Debbie - awesome gift! I guess that keeps DH out of the doghouse for awhile now, huh? Just make sure you play with it a LOT before Disney. I got a new one for Christmas and I still didn't know what half the functions were this trip. But still a bazillion times better than my old one.

Enjoy it!!!! And you know you can always try the pics out on us - we'll give you our opinion!!!! :rotfl2:

I'm so mad right now! I was on a roll doctoring up my photopass photos and the website went down! We had 457 photos on photopass, and of course I'm adding autographs and borders (the photog took 30 in BBB!!!) so that number will most likely double!!!!! I was up to 550 photos when it crashed - :headache: so I guess I'll be back on it tonight.

OK, I missed 2 DPs in a row so somebody better be there with me on Saturday!!!!! Y'all must know I"m a lush now - you saw my straw in the pitcher! :rotfl2:

Okay ladies.

Haven't read the posts over the past few pages, will catch up soon, I promise.

For now, I'm cleaning and thinking of you all. Thanks Debbie for the sweet card! I'm getting my creative juices flowing for CKU, which has lead me to this little challenge.

We all do things for people, so I thought it might be fun for everyone to share the last Random Act of Kindness that they have preformed along with the approximate date/time. I'm sure it will be uplifting and inspiring for the others - and nice to give appreciation to the do-gooder as well!

Now, to make it interesting, I thought that we could do a new copy of Monsters, Inc. (I watched the opening and decided that it wasn't for DS, but some of your children might love it. I thought it was like Laugh Floor at MK, but it isn't) to the person who wins.

What do you think? If everyone things I'm being too flaky, I will understand!

Hi all just a quick fly by ... I think i have had one of the worst Saturdays EVER!
Oh, Erin! Bless your heart! I hope that things turn around and you have the most amazing trip ever!!!

Anyway, so excited .... finally pinned DSis to a schedule for our three days in Disney together. I get to call for my ADRs tomorrow and I have a game plan! Wish me luck! I'll post tomorrow with whatever I get!

Good night everybody!
How did it go?? Did you get all your ADRS?

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

Hope everyone is doing well. Very low key day here. Getting ready for the busy week ahead. Badookies birthday is Wed and his party is Sunday. I still have almost all of the shopping to do wrap his presents and make sure there is a tape for the video camera.

and thank you debbie for the lovely card. I am glad to have friends like all of you. It is so nice to have somewhere to go to talk to people who understand.
Good luck with the birthday party planning! 1st Birthdays are so much fun!

Happy Mother's Day to my DIS buddies!!!! My mother's day present this morning was seeing the taillights of my SIL and MIL's cars pulling out this morning! :rotfl2: All in all it was a great trip, but I do have some great stories for you! I'll save them for later though. So..... (in my best Hank Williams Jr voice) ARE YOU READY FOR SOME PICTURES??????? Here's just a taste....
Kara - love the photos and hearing about your trip. Can't wait to read your dining report!!!

Oh, speaking of which, we were chosen for the Year of a Million Dreams to.....

be the First Family....... at American Adventure in Epcot. We got to sit in up on the veranda and watch Voices of Liberty, then we were first into the theater to choose our seats and they announced us. It was just me, DH, DD and FIL and MIL. More later....
COOOOOOOL!!!

Here's a link to the dining reviews I submitted. http://disboards.com/showthread.php?p=25056722#post25056722

I'll be honest - all in all we were NOT fans of the dining plan!
I totally agree. We did more eating than we normally would because we felt like we "had" to. Same thing on the snacks. I brought home mickey ears for my SIL with the remaining credits.

My last sunday at Cracker Barrel - very sad. !
Try to just look at it as a new chapter in your journey rather than an ending of one. YOu now have time for more cool things. I know it is tough, but exciting too!

Okay, I still have a page and a half to catch up on but I have to break and feed the kiddos. Catch up more tomorrow...

Keep the trip reports coming... LOVING THEM

Hmmmm.... the last random act of kindness, I believe it was 1987.... I'm a mean old witch!

Seriously though, I think it would be the fact that I did NOT kill my SIL last week! :rotfl2:

That TOTALLY counts. Not killing family on holidays could almost get your to sainthood in my book! I couldn't IMAGINE that one! :rotfl2:

But you passed out the little candies didn't you?

Let's see......... I drove home one of DDs friends so her Mom could sleep longer (works the night shift). She didn't have to wake up to come get her. Her sitter doesn't drive.

I always give away the extra coupons or free passes I have that I don't need for myself.

I made an ADR for my speech girl because she was a rookie. I got her the Yak & Yedi instead of Olivia's..
Do these count because like Kara I am mostly a witch!:rotfl2:

All kidding aside I do a lot of random stuff for my friends but they do ALOT for me too so it's more reciprocal than random.

Hey, I have had random acts done to me!

That Diser delivered my cousin's little birthday surprise. She dropped off a balloon from the MK with birthday greetings for me today. She won't take money either! So nice!

And then I had the diser who sent me those growth charts I was dying for.

I have had LOTS of great Diser experiences!

BTW My DS just went poo poo on the potty! Yeah!:cool1:

Nope, you aren't a witch. You sent us nice little mother's day notes, what about that? That totally counts!

I guess I was thinking about random in terms of not anticipating anything in return... just to be nice and put a smile on someone's face. :thumbsup2 I think often people are a little humble about that type of stuff, and you know what, I'm a firm believer in things like that are catching. We read what you've done, celebrate that moment internally, and it may springboard into something else for someone else.

