EEP!!!!

Now I'm getting in touch with friends from HIGH SCHOOL!!!

IKWYM - I was just answering some requests that Debbie told me about, and I found a few old friends, then I did an IQ test, because I didn't want Kara to be smarter than me :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Then I was sucked into some other stupid thing- I ended up getting out of the IQ test without my results, but it said I was 38% dumb - whatever that is :confused3

I decided not to go there too much - not enough time to keep up. I'm usually half asleep by the time I can come here.

Jillian - Sorry to hear about Badookie's ear infection. I know they can really hurt the little ones and it's so sad there is nothing you can do. I hope he feels better soon!

Erin - Glad your tooth is better. Did you your wisdom teeth pulled? Which reminds me, I have to head back to the dentist myself now that it's the new year and I can dip into my 2009 coverage. I still have to get a permanent filling for the root canal tooth and then have a "deep-scaling" cleaning done on my gums! WooHoo - what a way to start the new year!

Tammie & Jillian - Your Disney plans look great. I am the next to go - in just about 6 weeks! Man, I have to update my pre-trippie AND -- get back to my TR which I have just about abandoned these past weeks.

Hope all is well with everyone! Laura - how has Beth been recovering?

Wow Cammie! Your trip is really close! You'd better finish your TR, or you'll be gone before you're back! :goodvibes

Thanks girls no luck on the car front we just cannot agree so we are going to wait a few months until we are really pressed for time and need to buy something fast.

Thanks for all of the well wishes on his ears I am sure he'll be fine in no time.

Cammie- I am so excited that you are going again that will be such a good time.

I guess the right car will come along if you wait.

Nothing too terribly exciting really. I waited and waited for this and then was a bit disappointed. I mean, NOTHING at Disney disappoints, but you know what I mean, there was all this hype, and then nothing much. I love leaving the park and Mickey standing out at the train station saying goodnight to everyone. And of course rope drop at MK makes me cry every time.

I swear, I get weepy eyed just thinking about it!!!!

Jillian, Epcot is our fave too - I just love WS and Ally is such a trooper about it. I'm training her right, my little shopping buddy! :rotfl2:

Not much DIS or facebook time this week - I've got to get caught up at work, and go to the clubhouse for my Biggest Loser weigh in. I think my neighbor is gonna do this with me, so we'll head up at lunch time and make it "official."

Y'all have a great day!!!

Good luck with the weight loss!

Hiya all...

just a quick fly by again - kids go back to school tomorrow - me to work....

All the washing machine talk... over here front loaders are the norm, so don't know why they break down so much over there??? Usually we have found that a washing machine motor lasts 6 years ish - just till the extended cover runs out!!! Ours is a Hoover - found them to be reliable...

Tammie - the language difference gave me a giggle.... pants tend to mean knickers over here!!

Tessa

:rotfl2: knickers, meaning "panties or underwear?" So my statement would read, "my panties are tight since the holidays!" :lmao:

My wisdom teeth started coming through just after i had Chloe and the dentist said they didn't need to come out, however every now and again the gum will swell up as the tooth is pushing it's way through a bit more .. i don't really want them taken out as am not a big fan of the dentist but fed up of this i tell ya!
Oh no poor you not the best start to 2009

This is 1 of my most treasured memories, the very first time we took Chloe she was 5 and on our first day to MK we stayed and watched Spectromagic and Wishes of course, as i turned the stroller around to walk out she literally crashed in seconds, after returning the stroller i had to carry her (and cj at 5 was not the lightest of children) anyway she was still snoozing as we made our way out with the hundreds of other people to the monorail and we saw Mickey waving goodnight to everyone, she woke up just long enough to see him wave goodbye to "just her" as she saw it and still to this day talks about how Mickey waved goodnight to her .. it was so very special

How sweet! :lovestruc

Hi debbie I am dis'ing and cleaning. Trying to bothient working so well. Beth went to school today. I am expecting to get a call to pick her up though. She gave me a real good sob story why she shouldn't go but it turned out thAt she just wanted to watch tv.

The washer is in the house but tim decided we need to redo the laundry room. It was the n
Only unfinished room in the house. So we are putting inslulation and a vinyl tile floor. He wants to go with black and white. I'm not too sure. I just want my washed hooked up. Tessa wAshers usually last around 10-15 yes for a top loader. Front loaders are just becomng widely available. That may be the reasons foe some of the trouble.

Have fun with the remodel! Did you agree on the decor?

