DH put these pictures together. We don't have a good family picture yet either.

DisOhana.jpg

I was thinking Lisa...You should make this your Siggie! It is so... cute!!!!!!!!!!!

Debbie....I would think rice cakes are ok..if they'll eat them. You're right..Pedialyte replaces their electroltyes they lose through vomiting or the runs..it doesn't cure the runs. It just has to run its course. Multi grain bread I am sure is fine, but NO butter or margarine. If they'll eat bananas it should help. My Dd is eating like a horse now after not being hungry for 2 weeks from the 2 viruses she had. My MIL once told me that they'll let you know when they are hungry and I never used to believe her, but it usually works out that way. Sounds like they may b at the tail end of it.

Pam - Good attitude about the root canals. The specialist that did my root canal did a great job but it takes so long. He talked during it so that made it less boring. Also, that was the first time I got out alone since DD was born so I relaxed in the chair. Good luck! BTW, love your new sig. picture.

Thanks to you all for the warm wishes. It is so nice to hear someone agree with me, I am not giving up yet ;) !

Debbie- Glad to hear your kids are feeling better, I think we are starting to get some viral thing or another, either that or it is my nerves. Does anyone else get physically sick feeling when you get stressed out or worried about something? For me, I feel it in my neck and shoulders and my tummy. We had a meeting at dd's school this morning and it has been really trying on me and dh. I woke up at like 5 this morning just to worry.:upsidedow how silly is that?

Not silly at all! I get a terrible anxious feeling and I lose my appetite.
GOOD LUCK WITH EVERYTHING!:wizard:
Remember I taught Kindergarten for a very long time if you ever want to PM me with any questions regarding your DD.

Pam -BTW, love your new sig. picture.
Thanks!

Yes, tummy troubles/bowel troubles (sorry, TMI)..sometimes a headache. You really can worry yourself sick. I've been there, done that twice. You're not silly to wake up and worry..it just happens. you have alot on your mind right now and sometimes it's really hard to sleep during times like those. My first line of defense is to close eyes, take a deep breath, hold it for 10 second and breathe out through the mouth. Repeat 10 x. It may help. Hope all goes well.

How do you like Disneyland? I have never been there. I have been too obsessed w/WDW.
I love Disneyland (and California Adventure Park) - I have such great memories as a kid, and now as a parent. It's a place I never get tired of. Then again, we didn't have anything to compare it against UNTIL we went to WDW last year. WDW was huge !!! One cast member there told me you can fit all of Disneyland into the parking lot area for the Magic Kingdom. ::yes::

I know there are many threads on the DIS that debate the "what's better: DLR or WDW" question. And I don't want to go there...:rolleyes1 Let's just say I'm obsessed with anything Disney - I mean, I'm happy to hang out at the Disney Store at the mall.....:earboy2:

Oh Oh.....pixiedust: pixiedust: Here's a double pixie dust for you! You'll like SSR. Did you request a certain area? Congress Park is nice and closest to DTD and The Springs is closest to the main pool and restaurants and The Spa there is soooooo nice. Here's their website: www.relaxedyet.com

Hannahsmom: On the brightside...you're still going to WDW.

My tooth911 from the other weekend has turned into 2 root canals and a crown. Sigh. Well, one is a root canal re-do. But..the dentist that does this is sooooo good..you don't even feel the needle for the novacain AND he looks like Barry Gibb from the Bee Gees (chest hair and all).:lmao: So I just imagine him in a white big collared polyester suit signing "Night Fever, Night Fever..." or "Ah, Ah, Ah, Ah, Staylin Alive, Staylin Alive" and the appt. goes quickly. :rotfl:

Thanks for the PD! My software people said I could do another yearly close at the real time and then give the totals to the accountant and let her deal with it. That way I can avoid losing the data!

I love the picture your dentist description puts in my head:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: love the BeeGees!!! I need to go to the dentist too - don't know what he looks like yet, but maybe I can think of your BeeGees one:hippie:

OOOH - the spa looks wonderful! Thanks for the link, Pam! I didn't request any certain area - I was worried about not getting non-smoking as we won't get in until about 6pm. My nephew has asthma - worried about him :goodvibes

I was thinking about requesting the Springs section - I did talk to a CM and had her put in a medical request for non-smoking. I thought the kids would enjoy being near the pool and we would enjoy the convenience of the store and refillable mugs:cool1:

I spoke to my DSIS tonight - she was thrilled with the Ohana change for dinner! We are trying to figure out how to get the campfire with Chip N Dale into our week. I thought it would be after dark, like 8:30 or 9? But I saw something on the website about 7pm? Does anyone know? All of our ADRs are for 6 or 6:30.

