had to make sure it work :)

See my PM for the pic link. I will get the family one figure out

Hey! Look at my avatar!!!! But I really wanted the one of DD looking over the bridge. I kept playing with this one.... weird! Thank you Laura!!!!! I couldn't have gotten it the right size! I still think it looks too small though? I guess I 'll have to get a better pic when we're there next month!

When I take a look at the other ones tonight I wll zoom it in a bit. Ahhh the magic of photoshop....

Thank you Laura! Do you really love photoshop? I had a wonderful photo program that was installed on an old computer. I have no idea what it was though! And when the computer crashed (why don't they give any warning!!!) I lost it. Luckily, I burn my photos to cd's so I don't leave them on the hard drive for long. But I'm looking for some software that is easy to use, that works well. I mainly use mine for cropping, getting rid of red eye, that sort of thing. I know photoshop does a lot more than that though. Do you use the other features????

Yeah Laura - congrats on being a Mousketeer! And your new avatar is adorable.

So now that you've identified yourself as a techie - here comes the onslaught of questions!:scared:

The guy on the tech board did exactly what you said needed to be done - reduced the pixels. How can I do that? I have Microsoft Word; all my pix are on my computer (granted - they're all over the place: some in a "My Pictures" folder; some in "My recent documents") Does it matter? I feel sooooo stupid with this thing! I just want someone to come to my house and make it all better!:sad1:

Kara - I like the "idea" of the shot you're going for in your avatar; but, you're right, it's a little too small. That's how I felt about my old one. Is there a way you can zoom in on it?

Maybe we can have an online class one night while we're drunk posting. Laura - you can be our teacher; we'll be the obediant students!:dance3:

you guys are better than me i can't do anything like that i have to stick with the standard ones hahahaha :rotfl2:

Cammie I wish I could come over and just make it better. If you want the other picture, PM the original large size one to me and I will resize and zoom. I should be in the car going to swimming lessons but I had to check the laundry and the computer is just too close. walk away from the boards.....

Ahhh, is that you Erin???? I love putting a face with the name!!! How fun! And I'm so proud of you for changing your avatar! You didn't even need any help!

Thankyou :thumbsup2
Believe me when i say i am proud of myself
It is me yes although have completely different hair now but it is 1 of my fave pics of me and my daughter

Hi everyone. Checked the weather for our stay. SO FAR, they are saying low 59, high 79-81. Sunny too. :goodvibes

We watched some YouTubes today. DS refuses the Tiki Room, Peter Pan, and Winnie the Pooh, on the grounds that they are too dark. Since he sleeps with his light on, and is very afraid of monsters. I say, okay. Disappointing 'casue I really wanted to do Peter Pan myself, but okay. Then he says Buzz looks cool. WAIT :confused3 Little man WILL NOT watch Toy Story 2, because of the "EVIL MEAN GUY" but he will ride the ride? "Because you have shooting things to shoot him with". :confused3

I want him to watch Lion King to prepare for the characters. Nope. Won't. Too scary he says. :sad2: I offer to watch with him and fast forward. NOPE. He said no Peter Pan either because it has Captain Hook - and he is scary. :headache: If that is his stance, I'm fine with it, but what I don't want is to do Buzz, him to FREAK out and be stuck in the ride with him crying hysterically until it ends - and worse up with him at night for weeks... sigh.

Thanks for the offer, Laura. My old avatar was from three years ago, so I don't mind replacing it. But I picked the one I currently have because I wanted a pic that was more up close. But, of course, the first thing my DD says to me when she sees it is, "How come you didn't use a picture with you in it?" So I may go back and look for another one. I'll pm you for help if I find one to use. Do I have the ability to use photoshop with my Microsoft programs. Seriously, I don't have a clue and I'm so afraid to mess around with my pictures for fear of losing anything.(although I do have most of them downloaded to shutterfly also). Ok - I'm really not as stupid as I sound. I can change my daughter's trach; I just can't photoshop pictures!:lmao:

Thankyou :thumbsup2

Yeah Erin - you did it!:cheer2: Very cute picture, BTW. Like Kara said, nice to be able to put a face to the post! or name. (that didn't come out right!)

Renee - I really think you'll get a better sense of what your DS wants to do when you get there. I don't think any of the rides you are talking about are so terrifying that he'll freak out once on them. Maybe once he sees the ride, he'll want to give it a try. The good thing about the Buzz ride is that he can be totally pre-occupied with shooting the evil Zurg - so you can keep him focused on that; it's not too dark in that ride - very neon-lit; and, worse-case scenerio, there's a handle that will turn your car around, so if he's not liking the ride, you just have him spin the car around!

Debbie - You'll be happy to hear I am now a VIP subscriber to LIVE365. I'm not sure if I got a 30% discount though - I had so many windows open at the same time; it was hard to keep it straight. I do have 5 free days though!:woohoo:

I'm listening to the Splash Mountain song right now, which BTW, you can also download as a ringtone on a site someone mentioned on a thread I started on the community board.

