I've seen the Schwans man here but never ordered. I remember when I was a kid we had a milkman and he came once a week. It was always right before the school bus came and he would come in and tell my mom about the ice cream specials. It was always a special ocassion when mom would cave in and get ice cream. I feel so old!!!
Tonight we are watching our old neighbors' kids. They sold their house and are renting a place in another part of the neighborhood until school lets out, and then moving to Punta Gorda. Anyway, don't know why I"m rambling about watching their kids, but that's what we're doing tonight. And I'm gonna rearrange some furniture upstairs to prepare for Ally getting our furniture sometime next week I think. I just hope this furniture all gets here before Jeff's parents get here on Friday. Otherwise it will be a nightmare.
Oh, inlaw drama unfolding. So Jeff's parents are coming in on Friday, and Jeff's aunt and uncle are getting here Monday. But they are staying in Orlando over the weekend. so they invited us all down on Sunday. His aunt and uncle are going to visit his cousin (the one with the universal passes) on Sunday and want us to come. So Jeff's parents are going to drive down Sunday, get to his house about 10am, go to universal until 2 (yes, about 3 hrs by the time they park, etc.) and then back to his house for dinner, and leave by 4:30. They wanted us to make this round trip drive with them and Jeff gave them a definite NO. So his mom calls me Tues night while Jeff is at work,
knowing he already told her no trying to convince me to go. I told her we had already talked about it and didn't want to go this time. So she calls Jeff the next night and tries again. Each time saying, "no pressure if you don't want to go...." but just non-stop guilt. "Your dad doesn't know how to get there" and "I know your aunt would love to see Ally at an amusement park" etc. Really playing games.
So then they will drive back here Sunday night (2 1/2 hrs) and then turn around Monday morning and drive an hour south to St Augustine to meet Jeff's aunt and uncle so they can "follow us back to your house." Seriously. Like they are suddenly the human compass even though they can't get to Orlando from here.
It's gonna be a rough week. But I know I'll have some gooooooood stories!

For instance, his mom told me where everyone is sleeping. Oh, really? Yes, really! She said they would "give the guest room to" Jeff's aunt and uncle. How kind....

And they'll take Ally's room. Oh really? I told them they can only have Ally's old room if she's in the new room by then. Just cause I felt like being evil.
His mom said she doesn't care where they sleep as long as there's a TV in there. I said, "oh there will be a TV in there but there's no cable hookup." And it's true!!! She told me "well, you'll need to go buy an antenna or something."
Uh. Don't think so. So we'll have to hear about it, I'm sure....
It's cause his dad goes to bed at 7pm, and then wakes up at 3am and watches TV until 6. If he would go to bed at 10 he'd sleep until 6!!!! But he won't even try to stay up later and get on a normal schedule. It's nuts.
OK, enough rambling for awhile. No, no news yet. Jeff hasn't gotten the call for the appointment yet....
