Looking For Control Freaks & Worry Warts too........

When DH and I stayed at BW, I think we only took the bus to AK and maybe MK (we snuck in Epcot and hoofed it to the monorail, too!), cuz we took the boat to MGM/DHS - I can't believe you walk, that's a loooong walk!!! That is what I looooove about BW, the convenience! And of course Epcot WS is my favorite part of WDW! Look out F&W, we're gonna do some damage!!! :rotfl:

The buses were great when we stayed at POP, so I'm not too worried. I'll let the rest of our group decide what they want to do. Even at POR, we had several stops within the resort, but the transportation was fine. One thing I can't remember though, do the buses run from park to park? :confused3

No, they don't but there are some creative ways to get from park to park. Where are you looking to go to and from?

Cammie - we are hopping all over:

1) From DHS to one of the water parks (can't decide yet!)
2) AK to Epcot
3) DHS to MK, then to Hoop Dee Doo (don't we just bus to Fort Wilderness?)
4) MK to Epcot - that one's easy!!! Love the monorail!

Thanx!

No, not that I remember.

Oh goody! Something I can help out with finally! I've been digging on this one too over on the rest. thread. I found out that there is a bus that runs from AK to DHS, but there were several parks that do not have bus services that connect them directly. I will see if I can find that list and where it came from....

Found it... this is what someone responded to me... Hope it helps

You may be thinking of the bus that runs from AKL to DHS. I'm pretty certain no bus goes directly from park to park.

Kara -

1). Can walk or boat from DHS to BW and get on the bus to the waterpark you choose
2). Get on the BW bus at AK; then walk over to Epcot
3). Take WL bus from DHS. R U going to MK, then dinner at HDDR? If so, WL has a 10 minute ferry ride to MK. If just going straight to dinner, there's a ferry that runs from WL to FW.
4). Easy peasy!:thumbsup2

I have no direct knowledge of how all this works, since I haven't been yet. This is just what someone listed - so I'm not sure it is right. I would stick with Cammie since she has experience.

Thanx bunches! I'm sure DH would have thought of the BW connection (have I mentioned we LOVE BW?? :lmao: ), but now I can best him!

Doggie update. Poor Bella is just not herself today. So many messes I lost count! And it's really causing me problems at work. Today I was on the phone with a customer when Bella started scratching at the back door (at least that was something!) so I took her out while talking to customer (wireless headset), but the customer needed me to look something up and Bella is just wandering aimlessly around the yard. I couldn't leave her there because she gets confused, so I had to lie to the customer and tell her my computer was down. DH is the one that is dragging this out. He's not here all day to see how she behaves. I mean, she's really not "living" right now anyway. I don't want to do it, but I'm not going to drag this out if she's not comfortable, and I don't think she is. Plus, with everything I'm going through, it's making me an ugly person! :scared:

DH argues that I'll have him put down too once he can't control himself any more (yeah, with that attitude I just might! :rotfl: ), but there's a difference! Why do I feel soooo selfish? I keep trying to justify having her put down, but I shouldn't have to. If only you could see the look in her eyes. It is time. She is not doing well at all, AND the messes in the house are just compounding the issue. I think I need to just tell DH that he can spend a couple of days with her at home and then he'll see what I mean. Why can't she just go in her sleep????

Renee - you were right on the money about making the resort connection either way. I had forgotten about that. But Cammie has my best interest at heart by trying to get me to BW so I can stop by that DVC info center! :rotfl2:
Funny story - when we were checking out of POR, DH and DD took our stuff to the car while I checked out and refilled our mugs. I was waiting in line when DH called me to say I didn't really need to "check out" so I stopped at the DVC desk and asked where the nearest post office box was so I could mail my Fairy Godmailer postcards. He took them from me (the box was right behind his counter) and handed me a postcard of AK villas. That was right when DH and DD rounded the corner and saw me take something from the DVC guy! DH about had a coronary! He looked at me and said "WHAT DID YOU DO?" The look on his face was priceless! :rotfl2: Obviously he knew I didn't BUY but he thought I had scheduled a tour or something. And he KNOWS that once he goes on the tour, it's all over but the signature!!!

OK, now I just have 6 posts before I hit 500!

Go Kara! Go Kara! Go Kara!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: What a nice anniversary present it would be. Get hubby all liquored up at the F&W Festival; then pull out those DVC papers!:thumbsup2

Sorry about the dog troubles. I look at this way: animals can't TALK; they communicate in other ways; seems to me your puppy is trying to let you know it's time. You're not being selfish at all.

Kara - I'll only offer this. When I had to put down my dog, the question the vet (who was on her cell phone with me from vacation at the beach - LOVE HER!) asked me was "Did she give you that look". I was like, how do I know. She said that she had seen dogs that she'd be seeing for the first time and she would know - so I say if you think she is giving you that look as you said, maybe it is time.