I might have to start a pre-trip worry report:lmao:

Ahibird - I know what you mean about not comparing DLR to WDW. I hear big fights on these threads and I think some people get way too upset over opinions. I am sure DLR is great even if it is smaller. Everything Disney is fun. We'll have to try it someday.

Hi Ladies.....
TinkLvr(Maureen)
Pam(Pbharris)
Lisa (DisneyOhana)
Hannasmamma
Magicfor2
Ahibird
and all my other pals out there...
Thanks for all the well wishes for the family. I think we are all back to normal (well, normal for us). I am feeling pretty anxious myself today but I am sure it will pass. Can't really figure out what's bugging me.
Hannasmamma.....hope things went OK at school regarding your DD.
Ahibird......when do you find out if your DS gets in? Conitued good luck with that.
Pam(Pbharris)...when do the root canals take place along with the other stuff.
Magicfor2Glad your dinner switch went over well. See, we worry for nothing!:rotfl2:

Have great day everyone.
BTW..Disney On Ice was wonderful!princess:

Tammie (Magicfor2): The Springs is a great location. I have asthma too and I always request a N/S room (for medical reasons) and I get it. This last time they gave me a choice of a smoking or Non smoking and I took the smoking because it was near DTD, but it wasn't that bad. My asthma isn't as bad as other peoples. Your nephew should be fine. Can't answer the campfire thingy as I never been (yet).

Deb...hey there. Root canals 2/13/07. Sometime after that a crown and bridge (yeppee). This is going to cost me $5,400+ and that's not including the root canals! I wonder if I can split it between 2 plan years? I'll have to call the dental insurance people. I don't even spend that much when we go to disney. Geesh..we probably spend $1600-1800 every year on WDW. We're DVC and that's been paid off already so we don't pay for rooms. I am going to try not to think about it. Glad to hear everyone is better!

Those dental costs are such a racket to me!!!!! My Dad just went through the same thing. It's complete bull*%#$ to me. You should have to pay what the insurance people would have paid to them! Oh that issue gets me mad!

Ahibird......when do you find out if your DS gets in? Conitued good luck with that.

Thanks to everyone for the good wishes and PD pixiedust:. We won't hear anything until late April, early May. He has one more test for another school on Feb. 24 (Oh goodie, a whole month to obsess and worry  ). Then we're off to the "Happiest Place on Earth" in March - I just finish booking the flights. :yay: DH and I are going to surprise DS with this trip -- all he knows is that our WDW that was originally scheduled in Oct. 2007 has been postponed until later. :goodvibes

Glad to hear everyone's on the mend. I heard on the radio this morning that there's been an increase in gastro-intestinal illnesses reported in several states  - I hope it doesn't make it here.

March is right around the corner!!!!! Yeah for you!

thanks for the poll debbie, I wish I had warned you about how those things usually turn out. And actually there where not that many flames thrown this time around. I think dh is coming around, he just does not want dd to fall behind. I just feel like it is the 1st grade and she does so much better one on one anyways. I did go on disney's website to see if our room would be available for the 1st week of may and it wasn't! So now I have a new worry. I thougt that would be a slow time, but there were no 1 br villas available at VWL or BCV. What is going on I wonder?

I never did a poll before so I thought it would be fun to try one out. I can't believe people would actually yell at somone about something that isn't even their business. Crazy!

Debbie, some people just want to be crabby:headache: I'm so glad we have a friendly group here. I have unsubscribed to alot of other threads because people got so negative. I like positive :yay:

About the topic in question, I took our sons out of school for WDW at the end of May in 6th and 8th grade. They did homework a couple of afternoons in the room while we swam or napped. The problem was, when they got back, the teachers had changed assignments on them and didn't notify them, so they got incompletes, etc. Their grades were not good at the end of the year - but, it didn't hurt them - who sees their grades anyway? It's not like they are getting a college scholarship at that time. Their test scores are what they get placed on. I guess my older son missed the honor role that term, but he really didn't care compared to a trip to WDW. I don't regret the wonderful memories we made.

He graduated from high school and college and is just fine - WDW trip and all :rotfl: My younger son played sports, finished high school, is a Junior in college and is just fine, too!

What ever you do, make those memories - they are with you for such a short time
