Good luck with the mattress. I was at Select Comfort. I just left you a voicemail. Call me if you have questions on the memory foam beds. They do take along time to get used to. Check out the exchange policy and warranty really well.

Just got ur message Laura - I couldn't find my cell phone! Anyway, that's good information to know...... And we just got a call that they have our mattress and want to deliver it anyway, so it might just be too late. I'm thinking that might be a good thing....:rolleyes1

Kara- My family is like yours they would be so happy no matter what. Mike's family other than his sister is the same as Jeff's would find 110 reasons why We shouldn't etc...

I just found out Mike's parents are coming home on April 10th. I maybe coming to visit Kara for a month ;) I have to clean the house and get everything white glove clean or I am going to hear it for the next 15 years. :headache: Mike's poor sister is getting stuck with them the longest because they are going to try and FIX her marriage. Not going to happen they have mutually decided on divorce. I was hoping I could find someone to do the cleaning for 100 dollars or so what do you think???

Badookie finally broke his fever :yay: and I am now getting him back to a normal schedule. I swear I need a long rest now after dealing with that. When do Mom's ever get a break?

OMG!!! I'm like Laura, I had to laugh!!! What is it with people? !
They are nuts! Seriously - NUTS!

On the bed - My SIL just got one 2 months ago. She's moving it to the basement and getting a new one. Kills her back. :rolleyes1 I'm thinking it might be a blessing that they are ready to deliver yours!

On telling your parents - that is great about them being so supportive! I think I can understand where Jeff is coming from in a way. I got the whole "I can't believe you are doing this to Nicolas" speech when I was pregnant. :sad2: As an only child though - I can say I'll bet Ally will always be over the moon! :dance3:

And regardless of if this pans or doesn't pan - I also think you guys are great for considering it! :cutie:

Jillian - Nothing quite like your FIL running his fingers across your blinds when you have a brand new baby at home. :rolleyes1

Laura - SNOW! Nooooo.... that is not right!

:cheer2: So Nicolas scored his first Soccer Goal today in the Game!:cheer2:

And I missed it. :sad1: I kept Mia home since it was in the 40's here. It was the first "first" I have missed. :sad2: But I'm super excited for him though! :cheer2:

I cleaned up a bit outside today, and I have so much weeding and mulching to do. :headache: I got some bins to organize my closet - I think I'll do a bit of that today.

Last night I packed crafting supplies for our trip this weekend - so all that is left is clothes. I'm starting to feel really guilty - Mom was suppose to help Carlos this weekend - they said "YES" in Jan. Of course, they decided to go visit my SB - so can't help any more.

I so feel a talk coming. I have had it with this crap. Say "No" when I ask - I certainly don't care - but don't say yes and change it at the last minute. This is just not fair to us. :headache:

Chatty chatty bunch! I was off seeing the HSM play at the theatre today and then out for some fresh air since it was 60!

I keep meaning to ask you guys if anyone saw Greys the other night? Did anyone else besides me think of our little group here????

Hi girls at last i can get on i've been trying for hours and hours .. was updates or something!!

Wanted to say HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to you all i know yours isn't till May but we're all mum's and always deserve a mother's day hahaha

Right now i can go back and catch up on what's been going on over last few days .. i've been so manic trying to get everything sorted for thursday :cool1: i cannot wait we are both so so so so excited to be going!!!!

Hi Girls! Happy Mothers day to you Erin! And Tessa as well!!!!
We can all catch up tomorrow!

Erin and Tessa hope you had a super Mother's day! You deserve it.

Erin- Is this the trip you are going to Oklahoma? I am so excited for you. I love going anywhere on vacation. Have a blast.

Kara- How is the furniture change over going? Can't wait to see Pics

Debbie- How are you trip planning I am sure!

Well I just told Mike I don't think I can move. We told our parents this weekend it my mother was in tears and I mean sobbing. I can't do that to them. He doesn't understand he is not close to family at all. What to do? A part of me wants to move we would do better financially and he would be happier which would make us all a bit happier. It is too hard to leave. I am not sure how anyone does it.

This is such a personal decision because it is so different for everyone. Some families actually do better living apart but then there is me who still lives with her parents! I don't know what to say to you because the decision is yours and optional. It's not like the hubby got transfered and you have to move. Good luck and know we are here to listen!

Oh Jillian that is so tough!!! How often do you see your parents now? It's funny - Jeff's parents were the same way when we moved. Tried to talk us out of it and everything. But we actually see them MORE now because when they come they are here for a few days at a time, as opposed to us seing them for dinner every other week or so, sometimes more. Plus, when we go to visit is is more laid back. We just hang out and talk or whatever. So believe it or not, it's a tough adjustment in the beginning, but it gets easier.