OK maybe I need to give myself 30 minutes in the morning!

Of course! It takes 15min just to catch up every day!:surfweb:

Cleaning here too. I am going thru Luca's toys and giving the baby toys to my cousins baby. He is getting very upset with me so I just moved them all to the other room and now he doesn't even notice. ;)

Kara- I think I like Epcot because I don't feel rushed I can just walk around and see things and SHOP and have some great food too me that is what vacation is suppose to be oh yeah and now that I know about those frozen slushies that too

Debbie- Don't limit yourself too much. We as parents need a break too and I think about how much down time Mike has at work it doesn't make me feel so bad.

I never did go grocery shopping yesterday so I am going to have it delivered because we are still down to one car Mikes truck should be ready in the AM thank goodness :woohoo: I have felt like a prisioner I haven't been able to get anything done.

My diet and workout routine starts first thing tomorrow morning weigh in and all! I am thinking about buying a tredmill this week too. No Excuses.

Epcot is our least favorite - I don't know why - we like the rides!:woohoo: I am learning to appreciate WS more, though. It would be nice to have the groceries delivered!:thumbsup2

OK, I spent waaaaaay too much time on Facebook this morning. Found a couple more high school friends. Amazing how everyone else seems to age, but I don't! :rotfl2: That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Jillian - I just did a whopping 5 minutes on my elliptical. Only 50 cals burned, but I guess better than nothing, right? One thing I learned after we bought this elliptical - don't go cheap! We got this at Wal-Mart, I think for about $230. It does the job, I know from the last time I used it about 4 times a week and I got up to about 30-40 minutes on it at a time. But it is so NOT smooth like the machines at the gym. I could go to a gym right now and do 20-30 minutes on one of their ellipticals, but I can only do 5 on mine? Who knows, maybe that's a good thing, so I actually get MORE of a workout here at home. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

I've been very good today with eating, but I need to drink more water - that's always my downfall. I also need to eat more "free" veggies. I just get so sick of carrots and celery. And I like it to be EASY - no preparing all kinds of stuff.

Ally is next door, finally able to play with other kids, and she goes back to school tomorrow. I'll be glad for her, I know she's been bored at home with me. But today she was playing Rock Band, and practicing guitar to "Wanted Dead or Alive" - and she was singing along. I told her she couldn't use the microphone or I wouldn't get anything done! Of course, it's not because of all my playing on the DIS and Facebook! That's my story......

Well, you get the point!

I'm glad Ally is better. You are doing really well with your eating. I ordered a set of the new "figure 8" again. It's "new and improved!" Jim asked me to get some for him, and I "figured" I should try to get those last 10 pounds off!

Well I am ignoring my child and since he's not 2 yet I think that is a bad thing, but I cannot watch cars one more time. I might jump off the roof:rotfl2: I had about 1/2 cup of white rice today and a few slices of corned beef because that was what was easy and I am not starting anything until tomorrow.

Mike and I are about to kill each other over this car thing because we cannot agree. I think things like power seats are important he thinks that it is not. Well he's not 5'1 and doesn't have to drive it all of the time I DO:mad: I am not sure how to get him to budge. I wish I could just go and buy a New car instead of a 2008 with the features I don't want. Me being spoiled

When Myles was 2 it was All Nemo All the Time! In the car and at home. We got all of the lines memorized, and then he switched to the Incredibles, then Cars. Now he likes a variety.

I needed a break to say hi to everyone. I've been knee deep in trying to sort out bills/budgets for the new year. I NEED A DRINK. I think I'm going to settle for a nice shower instead.

I'm back on the weight watchers wagon again. I lost 1.6 lbs last week, but can't take credit as I really did nothing different. I get 26 points a day. Yesterday I consumed 56  Blasted Mexican Eateries!:rotfl2:

I need to now do my weekly meal planning. SO I will shower first, get that done and then maybe I will have time to sneak up here and catch up on the 10000000000000 posts I'm behind on.

Hope all of you are doing very well! It is a cold nasty day here. Very blah - wintery.:sad2:

Well, aren't you organized and planned! I seem to do everything last minute - I really need to keep better track of the bills.

I am there with you on the drink. I have a PTO meeting tonight and we always have a cocktail afterwards. I am sooooo looking forward to it.

Tim tore the laundry room apart. I have washer but I can't use it. AGHHHH!!!

I'll explain later

How was the PTO? I hope you get your washer hooked up soon!

I could use a drink!!!! Had a productive day though......ALWAYS have to stop by here to see my FAVORITE internet friends!

