Tessa - Some days I feel like I am more worried than my mom but other days I can tell that she is way more worried. I guess that is good that I am positive enough to make her feel better those days.

We went to a holiday party last night at my friend's house. The party was great, my DD had a blast. When we got home I checked on my guinea pig and she wasn't sqealing like normal. DD noticed and asked me "Mommy, why isn't she making noise." I started crying. I know that is not what I was supposed to do, but oh well. I have no idea what you are supposed to tell your kids. I told my DD the truth. Pinky was very old. We had a hard night and then had to wake up early to get ready for DD's b-day party w/my family. That actually helped because DD was so excited that she forgot about Pinky. She didn't really get to be around the guinea pig all that much because she was allergic so the next few days will probably be harder for me than for her. Pinky wasn't cuddly but did like to be pet and loved us being around her. Sorry if I am rambling. Just been a lot going on lately.

I'm sorry Lisa...that is a real bummer and I know how you feel! Hang in there with everything and know we are all here for you!!!

Keep your chin up, Lisa! I know what you mean. We just want to protect our kids from hurt and pain, and it is hard because we can't. I am glad that your daughter had a diversion. I think time will lesson the pain, and it's good that she had something to keep her mind off of it, first the party and then the upcoming holiday. I am thinking of you and Debbie during your difficult times, and you guys are in my prayers. Try to keep positive thoughts!:)

Much love,
Pam2

Hiya all,
just a quick check in - got our house back - stepmum has gone home -so we can GET READY FOR CHRISTMAS!!!!!

Little miss grumpy has perked up a bit now - thankfully, and her sis who likes to stir things up has calmed down a bit, so situation now normal!!( happens about two or three days a year - the normal bit that is!!)

I really love all the photos, makes me want to be there in the magic!!

Got to go wrap some Fuzz Luvs this evening (my hubby says the name sounds "interesting" -am I sure they are for children wink-wink) They are hideous fluffy virtual pet things that thrive on love - ahhhhhhhh. If I can just get the stupid things to stop twittering at me whenever I pick up the box we will be fine!!

Hope all are hale and hearty....
Tessa

Checking on how everyone is doing w/these storms that are occurring in the Midwest. Debbie and Lisa - please let us know that you are OK! Also, anyone else who might be affected? I hope that you guys are doing OK!!

We had a cold day yesterday – I don’t think that it hit 50, but today, it’s humid, and back up to 70.

Tessa - Fuzz Luvs? I have never heard of them! I Googled them, and they are cute!! Are they big by you? I am not sure that they have hit big over here yet, or maybe I am just missing out! They look like a lot of fun! I bet that your girls will be so excited, or have they heard them talk thru the boxes? I hope not! I love the surprises this time of year! It is killing my DD10 that I do not have names on the boxes that are wrapped and under the tree. I need to get busy – I have only wrapped the Wii, the games and accessories, and they are for everyone, so I haven’t put tags on them. She cannot figure out how I can remember which box belongs to who. She keeps looking for some kind of marking on them, or system to the paper that they are wrapped in. Our big thing is Webkinz. They are stuffed animals that have a tag w/a code that you put onto the Webkinz website to play w/your virtual pet and play games. Lately for DD10, every birthday present bought, and every gift for a name drawn HAS to be a Webkinz.

I guess that everyone is busy shopping, baking, doing their Christmas cards. How’s it coming? Most importantly – are you having fun??

Please keep my mom in your thoughts and prayers. She has had a spot on her lung that they have been watching for awhile, and her last PET scan showed activity, absorption of glucose, and she has to go in for a biopsy, yet to be scheduled. I hope that it is soon. My sister has taken it very hard, but I am trying to remain positive, and pray that it is not cancer.

Tonight DD has a client dinner, so it’s just DDs and I. We are going to drop a Mickey charm that I got for my mom on our trip at the jewelers to be engraved and put on her bracelet. She will be so excited! We also need to get some groceries for food that I have to make for a school teacher’s lunch this week, a family Christmas get together Saturday day and a friend’s Christmas party Saturday night. DDs are staying overnight at my mom and dad’s Saturday night. Yikes – I also need to get small gifts for the exchanges for the Saturday parties. They are game exchanges, so we’re not giving for a particular person.