BTW -- I have been called a cheeseball by my DH on many occassions.

Gotcha! The best I can come up with for that until I ponder this some more is my coupon & free pass give aways. People are always loving a deal!

YAY DS! TOTALLY HUGE - that took DS until he was 3.5 :rolleyes1

Let's see random acts of kindness. I rescued the next door neighbors puppy and held her in my house until he could come get her. Does that count?

J/K never get to do random acts. I'm an EMT so saving lives is part of my job. HAHA J/K

Debbie- Congrats on the potty. WE bought DS a potty for his birthday I know it is early but my entire family has been trained before 18 months. :confused3 I will not be pushing it.

Kara- I did love the straw in the beer I think you are a god for not being sloshed the entire trip if it were my in laws I would double my celexa and be walking around with a margarita all Day.

I'm home! Plane landed at 6:30 pm. Camera has 350+ pix on it and photo pass has 74 unedited. I'm going to be busy.

First Renee I'm glad to see that you still with us. DH had tv on last night and they were showing the storms. At first glance I thought they hit you.

The random acts of kindness--I nominate Cammie for sending a beautiful dress to my DD. :)

I will get my trip report set up soon. Oh the laundry piles await....

As we are running into the MK. This is the first day and I am freaking out that we are going to miss our ADR for CRT. We miss the monorail. We get to the top of the ramp and comment to the CM that do we get to be in the front car? He asks do you want to be in the very front? OF COURSE we do. So we are all offical monorail captains. He had to stop the train to wait so he stopped a very cool spot. (turns out I read my notes wrong we were a half hour early to the ressies :rotfl: )

Hey Everyone! Just a quick fly by - DH is having trouble sleeping with me typing!

Laura - Welcome Home! We missed you! I'll be by your TR!

Kara - I'll be at a retreat this weekend - some drinking - no posting! I'll be pampering my team with Spa, strawberries and champagne!

Debbie - cool gift! Can't wait to see your pics!

Renee - I'll think about it - funny, cuz I do alot of things, but when asked, I'm not sure...:confused3 BTW - What is CKU?

Hi Everyone else! :grouphug:

Hiya all,
Laura - love the pics!!!

My random acts of kindness are many -I like to make folks happy....

Last week - helped my 90year old neighbour on her way to the shops -crossing roads etc then carried her groceries home.
- helped neighbour the other side to pull up LOTS of Nigella/Love in the mist which had self seeded over a front garden of 20 foot by 9 foot - 5 big bin bags worth!!
- helped a mum get her pushchair off the bus

I just looked at the above and then thought - I wonder how I ended up with a bad back....:lmao:

Tessa

Wow, everyone seems much nicer than me! :rotfl2: OK, seriously the most recent I can think all took place in WDW - the first night there we had front row seats for Spectro and I asked the little girl sitting behind us if she wanted to move up front with DD, then DD gave her one of the glow necklaces I had brought for the the kids. Then when I was leaving Kali River Rapids I handed my poncho to a gal waiting in line (you'd have thought I gave her the moon!). But Disney does that to me. Now I'm back to being a witch again. But if you saw how trashed my house is (and it was spotless before we left!) you'd understand!

I stayed up late editing photopass photos - I'm up to 650!!!!

Jillian - I didn't realize you were an EMT, my sister was, too, until she threw out her back lifting a patient into an ambulance. She worked for a private company at that time (in addition to the city) and the gurney caught on the door and she was trying to free it when she hurt herself. The owner of the company told her to file her workers comp claim with the city, but of course that's not where she injured herself so she wouldn't do it. Come to find out this guy had not been paying his workers comp premiums so she took him to court and LOST!!! She was out over $20K, and she refused to keep fighting! When she got married and the pastor said "for richer for poorer" her husband started laughing, cause it was a joke that he was marrying her debt. But it was sad that all that happened. Her husband is a firefighter/paramedic in a small town in Ohio and he just blew out his knee a couple of weeks ago so he's out of work for 2 months now and very lucky that it wasn't a career ending injury.

OK, little story from the trip. SIL suggested we get her parents one of those crystal blocks with the 3-D photos etched inside of the kids. But the one she picked out was $75 and was only 2-D. I like the one for $95 that was 3-D but we were going to have to have it shipped because we waited until the last day there. She didn't want to spend that much, plus $20 shipping. Wait, didn't her parents just spend about $7K on this whole vacation???? She's such a snot. So DH and I are going to get them a digital photo frame and load it up with photos for them. Also, who knows where I can find a nice "coffee table" book for them of WDW? We searched everywhere while we were there and apparently the last time one was printed was in 2006. We tried Amazon and the Laughing Place but no luck.

Off to edit some more photopass photos...... It's funny, we had 457 photos when I started editing, and probably 375 have our family in them. We told everyone to hit every photopass photog they could find, but they didn't listen to us, so now that I have their money..... heh heh heh..... they will see that DD is easily in 3/4 of all the photos. The BBB photog must have snapped about 35 pics alone, and then I double that when I add borders, etc. Oh, well!

Debbie - Yay for DS on the potty! Like Jillian, we bought DD one for her first bday. I guess I was getting a little bit ahead of myself, but I think she was completely potty trained by 3 years old. But the poo poo in the potty freaked her out when it happened "accidentally" one time. I thought she'd be in diapers on prom night after that!!! :rotfl2:

Hey, Sewer! Where in Ohio are you? My parents are in North Canton, my sis in Dover, and I went to high school in Westerville (outside Columbus).
