so I can blow out that candle?"

Oh Tessa, I made a rule a long time ago - no red, purple or orange drinks in my house - only yellow - lemonade, sprite, orange juice is okay, or coke or tea. I just had too many of those bad stains when the kids were small. So I left town for WDW in March, and came back to pink stains in my grey carpet. Someone needs a spanking, but it's probably Mark and Lindsay - how do I do that? I'm just going to get new floor and paint when they move out.

Big News! I bought a washer and dryer today! I found the one I wanted on sale, so I'm getting a cherry red LG set with the steam wash and steam dry! I didn't get the pedestal yet, because it was another almost $500 for that I think I'll get that later - besides, I have to be sure they are not too tall for the cabinets in there. They had to order gas, so I don't get it until May 7th.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend - I need a nap before I get on that church bus.