My parents are another story because they are getting older so the 13 hr drive is tough for them, and my dad won't fly. Luckily my job allows me to work from anywhere so I can go visit them whenever.

I wouldn't make any rash decisions just yet. And I'm sure that once your parents give it time to settle in, they'll want what is best for you, too. Because if this is really the best thing for you and your family, you've got to go for it. Just make sure you really check out the area first and you are committed to making it work.

Oh, one more thing. I actually talk to my parents MORE by living further away. I probably talk to them 3 or 4 times a week, and I talk to my sister almost every day. Sometimes it's silly stuff, like calling during American Idol and watching the show together. Something we probably wouldn't do if we were only 30 minutes away....

that is the wild card when it comes to moving. :confused3Families can be tough. Mike's parents are from Italy, correct? My sister moved all around and we actually talk to her more now than when she lived here. We don't see her as much but with Skype we have "seen" her more often. Good luck and like we always say we are here for you.:grouphug:

I was going thru withdrawals yesterday. The upgrade took a long time. My heart goes out to the webmaster. What a yucky job. :surfweb:

FINALLY-- my bathroom is getting re-done. if you remember last year the ceiling fell down. Tim have finally decided that it is time to finish it off. okay i will give him a little slack as we found another leak from the upstairs bath 3 weeks ago but I want it done! now my dilema. Do we rip out the tub/shower surround and replace it with a whirlpool tub. The tub only fits one person now and the new one would only fit one too but the bad part is that the tub wouldn't be as deep. I love a good soaking tub. We have limited space so I haven't found one that would be over 18" deep and in the length we need. It's like $700 just for the tub and plumbing. He'd install it himself. Thank good I married Bob Villa. :lmao: Yes I know the money could get us to Disney for a week but I think the bathroom take just a little bit more priority--not much though.:goodvibes

It is a personal decision I just needed someone to complain too. Thank You

I see my family 4 or 5 days a week and talk to them everyday. So it is really hard for me. I feel like I am tearing Luca away from them. I have lived away from them before for 6 years, but it is Luca I am concerned about. I think we are still going to see how it works out.

Now onto Disney planning.

We are going in Sept. but now the question is when to go? We would like to hit free dining and F&W, but Mike's birthday is Sept 1st and so we are not sure when to go. Do I miss F&W or do I go and get free dining and upgrade to Deluxe dining?

Well thanks for listening. I am going to shower and clean up the kitchen while Badookie is sleeping.

Jillian - I vote for free dining. After all, it's, well, FREE! :rotfl2: Jeff and I were there mid-Sept last year (last week of free dining) and it was great! Although it was hotter than early May when we love to go.

But the parks were nearly empty - it was great! AND the further into Sept you get, the less your chances of hitting a hurricane......

Free Dining is never a done deal though right? Every year don't they tease that it won't be back? I am sure it will though!

Good luck with the bathroom and house Kara and Laura!

Dear Jillian, it is tough. I don't have great family support, but I struggle with the kids being torn away thing too. :hug:I know it isn't easy - but only you guys know what is the best for everyone.

I vote late Sept - kids are back in school etc - plus you get free dining and it is warmer - besides - you can still "CELEBRATE" the birthday then - and it will be sweeter on FREE DINING! :yay:

Okay, so I was out with the kids yesterday, two neighbors cut their grass. My nose gets stuffy, my throat feels swollen. Call the nurse today to see if I need to add the Patanase to the mix (inhailed allergy med) she FLIPS OUT! Said I should have went to the ER right then. I'm thinking she is NUTS! :confused3

I guess you can have two types of allergic responses - #1: sneezing, itchy eyes, hives or #2: airway issues/swelling - that is me.

So she says she needs to talk to the dr - who wants me to do a 5 day course of steroids (prednasone again :sad2:) to help with the swelling. I'm not so sure I want to take it. I mean the only thing I had was swelling and a bloody nose. :confused3

Am I being difficult here? Should I do what they tell me - or should I just try the inhailed allergy med in addition to my other allergy meds? :confused3

I'm all for following dr orders but I so feel like this is an overreaction. Yes I had swelling, but I never felt like I was going to DIE. It was just my throat swelled, and my nose got so stuffy I couldn't breath through it - via swelling (nothing like snot in there or anything) and just bloody.