I'm so happy listening to my Disneymusic!:goodvibes

I don't have any advice as my DD has always been a speed junkie  the only thing she's still not been able to do is meet any of "The Baddies" she just plain refuses :confused3 does make me chuckle
So i would go with the flow and wait and see like Cammie said

Yeah Erin - you did it!:cheer2: Very cute picture, BTW. Like Kara said, nice to be able to put a face to the post! or name. (that didn't come out right!)

Thanks very much :thumbsup2 Yes i know what you mean i have been faceless for too long :rotfl:

Debbie - I am SERIOUSLY loving my 365LIVE! I have it playing in the background the whole time my computer is on. My DDs think it's very cool also! I'm so glad I finally signed on!:lovestruc

Love it as well. It makes thinking of Disney so much more "real".Just got back from swim lessons.

Cammie - I am going to have think about the photoshop question. As far as I know there is a way to photoshop pictures without having that specific software. I will research it and give you the low down on what I find out. Although I do have one question- I are running windows, right?

Kara- I am going to beat this. Don't be surprise if my avatar changes thru out the night as I "perfect it" hahahahah

Hiya all -

Kara you made me laugh too -but I will never ever eat those disgusting "biscuits" (tasteless scones) with "gravy" (white goop) again!!!! Hash browns however - the US ones outstrip the UK ones ANY time!!! And talking of breakfast over there - last time we saw someone pouring maple syrup on crispy BACON - yuegh, what is THAT all about....

Erin - you getting excited???? I am!!!! Especially since it is sooooooo DULL over here right now..... I've cancelled the papers, photocopied the passports, cleaned the sunglasses, paid the credit card bills :scared:- today am going to print off the opening hours of all the parks to take with us..... I had my hair trimmed this morning -skipped the colour though - I am not paying out to have it fade in all the sunshine out there -probably jinxed it now - mind you, the 10 day forecast out there covers the start of our trip now and it is OKish - some thunderstorms but 29 degC, link is below http://www.weather.com/outlook/travel/businesstraveler/tenday/USFL0372?from=36hr_topnav_business

Fun fun fun....... at least we are going from Gatwick not Heathrow:eek: - so there's a chance we might travel WITH our luggage!

I WANT TO BE THERE NOW.....

Tessa

:woohoo: 4 DAYS!!!! I see Kara told you about dipping the bacon - some of it is even cured with maple syrup! It's got flavor!!! Just give it a try - you might like it!

OK, I nearly had coffee shooting out my nose this morning, just reading these last 3 pages of posts!!!!! And my smarty responses are below!

The inlaws are leaving, the inlaws are leaving!!!! The car is packed and we're just waiting for them to pull out! Of course, I haven't even showered yet because sure as I get in there, they will want to leave, so I'm just waiting, and waiting, and waiting. And DH is running late this morning, too (which is why everything has been thrown out of whack!). He was up with the dog about 6 times last night, and I was up twice with the puppy. I'm ready to take Bella to the vet today and now DH is dragging his feet again. Y'all should see her, it's just not fair. She is barely hanging in there, but we can't tell if she's in "pain" or not. I may have to be the bad guy one day and just take her without telling anyone. Not that this will be easy for me either!!!!! But I also can't take the stalling....

Hurry up and leave already, before Kara goes bald from pulling her hair out! Besides, she has a date with a pool...

Just make sure he knows there's a Buzz there waiting for him the next time you break his heart!!! :rotfl2:

YES!!!! And I didn't have time to get her little "gift." Stop laughing, Tammie!!!! Hopefully I can send it once she gets home...

Hee! Hee!

HOney, McD's is a staple on my diet!!!! You've got everything in the food pyramid! Your protein (2 all beef patties), dairy (cheese), veggies (lettuce, pickle, onion), carbs (on a sesame seed bun), and not quite sure where the special sauce fits in, but I'm sure it's healthy, too! :rotfl: Now how many of you were singing the Big Mac song as you read that????

I was! I was checking to see if you got all of the ingredients right - :3dglasses

How funny!!!!! Right now she is saying "goodbye" to Bella. Gimme a break! Just LEAVE!!!! For crying out loud (pardon the pun!) they both just came out SOBBING - let's think about DD now, she has NOOO idea what is going to happen soon, why make such a big deal out of it?

oh the drama! B'Bye now.

OK, if our CFAWW grand gathering works, it was my idea, if not, it was Debbie's idea! :rotfl2: And heck yes I was out drinking!!!! Actually, last night our neighbors invited us over to roast marshmallows - they just dug out a big pit, filled with sand and palm trees and added a firepit. We NEEDED to go over there for awhile to get away from the inlaws!

I love the idea of notes in your girls' luggage. I used to do that occasionally with DD's lunch. She would come home and show it to me with that little smile that just melted my heart. That was BEFORE she became the possessed child that she is now!

:rotfl2: I laughed so hard when I read this!!!!!

Too funny! Now what does that tell you about our overplanning? When the plan doesn't go according to plan????

DIGESTIVE BISCUITS!!! I couldn't remember what they were called! Yes, when we all come to Jacksonville to drink off the poor sap's tab we'll stop at my neighbor's house for s'mores!!! We are actually getting together this weekend for this!

