I'm trying to plan a last minute some kinda birthday thing for Nicolas for his buddies. I think I'm going to rent out a room and do party games - it seems to be the thing of most interest to him at the moment.

I called Mr. Inconsiderate Butt Face to ask him to come home early so we could go meet with a magician/balloon artist tonight while he is at a place to get pricing, etc. Long story, but he has seen us for years so I thought we might get a better deal than just calling him on the phone. He said he'd leave work at 4:30. It is now almost 5. He hasn't called - nothing. He can just be such a butt. Like I don't need to make plans - you know? What is up with that.

Off topic - anyone else's kids watch the boomerang channel? That banana split show song is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO stuck in my head.

okay poll question....i have one of my college roommates who is expecting in August. We have stayed pretty good friends. a few years where we lost touch, i had kids and was married and she wasn't. Now we all meet for dinner monthly. I just loaned her a bunch of baby stuff. Tim pipes up after she left and said man that was a lot to give her. Now I am having second thoughts. She isn't in a position where she needs the help and I'm not broke that I need to sell the stuff for cash. I just feel odd about loaning it out. At the time I made the offer I was so excited that she was pregnant. Am I bad for having second thoughts about loaning it out? I mean I gave her my breast pump, stroller, pack n' play, all my infant toys etc. I can't say if we are done having kids. I just need to know that I'm not bad for feeling off.

No, Laura you're not bad at all for feeling that way. Does she know it is only a LOAN and that you didn't give it to her? Ya know where this is going.... yah, my BSIL took all our big stuff too and we haven't seen it again. Probably never will......But I'm sure she'll sell it and pocket the cash.

It is pouring today and all last night and supposed to continue all day! Jeff took the day off to go golfing with his dad and uncle but that is definitely out. We need the rain so that is good, but it's not good when I have a housefull of cranky people all cooped up. And Jeff wasted a vacay day.

Today everyone at worked called in sick for APRIL FOOLS DAY! My boss will freak!

Lorrie - Jeff pulls that crap all the time. He works 45 minutes away and I'll ask him to leave at 5 and he'll show up at 6:30. Do the math - he doesn't leave on time. Drives me insane!!! Once in awhile is one thing but all the time?

Did I tell y'all that Ally's elementary school in SC just received the Palmetto's Finest Award - as in BEST school in the STATE!!!!

That is why I've had such a hard time with her school here - it's not that this school is bad, it's just that her old school was so exceptional. I'm so proud of them, principal, teachers, etc.

Good Morning girls i'm having a tough mommy day today.

It started out with Mike not feeding or taking the dog out this morning, but letting her sleep in the kitchen so everyone knows what I woke up to this AM. I had to wash the entire kitchen floor and now Luca is having a cranky day (it's cold and gray here). I gave him and apple for part of his breakfast and his is usually good with it but today he was spitting it out on the floor mind you this is after I just cleaned the Kitchen floor
We have been hanging out upstairs (main living) because I don't want the dog on the carpet so he is having to play with what is upstairs so I feel bad. So tomorrow it is a play day at the local indoor gym it will be raining here again. Moving to Orlando is looking better and better.

I just got a quote from AAA on free dining and I think it is too good to pass up

Laura- I gave Luca's stuff to my cousin who just had a baby girl guess what I will have to buy new stuff if we have another. It is totally ruined. I hope your experience goes better.

Well - he made it home in time for us to go meet the balloon guy - which was pointless. His wife handles EVERYTHING to the point he didn't even know what his going rate was.

The rec room is open and so far Nicolas is so jazzed about inviting everyone for party games - so I guess that is the winner. Easy enough.

Laura - I guess I'm different, we are so done. I gave all mine to DSIL who is like a sis. I sware, she could sell it all, pocket the money and I wouldn't care. Now my other SILs. not so much! I think you are okay to have second thoughts. You sorta have to look at it as giving it away, and if you get something back - then that is gravy. KWIM?

