oh no not twitter. I am resisting getting pulled over there. Sorry Debbie love you but I spend too much time on this as is.

Today was supposed to be relaxing, brownie smile day in the morning and then church retreat with a sadder (sp?) . It was taxing. Lots of internal reflection. I think I am going to have a hot bath with a glass of wine and crash. Let tim take care of the kids.

THE PARTY WAS A BLAST!!!!! I'm so glad I did it - yes, it was a little over the top for an 8 year old, but I don't regret it for a minute.

First, we went up to the clubhouse for lunch, and I arranged for Ally's BFF from SC to meet us there. They walked in about 5 mnutes after we got there and Ally was FLOORED!!!! It was so wonderful to see these two together! It is the most precious friendship - to think they met in kindergarten, and only really knew each other for about a year before we moved, and they are thick as thieves and still consider each other best friends....

Are they not the cutest thing you've ever seen?????

So we go back to the house after lunch to wait for the other party guests and of course, the OTHER big surprise of the day.......

The LIMO!

When the driver pulled up, he opened the back door and "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" was blaring! It was so fun!!!

Once everyone arrived, they all climbed in and off we went - the music was blaring the whole time to Hannah Montana and the JBs. I think I had as much fun as the girls!

Once we got to Sweet and Sassy, the driver pulled up to the curb and Ally stepped out onto the red carpet where about 5 party coordinators were clapping and cheering for her. So fun!

Then they went inside and picked out their party duds for the day. Then to hair, makeup, and nails.

After that the party coordinators taught them some dance moves to about five songs, starting with "Best of Both Worlds." The music was cranked up in the salon and the girls were up on stage singing and dancing. It was soooo fun!

Then Ally picked her song for karaoke - Fabulous from HSM2. They rehearsed twice to learn lyrics and funky dance moves, then they recorded it to DVD for us. Haven't watched yet......

After that, it was time to change back into their own clothes and do cake and presents.

I think she was so overstimulated yesterday, that she was exhausted by the time we got back to the house. She cried her eyes out when Caroline left - they are on their way to Disney for the week, but spent two nights in Jacksonville on the way just so Caroline could be here for the party.

Today, Ally left early with Jeff's parents to go to Orlando - they are meeting Jeff's aunt and uncle who are in town after a cruise, and all heading to Universal for the day. They are staying the night and Ally's playing hooky tomorrow. Everyone will drive to St Augustine for the day and then get in around 3 or so tomorrow. Then we'll have a full house for the next three nights. So today is a relaxing day for Jeff and I......

In fact, there will be a nap involved today - I'm whipped!

Cammie - hope the sleepover went well! We've missed you!

Lorrie - hope your weekend was great, with lots of rest and grownup time!!!

Laura - so sorry you had a rough day, hope today is better!

Debbie - now you're twittering??? Don't know if I can do it!

love the new pics. They had a great time. Today is not better. We are on our way to the we. Katie is in WI with the in-laws. She has been vomiting all day yesterday and this morning. We are raki g her j. Because she is dehydrated. Actaully. I'm sitting ins coffee shop by the hihway to meet up with them. Beth is with my patents. Tough day ahhead. Yes I'm onthe iPod. Bad spelling abounds......

Cammie love destination imagination. Did it as a kid myself. Can't wait fir beth to be in it.

Kara - I'm a total idiot! I was wondering before I left why in the world you were going to so much trouble for the inlaws cake!

I hope Ally's birthday party was a blast!!! It looks like it was! That limo is so much nicer than I expected too - and the friend meeting her there. That will be a birthday she will always remember!

I've got to go back and read, I just read this page quickly and wanted to say I'm home.

I'm kinda glad we were gone - I was sick the whole time. But you know, sick away from home vs sick at home taking care of 3, um, I mean two kids - was still so nice. I'm feeling some better today too - so I'm sure not being stressed and running family errands was just what I needed. Neither of us were that energetic - we did go to the mall, but only shopped one store before we went back to the room. There was AWFUL weather - trees were just snapped into about an hour south of where we were. They were just broken for about 2 miles - it must have been straight line winds - very scarey to see what all it managed to do!