I hope to post another picture or 2 tonight. We were w/out internet and tv last night. We bundled our services w/phone service w/one provider, the billing got messed up, and they cut us off yesterday for no payment! I was livid! I was working w/them on the phone yesterday to get installation charges removed from my massive bill which I just received on Dec 7, after not getting one for quite a while after we bundled, then payed it over the phone yesterday, to come home to no service!! They wanted to charge me installation charges for turning our service off then on to consolidate the bills onto one. I am hoping that they got it turned back on today, and am thankful that they did not cut our phone service. That would have been the last straw! I have to admit it was nice to have an evening of no tv and internet. We had a lot of fun! I will be glad to get the mess straightened out. Uggh!!

One last thing - I probably told you already, but I made 2008 Disney calendars for my parents, my ILs and my sister online. I put multiple pictures on each month and grouped them by category. One month has all pictures of DDs w/the princesses, one month has all pictures of us eating, etc, etc. December 2008 is so beautiful, w/pics of us in front of the trees and Christmas decorations at WDW. ILs is just of DDs and DH & I at WDW. I can't wait to get them and give them at Christmas.

Thanks for listening/reading!

Love to all!...Pam2

Hiya
Pam2
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!
hope you have a great day. DD is having a "fantastic day" and that included school!! Wow....

Fuzz luvs are fairly big here - lots of ad time seems to have done it!!! Not as big as the Wii - mostly sold out over here. Knee deep in wrappings from Birthday stuff and will be again for Christmas in less than 2 weeks - I can't believe how quick time is flying...

Hope your mum (mom over there...) is doing OK, so many nearest + dearest are not in the best of health. Just heard this morning that our next door neighbour is in hospital for a mastectomy and chemo.

I just keep my fingers crossed that me and mine ("mine" now extends to you all of course...) stay well for Christmas and beyond - selfish I know, but we have had our troubles in the past and I want a good one this year...

I am actually having a DAY OFF at the weekend - hubby is taking the girls to the In laws for the Sunday - they have a nativity puppet theatre show at church (I don't "do" church) so he offered to take them and give me some time COMPLETELY ON MY OWN!!!!!!! .
I have NEVER had a day off from the mundaneness of every day drudge - don't know what I'm going to do - I feel like a little kid planning a day's truant.
It HAS to involve chocolate/ weepie film and maybe some disney planning

Cheers,
Tessa

Hi all! Sooooo busy - haven't had time to post; or read any for that matter. Yikes - Christmas is less than two weeks away - still not done shopping; wrapping; baking ......etc.! Love this season, though.:santa:

Girls are with dad this weekend; hopefully will sit down for a little while to catch up. Hope all is well with everyone.

Good luck to Debbie and Lisa's mom this week - and pixiedust: Hope all turns out ok.

Just noticed in Tessa's last post - HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAM! Are you feeling  or :scared1: ? Have a great day!
Cammie

Tessa - Thanks for the birthday wishes! My day involves work. That's OK. It's a great day! Enjoy YOUR day Sunday!! Your plans sound wonderful!! Enjoy! Thanks for the positive thoughts for my "mum". I am going to remain positive, bottom line. I know it's impossible not to worry, but it never does anyone any good. I am with ya - I hope that all of my friends here, and their loved ones, have a safe and healthy holiday season. That is always the wish on my birthday cake, healthy happy lives for those I love, and those they love. Again, impossible I know, but I wish that it could be so, and wish it for all of you!!

Just noticed in Tessa's last post - HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAM! Are you feeling  or :scared1: ? Have a great day!
Cammie

Thanks, Cammie! I am feeling   ! Life is good, and I feel very blessed to have another year in my life. I know that sounds corny, but it's how I honestly feel. As I am getting older, I am more appreciative of life. Enjoy your holiday festivities and your quiet (??) weekend.

I just read thru my post before hitting Submit Reply, and I know it sounds hokey, but is honest. Don't kick me off the thread.:rotfl:

Hi Everyone...
I am sorry I haven't been around. I have so much "nothing" going on that my day flies by and I feel like I am not getting anywhere! Oh well. Thank you for all the well wishes and I am sending pixie dust out too! Good luck for the Mom's test results! I pray all will be OK. PLEASE update us!