Nicolas is at school today, so I'm plopping Mia down soon and pearing back the toys! I know I'm being evil, but his birthday is coming up soon and there is just so much crap up here. My neighbor is having a yard sale this weekend. I've called DSIL and she needs to place her "order" because the rest of this stuff is going... ebay, craigs list, yard sale .... somewhere!

That is EXACTLY how I would be. It makes me feel so terrible BUT if I knew that they knew it was a loan I would feel much better! I envy you people who sell and give. I so desperately need to though.

Jillian...I think that deal looks great! You just have to click in the same packages without the promos and see how much you are saving..that's what I did and it was over 2,000 bucks! See "a deal is a deal" so you just have to do the math. There is free dining, 40% off, vacation package offers, AAA, buy 4 get 3 free, etc. and I think my Mom and I figured out that they all work out to be about 40% off. The trick is...if you stay at a value resort, free dining becomes more worth it but if you want to stay at a deluxe then free nights works out more for you....Mods fall middle of the road. Am I making sense?


BTW I wiped out at the mall today thanks to wearing Crocs and my daughter cutting me off and I REALLY hurt myself! All my weight went completeley on my shin - right under my knee. I have a HUGE lump there now.

I am going to have a garage sale this weekend and went on CL to get ideas for how to price my items - well - people have WANT ads for the stuff - and are offering almost double what I was going to ask for good condition - and I would classify this stuff as new condition!

We are suppose to have tornado weather tomorrow.

yuck tornados. Our sirens sounded today at 1 pm. I jumped out of my skin. I forgot it was the first wednesday of the month. 33 yrs old and it still makes me want to hide.

The tranny went out in a parking garage. so not only did it have to be towed but they had to use dollys and a wench to get it down from the 7th floor. Love all time 4 wheel drive. Just glad that we have towing insurance. Now the wnty is out on the truck. I am hoping that it is just the linkage and not the whole tranny. Linkage should be uder $500 to fix. yes I know about cars too. I can just see you guys rolling your eyes.

I'm better today with the baby stuff, I know her and she takes great care of her things. I did make it clear that it was a loan. so I am hoping to get some back. Who knows if my sisters will ever have kids.

Kara--did your sis ever get logged on to here and how's your mom's rehab going? And the inlaw invasion???
Debbie- The dog situation has quieted down a lot., how is he doing?
LOrrie---that is good that everyone is excited for the party.

I wasn't rolling my eyes but I DID chuckle when I read this! So sorry about the Vegas trip - I hate when real life gets in the way!!!

My sis still can't get logged in - she has never posted but for some reason it won't let her log in..... And my mom is doing great! I'll see her Sunday - we're leaving on Saturday just Ally and I to drive up. Then we're leaving next Friday morning to drive back so we'll be back for Easter.

I guess my sister is planning for us to go to Cleveland on Thursday to the IX Center - it's an indoor amusement park and Emily Osment is going to be there. So it's not the JBs but Ally will think it's cool to meet someone famous!

Jillian - how is Minnie doing? Just remember, it WILL get easier - eventually she'll get it, just like potty training a child.
Debbie - hope you're not still hurting too bad. Have you read about crocs and escalators? I told Ally and she makes sure she jumps clear everytime so her shoes don't get caught.
Lorrie - seriously, just post on CL - you will make so much more money! And when someone emails you to schedule a time to come buy, just make sure a neighbor is home and you meet the people outside. And make sure to tell them you only take CASH!

Ally loved all her birthday wishes - she was a little down on her actual bday because we decided to celebrate her bday AND Jeff's (his bday is today) last night so we told her she could open my parents' gifts on Tues, but it didn't get her til yesterday. So seeing all her bday greetings made her smile.

And I did the taillight dance about 445am today as they all pulled off and headed down the road. Jeff's aunt and uncle had a 640am flight and the inlaws were dropping them off at the airport and heading on home. AAHHHHH! I have my house back now.....
