I am sure it is too late but have an awesome trip Tammie!!!!!!!!!!

Debbie - congrats on getting the airfair done - so are you all booked and ready now? :cool1:

The tix sound good too - the seats look like good ones to me from the map. :goodvibes You, I mean Elizabeth must be so excited. :rotfl2:

Off to do more cleaning. Why can't the house clean itself?

My house looks like I should be on an Oprah show with people who have certain mental illnesses! It is THAT bad!

Yea on the JB tix Debbie! :thumbsup2

Lorrie - sorry about the trip - just keep it in mind for a getaway with your DBF for next time!!!!

So I've got this TV cabinet listed on craiglist - already got 3 people asking about it and one wants to drive out tonight to check it out! Woo hoo! Hopefully another $50 in my pocket! So I just listed Ally's crib/dresser and glider rocker from her nursery. All are in pristine condition so I'm asking $300 for the whole group. ONly thing is I don't have the hardware for the crib, so I would knock off $50 if they ask.

Next up, listing my CAR on craigslist!!!! Jeff thinks I can get about $1000 more if we sell it ourselves vs going through the auction. So I got all the junk out of it last night and tonight I'm going to CLEAN the inside really good. You know, all the little storage compartments that have sticky diet coke in them??? Yeah, this ought to be fun!

Gonnna go showwer now and get ready for the beginning of March Madness BABYYYYY!

See... when I think of Craigs list I never know what to charge for my stuff!

As for the car I agree! You will get more that way for sure!

Baby wipes - seriously, don't ask me why but they clean that stuff like a charm! :thumbsup2

OMG! I've already got someone wants to come get the crib set! AND I found the hardware! Debbie, if you want to make money, you have GOT to start selling on craigslist!

Okay Kara - you've got me thinking about Craigs list now! WOW! I was going to have a yardsale to get rid of a train table, full Thomas wooden railway set with multiple trains, a toddler bed (like new), a very gently used 35 mm Professional SLR with lenses, used high chair, practically new Radio Flyer wagon (the one with air wheels)... Think I'd do better with that stuff on craigs list?

Hummmmm.... I'm begining to wonder. Kara - what all is involved with listing? Are their fees?

and also... anyone on here ever got the bounceback offer? How do you do that? It would be so nice if I could do it for my May trip next year? When Nicolas and I went we got nothing. I searched high and low in that room. :rotfl2: I read somewhere they only put them in Mods and up? :confused3

Congrats on the airfare Debbie! Prices are soooo cheap right now - you would have been crazy not to be taking a trip. (and I would have told you that had you not booked!;) )

Congrats on the JB tix also. They haven't gone on sale to the public yet - just doing presales for those of us with "connections" - that's why they're still available. Our presale is monday morning - 10am. After seeing the 3D movie, Lauren would love to sit as close as possible so I'm getting my game plan together so I'll be ready once the clock strikes 10. Did you guys get tix for the Hannah Montana concert in '07? Remember how crazy that was? I was so stressed; remember sitting at my kitchen table screaming because I had 4 tix then lost them because I didn't type fast enough! Wound up getting two great seats but man - the pressure! That's what I'm feeling about this concert. Anyway, another thing Debbie - it's a center stage and will be revolving so at some point you will be staring at their backsides.(which isn't such a bad thing!;) ) They put on a fun show though - think you guys will enjoy it!

Ok, now I KNOW I need to do Craig'sList! I have old bikes that are still in really good shape that I would love to get rid of! I'm so lazy! I do have two hefty bags of the girls clothes I plan on selling soon. I usually get around $75-$100 for them - which will go right into my May Disney fund!:)

I'll be back later. Amanda stayed home today because there was no nursing at school for her. It's so rainy and chilly out so I guess it's not all bad that she got to sleep in.

Lorrie - no fees with craigslist. I think big ticket items you'll do better with craigslist. Yard sales are just people who want to haggle and get stuff cheap. And with craigslist I've gotten exactly what I've asked each time. They are coming tonight to get the crib set! SOLD!

The listing is 10X easier than ebay! And they email you through craigslist so you name, number, and email are all hidden. So far, so good!

Cammie - what is up with Amanda's nurses??? Is this a problem the school is having?

Cammie - what is up with Amanda's nurses??? Is this a problem the school is having?

I'm telling ya - when it rains, it pours. She has one nurse that rides the van back and forth to school with her; and one nurse who is her one-on-one during the school day - each nurse is employed by a different place. Van nurse is on vacation until next wednesday; my town found a sub. but didn't communicate the right hours so yesterday's nurse told me at the last minute she couldn't do the afternoon pick-up; I had to do it. The school nurse was out today and the school couldn't find a replacement. So while we had a nurse to ride the van, we had no one to spend the day. As it stands for tomorrow, I'll probably have to drive her in the morning but I think we have coverage for the afternoon.

If I was in charge of this whole thing, I wouldn't be dealing with this craziness. It's so frustrating.

Kara...Can you post pix at Craigs List and do you feel it's more for higher end items?

Hi Cammie and Lorrie!