Lorrie - that does not sound good. I've had a stuffy nose before, but not from swelling!!! I think you should listen to the dr. But why is this still happening? Why can't they keep you on something 24/7 to PREVENT these allergy flare ups???

I used to have horrible allergies - not as bad as you, but pretty yucky. I was on everything it seemed like, and I would grow immune to it after about a year. Except Zyrtec - I was able to stay on that for about 4 years before it stopped working for me. I walked around WDW last year one day just awful! Nonstop sneezing, my eyes practically swollen shut, just miserable.

Then I found this new doctor, and she put me on Flonase. I swear I have not sneezed since I started on it. She promised to be my new best friend after prescribing it to me, and I"m thinking of naming my child after her - wait, her name is Allison!!!! :rotfl2: Too bad she spells it wrong... ;) Yes, my Ally is Allyson.

Anyway, that's my allergy story.

OK, so over the weekend we moved Ally's two dressers into the guest room. Then I cleaned the loft area and threw out 2 FULL garbage bags of toys. Just crap like McD's toys and used up coloring books. By doing that I was able to consolidate so many of her toys so that I'm selling her white wrought iron toy box/bench and white wrought iron doll bed. Gone! And then I cleaned off the computer desk, packed up the computer and put it in a closet (actually, I'm taking the tower to my BIL in Ohio to look at and clean up for me). Then I took the computer desk downstairs to sell. Gone! Along with a printer that hasn't been used since we moved. Gone!

By doing all this, I cleared enough space in the loft to move the sectional from the Disney room, minus the sofa bed part of it that will go into my office for my mom..... It looks awesome up there! Actually looks like a little TV room now instead of just junk everywhere!

Then today I had to move a table and chairs out of the Disney room, into Ally's room. There are just a couple of things left in the Disney room now, so tonight I"m going to vacuum really good and tonight jeff and I are moving our dressers up there. The new furniture comes Wednesday so I need to have everything up there ready for the new stuff to come into my room then.

And Jeff is in a pissy mood so he's not even helping me. Just moping around the house. He gets this way every so often. I think it's PMS or something. But he'd better get over himself soon cause I'm sick of cleaning for HIS family! I now have all this crap in the living room hoping someone buys it soon! Otherwise, I'll take it to a battered women's shelter.

Oh, and did I mention the Elmo chair and lego wagon full of blocks? And the Barbie corvette and the little tykes cd player with headphones? Or the Princess mirror that talks? Yeah, it's all GONE!!!

OMG! It's raining!!! It's the most beautiful thing! We are soooo dry here so this improves my mood a lot!

We got Ally's comforter over the weekend. She found it at JCP and it was a killer deal! Originally $139 for a queen bed in the bag. On sale for $69.99, and another 10% off! So I got it for a steal! Then we both got dresses and shoes for a wedding in May and we gonna be stylin!

Now I just have to get through the next couple of days so I can get all this crap done and all will be well.

Tessa & Erin - Happy Mothering Day! I forgot to add that in my earlier post!

Kara - Well, :rolleyes1 I'm on the following allergy regimine:
Zyrtec - one pill, once daily
Nasacort - two sprays/each nostril twice daily
Afrin - one spray/each nostril once daily
Benadryl - at night as needed.
Saline flush - twice a day - and any time I'm coming in.
Shower and change upon coming in
Change air filters once a month
Keep car air on recycle
BASICALLY LIVE IN A BUBBLE :rotfl:

All that said, I'm off to soccer practice this afternoon.

Now - my next allergy add in is Patanase (like Patanol eye drops) Flonase does squat for me but gives me a sore throat. I dunno why, but that stuff is useless for me. Nasacort works much better - I think THINK because all mine is swelling and it is a nasal steroid. :confused3

I got the mail as my neighbor was cutting his grass - nose shut down again, so I popped the prednasone. I think I'm just adding the Patanol in to the mix. She told me to do it if I wasn't better in two weeks (a month ago) but I was, so I didn't - but now I'm not, so I think I will. :rotfl:

Are you putting all that stuff you are ditching on EBAY or Craigslist? I'd hold on to that ELMO chair - that is pretty popular kid stuff - boy and girl.

:confused3
I can totally see that the bathroom might get a smidge more priority ;)

I LOVED Flonase!!! I don't use it now but I have. I have horrible allergies but have managed them with Allegra D and my inhaler. I DID go through allergy shots too. Have you ever considered it? I do not need medication like I used to. I was on a ton like you and now I am on an as needed basis. Allergy shots is something to consider if it can get you off of some of those meds!