I'm trying to unpack and I promise I will check in more later - just wanted to say hi!

Yea! Lorrie is posting live! Eat that banana cream pie girl! But when you get back, you need to buckle down! Hey, it's a girls weekend - ENJOY!!!

It was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo goood too! I had it - ate only half and put black pepper on the other half so I wouldn't keep eating until the dude showed up! We had 2 meals that could have been better - that one and her birthday dinner last night at PF Changs - but we split a meal and there was still a lot left!! So we did good.

We worked on a wellness journal and were really honest with each other about stuff - and what we needed to do to change - etc. So that is really good. I think we both came up with we go 100000% out of the gate and burn out - so we don't need to "ban" things, but rather have 1 meal a week that we know we can do whatever to keep us going through the week. There are other areas too - so it was really good!

Tweeting - Again, count me out - not enough time. One of my new things is setting limits on things - including my time - and I don't have time for anything more than checking email and in with you guys. PRIORITIES.

Speaking of priorities - I've gotta get off here. Hope you all are having a great weekend!

Hello Girls

Minnie has arrived and she is beautiful we are so thrilled. She is 5lbs of adorable and I will post pictures tomorrow. Now it is just getting her trained which I am not sure how to do.

Ally's pictures were perfect it looks like she had an amazing time. The cake turned out great!

Lorrie- I am sorry you didn't feel good while you were away,but I agree with you better when you were away then home with 3 kids.

Planning my dining choices again already. I want to have them perfect for free dining.

Jillian - yea Minnie is here! The best way I've found to housebreak a dog is to take her out every hour while she's awake, and immediately after playing, eating, or waking up from a nap. Do that for about the first week, then once she gets the hang of it, move to about every 2 hrs, then once she's going to the door and asking to go out with minimal accidents, they say to take the pup out every X hrs corresponding to how many months they are old. A two month old pup, every 2 hrs, 3 month old, every 3 hrs, etc. We had Bucky going to the door by day 3 when I did this. Yes, he still had "accidents" but at least he knew what he was supposed to do by then. Also, are you crate training her? My vet told us to put the pup in the crate for an hour a day several times a day to get used to the crate. Then take her out immediately when you let her out of the crate.

The only big problem we had with Bucky was that he could not hold himself all night long until he was about 4-6 months old. He could only go about 6 hrs before he'd wake us up.

Kara- Yes we are crate training and last night was It was worse than bringing a newborn baby home. I am exhausted needless to say Mike had to work a backwards 24 and wont be home until tonight so it was me all alone. I have been taking her out every hour after she eats etc.... She has only pee'd outside twice I am sure it will take some time.

By the end he was waving goodbye and sad he had to leave. Kids are so funny!

Excuse my floors I hate them they were stained like that when we bought the house and we are going to replace them this summer with real tile.

Jillian - Minnie is so cute!!! Little fuzz ball! It'll get easier. They really are like newborns at this point.

And I think your floors look good! If you do ceramic tile, make sure you get a textured finish. Mine are perfectly smooth and I HATE them! Shows every water drop, dust, dog hair, etc.

Love the Badookie pics, too. The pics of kids crying with Santa and the Bunny are too cute.

All is well here. Katie bounced back really quick. I was shocked how much fluids they pumped inthough. She had 800 ml. Now she is back to playing.

I need to get on planning the vegas trip. I'm just not that into it. . I know there is a ton to do but I just can't get my head around it. Hopefully that will be tomorrows project.

Kara the pics were great hope all is well with the inlaws. Glad to hear ally hot to play hooky today.

Jillian minnie is cute! Crate training is a really good thing we did it with our older fog and he still heads to his crate to sleep. The younger dog didn't have that training and man I wish we w

Laura - Okay, I'm lost about the sickness - what happened? Was it Katie? Hospital?

Well - I got the bins in my closet organized and my scrapbook stuff all put away, organized and cleaned. I'm seriously about to get some children's toys outta here too. This is crazy.

I'm seriously thinking of locking my bedroom door. Remember the photos of my upstairs? They do that to my bedroom daily too. They cart their toys in there, wreck my bed - it is just one big fat mess! I'm seriously about to lock the door. make it an adults only club!