OK, I have to share something with my girls. Jeff and I have just been presented with an opportunity to adopt a 2 month old baby boy. Long story short, Jeff works with a guy who has been going thru the adoption process of his wife's sister's daughter. The mother is unfit, on drugs, etc. So for 2 years they haven't even named this little girl until just two days ago when the adoption process was final. They have gone through hell trying to keep the drug addict mother from getting this child back, and finally it's done. Well, back in January, Jeff got a call from his salesman again, telling him that the wife's sister just had another child and it was taken from her in the hospital b/c he tested positive for cocaine. So he and his wife went and brought the baby boy home, too. Technically the half brother of the child they already have.

Jeff told him at that time that we had considered adoption but there is no way we could go through 2 years of trials, etc, and the chance that we could lose the child. So just last night Jeff found out that the judge and the social services worker have basically said there is NO WAY the mother will ever get this child back b/c she continues to test positive and she blows off court appts, etc.

The baby is healthy, doesn't show any signs of the drugs at this time, although I know it can take years to show up. So we are going to meet with the social worker and I think begin the process. We can still back out if we decide against it, but I can't help but think this little guys needs us! Here he is a 2 month old child with no parents at this point! Totally innocent, didn't do anything to deserve this. And it almost seems like this is a sign for us. We have talked about it, but never really looked into it, and here this falls into our lap.

And the funny thing is I just sold Ally's crib and baby stuff yesterday!!!! The only thing we have is a stroller! I've gotten rid of EVERYTHING else!!! :rotfl2:

We haven't even told our families yet, I think we'll wait until it's a done deal, IF we go forward with this. But I just had to tell my buds!!!!

WOW!!!! That is an amazing story. I just threw out the "extra" crib mattress we have had for 7 years. I can't bring myself to part with the stuff yet. Ya never know when things like this can happen. We are excited for you. I hope all goes the way that you want it to. How attached are the aunt and uncle to the new baby boy? I am perpetually amazed at people that can continue to have kids when they know darn well that they can't take care of them. I know that you and Jeff would do great at this. Now the background check--how are going to hide us crazy internet friends. :lmao:

I agree the board is a great place to put that out there because you don't want to tell family unless it really is going to happen.

Just think you can share baby clothes with BSIL. :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Cammie - I got a little sumpin sumpin from Disney yesterday - our welcome to ASMu for our trip in May! :cool1: What is it about a return address from Disney that gets me so excited???

OMG Kara - I just got so teary reading your post!

That is so wonderful! When do you think you'll decide? I can understand your concerns with the whole adoption process, but there comes a point where, if this is something you really want - you put your fears aside, have faith in the system and move forward. There are no guarantees on anything we do in life.

This is just such exciting news!

Lorrie-- just hopped on the scale and I too am 12 lbs heavier than I was a bit ago. I had skiped out ont the nutri-system stuff. So back to WW for me.

I know that there are villas you can rent (without being a DVC) that have one or more bed rooms. How many people can you fit in a 2 bedroom? My mind is spinning. I think I may ask my parents if they want to go with us when we go back in 2 years. I know that we will only do it with the girls if we have seperate bedrooms, so this means we have to stay at a resort that has that or dare I say it---off property--gasp! Just starting to think about it.

Kara, seriously, sometimes that is just how things work out. Now... I have a barely been used stroller I could bring to you on our trip. Graco metrolite in blue - my favorite color of course. Used it twice - so... :rolleyes1

GIRL, you would do this 4 months after I got rid of all the boy clothes! :rotfl:

I don't know about FL, but my Uncle who is 70, has had 3 bypasses and has custody of his great granddaughter - no job, wife works as a cook at a school were able to get approved for adoption - after they called my mom and she told the state they were in it for the money! :scared1: So, all that said to say you and Jeff will probably blaze through that part. The hard part is going to be feeling Ally out without telling her and getting hopes up. Sounds like there probably won't be all the trial issue stuff. I don't know what you guys think about adding to your family - but it does seem rather odd all this just fell into your lap - doesn't it? :confused3 I personally think it is pretty exciting.

Well, I'm thinking this is just pretty darn cool, myself. And a little funny you just sold your crib yesterday! :rotfl: I sware that is the way things work for me too!

If you want, I can totally see what stuff I have left. I know there are a few things here... Either way, I'm excited for you guys considering it! :cheer2:

Cammie - I got a little sumpin sumpin from Disney yesterday - our welcome to ASMu for our trip in May! :cool1: What is it about a return address from Disney that gets me so excited???
I'm the same way - even if it is just a bill! :rotfl:

:thumbsup2 Well said my friend, well said! :thumbsup2

#1, I have personally toured the Sharton Vistas that are near WDW. They were beautiful in 2002 - about like what you would rent on the beach. Nice though. I'm not sure how much it would cost to rent them though - they were focusing on the time share thing. :headache: Now, I don't know what you think about "roughing" it - but there are the cabins on property too.

I know about the weight. My friend signed up up for this wellness journey class that is about making a scrapbookish journal and documenting your process. It is all about working out too - because the focus on the pre work was getting good shoes and a sports bra! :headache:

I've got to get motivated though... I've so got to get motivated!

Cammie - okay, I have to say that is the nuttiest setup I've heard of - so you have two people who can so drastically affect Amanda (aka your) daily schedule? Why don't they just have one nurse ride with her and attend school with her - and have it so she has two - and they could back each other up?

Oh - I know why - there are men planning that out? I'm right aren't I?

I'm sorry - what a PITA!