I have been spending too much money, too much computer nonsense (more spending), not enough cleaning......
Enough ranting! Hopefully I will be back later and sorry if I missed anyone's posts.

Pam2 - Hope all is well w/your mom. I do know how you're feeling. :bday:

Debbie - Did you hear about Von Maur having to close because someone called in w/a prank phone call about a shooting? We were at the mall then. Luckily I didn't know what was going on until we got home. Good luck tomorrow.

Well, I am such a baby still about Pinky. I miss her and get sick when I pass the room her cage is in. :sad1:

Pixie dust and  to everyone.

WOW! That had to freak you out!:scared1: I'm glad you are OK.
Good luck to your Mom tomorrow and I don't blame you for being sad about Pinky!!!:grouphug:

I am thinking of Debbie and Lisa today.

Thank you for the thoughts about my mom and the birthday wishes! My mom's biopsy is going to be Monday. I will keep you all posted. It was a wonderful, relaxing birthday evening. Take out Chinese food, blackberry cobbler and ice cream, a boquet of flowers, a bubble bath, no running kids anywhere, and DH filled up my gas tank because it was cold and rainy, and I didn't feel like doing it on the way home. My dad does it all of the time for my mom, but that is a chore that I usually do myself, and it was nice not to have to!

That is awful about the prank about a shooting. Don't these people have better things to do. I just wonder and cannot understand their thrills about doing destructive things. There are people that are going thru our neighborhood, slashing the holiday blow ups in people's yards. Don't they have holiday things to do? Uggh!

Lisa - I'm sorry that you still feel sad about Pinky. I hope that your daughter is doing OK w/it.

I have been hooked lately on sudoku. I cannot put them down! I am keeping them in my purse and pulling them out every chance I get. Like I don't have enough other stuff to do. I know it's a phase, but it's making me crazy! I just had to share that unimportant thought!

Have an awesome day everyone! Tomorrow is FRIDAY!
:flower3: Pam2

Pam2 - I don't understand people destroying property. Are people that bored?
And pranks about shootings, not funny at all. Glad you had a great birthday.
DD is doing okay about Pinky. She did get sad yesterday for about 2 minutes and that was it.

Debbie - Yes, it freaked me out. What freaked me out most is that there is a sicko out there that thinks this is funny. At least he didn't actually do anything.

Hi Everyone,
Well it’s over at least. Has anyone else ever gone through this? It’s not fun. I kept telling myself to be thankful for the technology and I do believe in that but now I just kind of feel spent from the whole thing. They did have to needle biopsy two spots which are probably making me a little more tender. I can give details if anyone wants me to PM them…I won’t go into it here. Now I wait and hope for the best. On a funny note my Mom gave me a present when I got home!! Just like when I was a kid and had to get a shot or go to the dentist. Isn’t that a hoot? And it was a good one too….WINTER/FUR CROCS! I love that lady.

I hope everyone else is OK today. I hope the Mom’s are all OK and are going to get good results too!

I am going downtown to have breakfast under our famous Marshal Field’s Christmas tree tomorrow morning(AKA Macy’s now) so hopefully I feel good. We follow that with a Santa vista and it’s become an annual tradition with the kids and my Mom, Aunt, Cousin and her son since I have had my kids.

This weekend we will put our real tree up and I will hopefully have the place clean and decorated. Over the past couple weeks I have been shopping (at stores and on-line), running the kids around, doing laundry, taking the kids for Christmas pictures, my DD had her little dance party, we had my DHs work Christmas party, stuff like that. Nothing you guys don’t know about!
Spent more money at Gymboree and then came home and bought more at Gymboree on-line. That’s NOT good! A dis friend set me up with a coupon that got me another 20% on top of the 20%+20%+5% I was already getting.

I thought I would kind of post long today to try and catch you guys up on what I have been up to. I apologize if I haven’t read your posts as thoroughly as I would have liked but I have been pretty scatter brained lately.

Lovin Life ( Pam2)…… I’m glad you had a nice birthday!
DisneyOhana (Lisa)
…I hope you are feeling better today about things. How did your Mom do?
Magicfor2 (Tammie)….where are you?? I hope you are having fun.
tttessa (tessa)….I DO hope you all stay happy and healthy on your end!!! Enjoy your family free day coming up. You do know you won’t end up doing half the things you plan on. Isn’t that what always happens?
Camster0307 More pix please!

