I'm listening to MouseWorld Radio and I see that I missed Jack Wagner. Is that Frisco Jones???? Oh, how I'd love to run into him at WDW someday!![]()
Wow! I was busy today and missed a lot of fun!
Laura, Laura, Laura - you get the Uberplanner trophy! I agree with Cammie and I think Kara - you will be able to get in for lunch, and if you have EVERYTHING scheduled, your trip will be taking you instead of you taking your trip!![]()
I am nominating Debbie our tribal leader - she brought us all together!![]()
I am afraid that I may have overplanned. Really it is only the meals that I have scheduled out. Granted I really haven't taken my park plan out yet. I bought a book that has a number of travel plans in them. DH says let's just go with the flow. Here I am trying to reduce the time in line and hit all the attractions. I think I need to walk away and not do that. Okay maybe just a little so we are in the right places for the meal. Aghhh! I will go nuts.
As far as photo shopping pictures goes, there is not out of box program that comes with your computer that will allow you to manipulate the pictures. Okay Paint will allow you to change colors but it is really tedious and you can change file types from .jpeg to .gif but those aren't things you would normally do to print pictures.
When I post pictures to our family website. I Roxio's CD creator. It has an automatic thumbnail maker in it. Thumbnails are what our avatars are.
If want to manipulate them further you would need to either download a shareware or freeware package or buy one. I have Adobe Photoshop. There is a lot of stuff in there that I will never touch. I don't have the brain space. If I did I might forget my phone #. We something would have to go.![]()
I really can't recommend a off the shelf package because I don't know them. I would recommend CNET.COM as a good place to start looking at photo editing packages. They review all sorts of techie stuff.
Oh I hope this makes the board......
Hiya all,
thanks for the warm wishes - we are packing now ready to be off to Gatwick tomorrow morning, so will get back to you all on our return!!
Just can't think of anything other than our trip right now, so am not even going to try to catch up on the thread.....
"See" you all soon!!!!
Tessa
I'm scared to post now. He's a scary guy. He can be our bouncer on the CFWW trip.
Kara the carpet thing comes from the other threadI'll have my lime green mickey with me on my bright red baggallini . I still have to get to Home Depot for ones to tape to our luggage.
Laura - I've never reallly done a park planning tour before - i.e. what rides to do and when - because we're usually there at a "slow" time so I don't worry as much. ..... We've never done a rope drop before and that's DEFINITELY on our list for this trip!
That being said, I think there are some rides that you really do need to plan around if they are important for your family to ride. For instance, if you don't get to Dumbo or Peter Pan early in the morning, the lines get outrageously long as the day goes on! I think some sort of park strategy would be really helpful.
Kara - I have the Overland Donner bag - red w/black daisy lining. I call it my mickey colors! It worked great for our trip in November. Held alot; really liked the two water holders on each side. I'm looking for something a little smaller also. Sometimes I just didn't need to take that bigger bag out all the time.
OMG Laura - I have the bright red baggalini too!!!! I also bought the Overland Donner bag (see, I pay TOO much attention to these boards and ended up with both of these highly recommended bags!). The only problem with my baggalini (have you used yours yet?) is that the buckle falls right on my collarbone and hurts really bad the next morning! I think I'll have to rotate bags each night. Although the baggalini is VERY convenient to get to everything! Oh, well.....
Laura - I've never reallly done a park planning tour before - i.e. what rides to do and when - because we're usually there at a "slow" time so I don't worry as much. For my trip in June, I think I'm going to map things out a little more. Since it's just my one DD and me, it will be a little easier running around and making it work - and I really want to get in as much as possible with her. We've never done a rope drop before and that's DEFINITELY on our list for this trip!

I have a headache after reading this!![]()
If I have Microsoft Office Works, doesn't that include some sort of photoshop? I usually download my photos onto the computer; never do much else to them. When I want to print them, I transfer them over to Shutterfly. I also use photobucket.com to post pictures here. Do I need to be doing something more than that?
Cammie - how did you wear it - over one shoulder? Or across your body? I don't know if I can get all my stuff in there - rain ponchos, a couple ziplocs, camera, garbage bag and mainly the big 5x7 autograph book I made for DD from the creative disigners - it's nearly 2" thick!!!! But I love the way the flap opens to reveal everything you're carrying (just about!!!) - seems easy to maneuver. It just wasn't real comfy to carry? May need to get DH to carry the camera or something.... Plus, I like to bring a change of clothes for DD just in case she plays in the water....
That's what I was thinking. I really want to catch Peter Pan and some others. Looking at the crowd charts May isn't super busy but I still think the lines could get long. Do you have any special things you do in line to entertain the girls? That is one of my biggest fear is that DD will get board in line.
Microsoft Works does contain a wizzard that will help you store and print pictures. It is a very generic package. It does just the basics. You're doing everything just fine. Now I did notice that photobucket has some photo editing things like red eye reduction and resizing. The resizing feature might work to create avatars. I just noticed it has a button for thumbnails.
Now that being said. Shutterfly and other photo developing places have their own software that will help "maximize" the picture. They will adjust color and brightness automatically for you. The photoshop is nice if you print you own photos or do "special things" to them. I have added people in photos before.
Bottom line.... your just fine. If your pictures your are printing are coming out the way you want them then don't worry.
HAHAHAHA I said don't worry.... That's why we're here!![]()

Can I just say it's 10am and DD and I made a pact to stay in our jammies until lunch today!!!!![]()
I'm looking for a little guidance for our first MK day in June - which will also be the day we check in.
We should get to WL by 2pm. If our room is ready, we'll check in, unpack and explore the resort because we've never been before. We have 6pm ADRs at Artist Point and then plan on getting to MK by 8pm. It's late EMH and we definitely want to last until 2am. Where would you go first? We've never seen Wishes or SpectroMagic, so I want to see those - Wishes at 10pm; Spectro at 11pm. I'm thinking the later it gets, the emptier the park would be, so should I save the more popular rides for after Spectro (like SM,POTC, HM,BTMR). But then I'm thinking, the later it gets, the younger kids will be leaving the park, leaving us older ones, which may mean those thrill rides could still be busy. Maybe we should save Fantasyland for the end of the night? I'm so excited to stay in MK that late - I want to make sure we get as much done as possible!