Well - only 40 more minutes of peace before I have to pick up Nicolas so I better go tackle said bedroom.

Oh btw! I got my WDW pkg in the mail while I was gone. I got 4 luggage tags and also a 30 minutes of free play in the video games at CSR! There was a lot of stuff in the booklet, I just haven't had time to check it out. It was thicker than our other trip. Again... .

I'm feeling so much better today. I wonder what is up with that - maybe KY has something I'm allergic to I couldn't breathe through my nose while there, but once about 1 hour out of Louisville, I was 90% better.

Get ready for a Kara rant.....

So I let Ally go to Orlando with the inlaws yesterday and spend the night with Jeff's cousin. They all meet up with Jeff's aunt/uncle there and go to Universal, then Ally stays with the cousin and his family who live there. Inlaws stay at condo that aunt/uncle are renting for a couple of night. Then inlaws, Ally, and aunt/uncle drive to St Augustine today so we let Ally play hooky from school. On Saturday night I made it VERY clear that Ally has gymnastics at 6:00 tonight so we need to leave from the house by 5. So MIL just calls at 3:45 to find out when she needs to be back. Again, she already knows this, just playing dumb.....

When I tell her she says, "well, shoot, we're on the tour right now and we've still got another 1/2 hour." It's an hour from St Aug to our house, and they still have to walk to their car. I'm beyond pissed right now!!!!! It's the same all the time, we give an inch and they take a mile!!!!

I texted her and told her in no uncertain terms that they had better be at the gym by 6pm and I'll bring Ally's leotard there. She can't make it up because it's the end of the month and she's already gonna miss next week cause we're out of town for spring break.

All I can say is if they are not there on time, I will lose it. I'm serious, no holds barred this time. I'm so mad my head is spinning - just call my Sybil right now!!!!!

But I must admit, I'd be very pissed also! I'm mega-scheduled and I hate when someone else has such disregard for what I have planned. Keep in mind though - it's out of your control so try to not let it make you completely crazy!

Well, the cat is HALF out of the bag. Lauren knows about my weekend away in May - but I've told her I'm going away with Kara, which she thinks means TO Kara's. Now she's arguing with me about coming along so she can hang out with Ally. You should hear her! Such a ditz though - the thought hasn't even crossed her mind that we will be really heading to WDW!

Well, MIL called me right after I left the house. She wanted directions to the gym - WTH??? I texted them to her but she said she "didn't understand them." Flippin morons! So she told me where they were and I told her to take the next exit. Jeff calls me back 3 minutes later to tell me that they missed the exit.

By this time Jeff is PO'd too! Even HE thinks they are idiots! So I had to meet them in a parking lot to get Ally, MIL, and Jeff's aunt so we could all go to gymnastics. And MIL was telling me how much rush hour traffic there was - and me, I couldn't let it go, so I very sweetly informed her that they wouldn't have hit rush hour if they had been home at 5 like they were supposed to!

Then in the car Ally told me that MIL totally forgot about gymnastics until Ally reminded her! So I asked MIL, "didn't we discuss this Saturday night?" I was so mad!!! Jeff's aunt just sat and chuckled.

Well, at 11:37 am today my baby will be 8! I bought donuts last night and put a candle in one for her for breakfast. I was gonna make cupcakes for her to take to school today but I was so frazzled last night that I just bought some cute cookies at the bakery. Done.

Is anyone else not getting notifications of updates on threads? Even when I hit User CP, still they don't come up, but if I hit Show All Threads, I'm like, wait, that's all new! It's weird.

Ally looks like a little rock star today. She's got bling on her ears, fingers and around her neck. She and Jeff's cousin's daughter bought BFF necklaces at US and they each wear half. Jeff's aunt bought Ally a ring that is carved with her name (and actually sized to fit her tiny finger!), and she got rhinestone A earrings. Plus she's got on a denim mini skirt with leggings under it - she looks adorable today!

She wanted to go out to dinner tonight but I think since Jeff works late tonight we're just gonna grill some burgers at the house and then go to the beach after school tomorrow and to a fun place out there for dinner. Jeff's bday is Thursday so we'll celebrate them both tomorrow.