Just MHO, take a day, plan it out, give her a good day. Like your DH, I kept putting it off and thinking the time would come later. Well, it snuck up on me. I had to do it one night after I had been gone practically all day taking DS to the toy store. :sad2: That is one HUGE regret that I have. I wish I had a good 24 hours to say our goodbyes at home and do things to comfort her in ways she loved. Car ride with the windows down, fav meal. In the end you know what is best. This is just some of my thoughts having already been down this road.

You guys I have to tell you I beg for our puppy to go in her sleep. I could NEVER take her in..............OMG Kara I feel so bad for you!

BTW I have been on the computer way.........................too much today!!!!!! It started searching for a car rental for my P's and I have barely left! Poor neglected kids!!!!!

Okay, been having my thinking cap on today about that first day. It has been a heck of a family drama day around here, so thinking has been my only vice (I actually debated in my mind if 1 pm was too early for a drink :lmao: )I've come up with a couple of ideas. All assumes that we get ready to go to the parks around 1-2.

Option A - Leave as is
Go to MK, see what couple of things we can do, Dinner at CP, back to resort by 6:30.

Option B - Go to DHS to catch parade & McQueen, then try to make dinner at CP (Basically go to MK just to eat - okay that sounds stupid as I type it so I guess that is out)

Option C - Go to DHS to catch parade, McQueen & other characters. Playhouse Disney if we can and counter service (suggestions on if we'd be better off having CS inside DHS or back at ASmo). When Momzilla thinks about it, :rotfl: This may be something he'd like better - due to it sounding a little less nutty - and spend some time in the pool maybe.

I did play a little "which do you like better" game with DS. Here's the results...
1. Meeting Pooh beats rides
2. Watching a Parade beats rides
3. Parade beats meeting Pooh

Thoughts... On a good note, I may just finish my planning up here today! That will be nice!!! I'm sure you all are so sick of me by now. ha ha.

OK, now the tears are coming! DH just called to check on me. Maybe he does realize how hard it is on me. But he told me to just go out tonight and get away. I told him I was going drinking and he laughed and told me to call for a ride home!:rotfl: I agree with you Renee, about Bella having one good day before we say goodbye. Because right now I'm afraid that I will be mad at her on the way out!

Seriously, I'm going to the mall. I found the cutest golf skort - navy, with fuschia and green palm trees - but they didn't have the polo to match, so I'm hitting another store! Then Belk has their stoneware on sale so I'm getting some bright red for the new kitchen! That will cheer me up.

AND, we had someone out last evening to give us an estimate on doing a "pool enclosure" (we have no pool!) or as I like to call it a "birdcage screen" like you see all over in Florida. We're going to do an outdoor kitchen, living area, and maybe a hot tub down the road. Anyway, the price of the enclosure was about 1/2 of what we projected!!!! We're so excited because now maybe we can do that BEFORE we sell our house in SC. Now the kitchen will have to wait, unless we get a really good price on that too!

OK, only 5 posts to 500!

Renee - First of all, it's never to early for a drink! Secondly, I don't think it's silly to MK just for dinner - if you have park hoppers. Why not? You can still soak up the atmosphere and, like Debbie & Kara suggested, go do some character greets.

Kara - Go out and have a good time tonite. You deserve it, girlfriend!

I am terrible at decisions but I am leaning towards you staying at DHS they have a great counter service there too. It's the ABC commentary.

Surely you can hit 500 just commiserating with us now!

Hang in there and know we are here to listen. Enjoy tonight! Maybe you should do drunk shopping:thumbsup2 ???? Like DH said...call for a ride!:rotfl2:

I have on my WDW from Live365 I highly suggest it!!!!!

OK, Kara has solved all your problems!!!! If Parade is #1, then go to MK on Day 1 and wander up Main St, grab a hot dog at Casey's, then pop a squat on the curb and wait for the 3:00 parade!!! Yea! Then when it's over, wander over to Adventureland (CP is just on the edge of Adventureland and Main St) and hit a couple of attractions there before dinner. I'd say grab a fast pass for Jungle Cruise and wait for Pirates or Aladdin. In fact, you may have time to grab a fast pass for Jungle Cruise before the parade. By the time you ride both of those, it will be dinnertime and you will have completed Adventureland (almost!). You may be able to get in Jungle Cruise, Aladdin, and Pirates AND the parade, which your DS will LOVE all before dinner. And don't forget, you may be able to grab another fastpass right before dinner (if you've already used your other one), then come right out of CP, hit that attraction, and then head to the resort!

If the planets line up just right :lmao: you will have knocked out a whole chunk of MK already!

I'm so glad y'all have been online all day today! I feel like my buds were with me! ;)

Working from home, on a computer, is very bad for me!!!! I do better when I have cleaning or something to do, but yesterday I knocked it all out - I even washed all the downstairs windows inside and out! Nasty pollen!

Yeah this sounds good too.....see I am not good at deciding either!

Kara...do you have the XFusion ready to go yet???? I might dabble in a Thursday night drink since DH is in Arizona and DD has a day off tomorrow! You might get some wacky posts tonight!