MY NEXT MAJOR project….PHOTOPASS! My pix expire on the 20th too. Anyone know if I can extend that!?

Further shout out to……….Pbharris (Pam )How are you buddy?TinkLvr (Maureen) Where are you hiding? I miss you!
Ahibird (keahi) You tease us and then you disappear again!
TiDoubleGerr (Kristin)Hope you are feeling OK. Sewer As always….hope to hear from you soon!

Hey guys! The weather has been soooo bad here these past few weeks which really depresses me. But the tree is up, the and decorations out..... well almost.

Glad to see you! Hope you are surviving the weather OK. I will be done with winter by the time Christmas is over.............

Glad to see you! Hope you are surviving the weather OK. I will be done with winter by the time Christmas is over.............

You and me both! We're getting 8-10 inches dumped on us right now. A Nor-easter is supposed to hit on Sat.nite. If it's like this in Decemeber, what's January going to be like?

Why can't I just live in Disneyworld year 'round?

Sigh.......
we don't get ANY snow this time of year, send a little this way will you - I'm asking for 2-3 inches of dry powdery snow that lays on the ground for a few days then disappears without slush - not too much to ask for is it??:goodvibes

Our tree is up!! What is it with men and trees!!! We have just about filled the front half of our house with tree !!! I reckon it's another "mine's bigger than yours" if you know what I mean!!!!! ;)

It looks gorgeous - we bought lots of Disney baubles at Disneyland Paris (they have a year round Christmas shop). We kept them a secret from the girls, so when they helped decorate the tree last night they were soooo thrilled to see Pluto, Mickey etc and all the princesses - and my favourite one of Tink inside a glass bell with the palace on the top of the bell. I like a "family" tree - all their makes from school and loads of colour - hubby would prefer a theme -red/gold type thing, but he KNOWS he's not going to win till the girls are a bit older!

Schools don't break up for the girls (oooh and me too, forgot about work...) till the 21st - seems a bit Scrooge like to me!! Then they are off till the 7th of Jan. Wish they had more time before Christmas, can't wait to get into the holiday spirit, out of the routine etc.

Sending warmest wishes to you all, and the nearest and dearest with health troubles, looking forward to my Sunday off - bye for now...

Tessa

Tessa - Give me your address - I'd be HAPPY to send you some white, fluffy snow. I've got plenty to spare - have 8 inches of it sitting on my deck! And, no worries, New England snow never melts and turns to slush - stays pretty all winter long!

Yes, I'm up this early because I thought I would have to go out and shovel, yet again, to get Amanda out the door this morning. Found out our public schools have a two hour delay; so Lauren's still in bed and I've now decided to bag the shovelling and keep Amanda home today. We're going to bake cookies today. Forecast for Sat. night is not promising. Weatherman actually said we will be getting all forms of precipitation: starting with snow, then sleet, then rain. NICE!:headache:

Debbie - Hope you're feeling better this a.m. and everything turns out well.

I sooo miss shopping at Gymboree for my girls! Now, it's nothing but LimitedToo, Hollister, and American Eagle. I can get away with some things from the Gap, but not much. My 6th grader is now asking if we can check out Abercrombie - :scared1: "the store with the naked teenagers in their catalogue?" Anyway, our mall has expanded here - alot of high-end shops and they have added an Abercrombie for Kids. They seem to offer the same styles as the other stores - alot of long, narrow sweaters, baby-doll tops and camisoles, and outrageously priced jeans. Anyway -- hope you enjoy your day at Macy's with your family, Debbie!

Pam & Lisa - Hope your moms are doing well. Sending pixiedust: for both.
Hi :wave2: to everyone else. Hope you are all busy getting ready for the holidays and enjoying the season.:santa:

One more thing: Debbie - re:Photopass. I don't think you can extend your expiration date; but I will say that every year, for the past 3-4 years, they've extended it for me for another month. I know it's nothing you can count on happening - wonder if you can email and ask? I'm in the same boat - mine expires on 12/31!