Good for you - Awww thanks.:grouphug:

Well, the washer repair man came today, and my washer has a bad controller board!:headache: Anyway I called Whirlpool, and told them this is BS, and I'm not going to be without a washer for > 10 days. So the board will be delivered Wednesday, and the service man will be there too. I think I'm going to have that drink with all of you too. Hey Deb, I'm sending you an email about the facebook thing.

Yikes! I hate those repairs!:scared1: I'm glad you got them to speed it up!

Looks like drunk posting will be making a come back in 2009!!!!!!

We could all use a little DP!:3dglasses It will help the Winter go by quicker!

Well, I have to get to sleep - early morning tomorrow - I have to take Myles to and from Pre-school this term while Mark and Lindz are student teaching. I hate taking Londynn out in the cold to do it - oh, the truth is, I hate to take ME out in the cold!;)

Don't feel bad, I ignore Ally a lot lately. Remember when they were teeny and we all thought, oh I can hardly wait til he/she/it can talk? AARRGGHH!!! Now I just wish she would STOP talking for 2 minutes! She just has to hear herself!

As for the car, you could do what we do - have about 15 seconds to decide on a car as it comes through the auction lane! I love my car but I really wish I'd held out for leather interior as these seats are soooo dirty!

It'll come along when you're not expecting it - that's usually how stuff falls into place!

Looks like drunk posting will be making a come back in 2009!!!!!!

IKWYM - I was just answering some requests that Debbie told me about, and I found a few old friends, then I did an IQ test, because I didn't want Kara to be smarter than me :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

what was my score???? I backed out of it before I got my score!

WHAT??????? :scared1: And to think I USED to like you! j/k but we do need to do something to "fix" you! :rotfl2:

Good Morning Girls today we are finally getting Mikes truck back thank goodness. :worship: also a doctors appt and grocery shopping my life is so exciting:sad2:

Kara- I know what you mean. I couldn't wait for Luca to walk talk etc now he's running and screaming. Did we sign up for that? Is Ally still practicing rock band? Tell her I want a singing contest to dead or alive it is my favorite song:laughing:

Tammie- I wish I just had 10 to loose. Good for you getting that last 10 off. I have had to lugg Luca out in the cold to drop Mike off at work the days I needed the car he was so upset.

Well off to shower and start the day.

my sister sucks! She is going to wdw this weekend. She is in GA so it is a close drive.

Tough day here the water softener cycled all over the living room floor.

what has been the longest you have ever driven with the kids in the car. I am thinking of driving to GA over spring break. Debbie if I do that would you want to meet in Rockford for a quick hello? Renee you are outside of Chattanooga right? That's on my path too.

The total drive appears to be 17 hours. I don't know if I could pull it off in day, unless I let the girls sleep most of the night. Thoughts? Lots of movies. I'm thinking leaving Friday at 3 pm. Drive until midnight and then take off again really early in the AM. Just get a cheap hotel.

My total evil plan is once we are in GA we would head on down to WDW. :rolleyes1 It is short drive, from what I am told. My only dilemma is that it would be the Spring Break crowds and I know the parks will be crazy.

The other part of this is that it would be me by myself and no Tim. He will have to work.

Laura - I love to drive just me and Ally but 17 hrs is a looooong drive! We just did about 14 to my parents house and split it into 2 days. about 8 the first day and 6 the next. Ally is very good in the car - movies, music, books - but the stops are longer than I like. If it's just me I can drive straight through with minimal gas/food/potty breaks. Kids make it longer.

What part of GA is your sister in?

I just read that Space Mtn is closing for refurb in April. Darn! My BSIL will miss it and it's their fave! Insert evil laugh here.

Jillian - I used to love Bon Jovi, until Ally got ahold of their music! Bless her heart, she thinks she can sing, but she's TERRIBLE!!!!! And now she's trying to practice drums and guitar, and of course that's the song she uses all the time!!!!! I cringe when I hear it starting up now!

I think that would be a long drive. I couldn't do it with Badookie, but that's just me. You may want to leave a bit later so you can miss traffic and the kids will sleep thru the night? do you have AAA? Have them set up the drive for you they will give you where to stop a hotel to stay at etc...

Kara- I could see how that would bother you she is too funny. I can't wait to meet her.

Laura if she's NE of Atlanta, that's a fairly long drive to Disney! I'm guessing at least 5-6 hrs. I know it takes me about 5-6 hrs to get to Atlanta from here!

Hello. I'm making progress on catching up. I've been though a few pages at least! :rotfl:

Guess who I got a call from? Remember that friend that came here for Mia's first birthday and pitched a fit to go home early and I had to drive her back to the airport at 5 pm (I had to leave guests with Carlos to go do it). Well, she is trying to invite herself to Nicolas' birthday party this year. I want to say NO! but I know I never will. :scared1: Anyone know of a good store that has backbones fairly cheap?

I'm still trying to get the planning stuff done. My diet is falling to the wayside, so I need to get super serious about that these days. I still need to plan our menus. I have such a problem sticking to it these days!

Ok, enough wallowing in pity - off to be productive :)

There are not enough hours in the day to support my addictions!:lmao:

Seriously, I join the DIS and meet all of you fine ladies and I can't drag myself away from here. Now you convince me to join FaceBook and I can't look away from it! I have officially become a computer nerd who no longers needs any personal interaction - or fresh air for that matter!(I haven't figured out how to go wireless with my laptop or I would take it outside!)

I don't mean to neglect you all here but I've got high school friends coming out of the woodwork! And, like Tammie said, I really need to finish my TR before I go on my next trip. Oh what problems I have!

You're going away for Nicolas' bday this year, remember? wink wink

That's what we plan to tell our friends when they want to come back to visit. Actually, I got a call on new years day from her and she said they do want to come back. It's a shame we won't be here...... ;)

Cammie - I've also found a bunch of high school and college friends on facebook. It's crazy! And so addictive!

yes way too addictive. Add the itouch to mix and I am always one I'd the other

At least now you all know why I've decided to boycot Facebook. I need something else to add to my list like I need a hole in my head. I sort of see it like one of those online pets - you always have to do stuff with it - too much work for me these days! ha ha. I do well to keep up with you gals. I'm realistic... I know my limit. :rotfl2: :lmao:

I still get the Facebook emails "so & so wants to buy you" "so & so emailed you" "so & so wrote on your wall. I don't even know where my stupid wall is! :lmao: :rotfl2: I don't want to know either. :snooty: All it would do is compete with my DIS time and we all know what a bang up job I'm doing about being around on here these days! :rolleyes1

On a funny note... Mia is wearing Princess PJs, a Princess Sleeping Gown on top of that, the fleece pullover with the hood over that, and her light up princess shoes. She is so funny with her princess obsession. I wonder who in the world started all that.:rolleyes1 :rotfl2: :lmao:

Kara - good thing you posted photos of BSIL. I sware I'd have to wonder if my friend and BSIL were one in the same! :rotfl2: I'll tell Carlos tonight and he will flip out. He said some place rather warm would freeze over before she came back. :confused3

OK, I need the advice of my DISbuds! What do y'all think is a good age for little girls to get their ears pierced?

Well, I had to wait until I was 13. That was my big "13th" present. Things are so different now. My niece is barely 1 and has them done! Everyone is different, but I would tell little Ms. Ally that getting your ears pierced is a big deal - a very grown up thing to do and that cheating on her test and keeping a messy room were showing me that she wasn't ready for that responsibility just yet. (the daily cleaning, etc when first done) ;) I'd see what I could get out of her :rotfl:. My neighbors daugher looked like an 18 year old the other day - makeup, etc. I just think kids today are growing up way too fast. With Mia - she is waiting until she is a teenager -13. Just my two cents - everyone is different. One of those no right/wrong answer type of things - just opinions.

Speaking of - and you all are going to kill me. I know I have should we go this month or that month'ed you guys to death, but if I open up all of 2010 as a possibility to go with the kids - any ideas on what months to look at? I need to update my TGM to show I'm not going this year plus maybe if I get a focused time of year I can roll with that. I'm tempted to go early May, but we can do just about anything.

As usual, I vote early May - the very first week. Great weather, most attractions are open, and the Epcot Flower & Garden Festival. Plus rates are good then, too.

I got my ears pierced at 12, that was the earliest my dad would allow it. I'm really torn here. I think it will be Jeff making the final decision. I don't have a problem with the little studs, but the dangly earrings and hoops are out at this age. She just loves to dress up so much, and we were just out and she said, "just think Mommy, we could share earrings!" It was so cute!

Well I think it is every parents choice, but I was Ally's age when I got mine done. I think if she is old enough to understand the responsibility then go for it maybe make her feed bucky for 2 weeks and if she can handle that maybe she is ready? If she screws up then she made her on fate.