Tessa, I ALWAYS dip my crispy bacon in syrup when I have pancakes!!! But then again, we Americans are such food connoisseurs (sp?) - our claim to faim is pizza and hamburgers! Can't argue with that, huh? :rotfl2:

OK, as the inlaws were leaving, FIL dumped his entire cup of coffee all over my foyer!!!! Yeah, it seeped into the carpet in the living room, too. Good stuff. And MIL would take off one paper towel at a time, to try to stop the flow of a full cup of coffee! You're right, Tammie, how in the h*** did my DH make it to adulthood???? Or maybe now I know where all his "issues" come from!!!!

Will it ever end?

Well, off to work now. I had a lot of fun reading and writing - y'all have a great Tuesday!!!!! In fact, I apparently had too much fun because the DIS nazis won't let me post until I take out 5 images (can only have 25 and I have 30 right now - oops!).

You are having more fun than you should be allowed to have!

I'm sorry to hear they spilled on the floor. Just more of reason to get tile? :goodvibes

I too wonder how DH is alive after MIL raised him. Now when you go to MIL's house you have to move her dish soap.

Good One!

I wish I had a more witty response. I love the humor. It has been a great pick me up.

I am actually flying from Heathrow but thankfully not from the new terminal :scared1: that would not be the start to my holiday that i have "planned" :rotfl2:

I like the biscuits just not the gravy to be honest

I go on Saturday 5th and Leave on the 19th but because of time difference don't get back home till early Sunday morning  but let's not talk of returning home just yet :rotfl2:

Ooh yes those are my favourite Hash Browns when i do them at home thats how i do them too

Oh am too excited for words my Dd is packing crazy and we have all last minute things and all ready for friday straight from school to go to the hotel :yay:
You go Saturday don't you Tessa?

Oh this is on my list for this time .. Have you done the Campfire sing along? And movie?

We had it all planned, and then with all of our ADRs, we just didn't get done with dinner in order to get there, and there was rain every evening, too! I really am thinking about less ADRs or having TS for lunch next time - too much planning can cramp your style!:thumbsup2

'm going to go over 100 posts soon! Yikes!

I saw the that my tag line changed. I am now a Mouseketeer!! :)

Congrats!!!:yay:

Hey Debbie! I was just thinking about next week! I am coming to Chicago for a 2 hr layover. I'll have to go out of security to meet you - how long are the security lines, usually?? I will have to get an idea from you were I would actually end up when I get off my flight, and how I can find you, and if I can go through security again? :confused3 I know, I know - the worrier coming out - :goodvibes It would be so fun if we can make it happen! I am coming on United - I'll email you!

Hiya all - it's getting very chatty on here!! Having trouble keeping up!

Erin - yep we go to Gatwick on Saturday - Fly out lunchtime on Sunday - I cannot do the drive to Gatwick then fly thing - too many motorways with too many possible hold ups - too stressful.... We are going with Virgin - who do you fly with??? we are "just" doing 10 days though - the kids would have trouble recovering in time for school if we didn't come back before the weekend. Am at the write down what we NEED to take as opposed to what we WANT to take.... then we might be able to carry it!

Cold damp and dull here today - just some warmth would be welcome, so am really looking forward to next week - I won't say I'm looking forward to the trip as I know it is going to be hard - a plane filled with 300 holidaymakers has to have its share of "them" - rant mode on:

- the whistlers/sniffers/tappers/seat kickers/whingers/crying babies/shouting adults/etc -

and they all usually sit right behind me - correction - one of them also usually sits beside me - not on the aisle side though, so they have to keep getting up , past me, to sort the kids/husband/whatever always having to open the overhead locker dumping tons of c*** on my head.... I am not a good traveller, nor am I particularly tolerant of others when travelling, so not a fun weekend ahead.. Anyhow rant over, got to go do more dreaming.....

Tessa

As some others said, just WAIT and see how he reacts. Here's the deal... when we took DD 2 years ago, we were afraid that she would be afraid of all the characters, wouldn't want to ride anything, what would we do? Uh uh! She raced right up to every obscure character, whether she knew them or not, good guys, bad guys, didn't matter! AND she rode EVERYTHING and cried when she couldn't go on EE or SM! Remember, even on something like PP or WtP, your DS will be so preoccupied with the animatronics and colors, and songs, that he may just "forget" that it's dark! Remember, go with the flow! Deep breaths, in, out, in, out!!! :rotfl:

Tessa

Tessa - you sound just like me! I have trouble even going to the movie theater, because of the "popcorn people," those who chomp their popcorn without closing their mouths. Drives me nuts!!!! I have a very low tolerance for "the whistlers/sniffers/tappers/seat kickers/whingers/crying babies/shouting adults/etc." Take some headphones, kick back, take a nap, and before you know it, you'll be here!

DD came home red from the pool yesterday - they were there from 12:30 - 4:30 yesterday. She's going to be soooo dark this summer, and her hair will end up soooo bleached out! Cool! I send sunscreen along with her, but I don't think they do a very good job of applying it. So today I put it on her before she got dressed but told her to make sure the gals reapply it before she goes to the pool!

Today is DH's bday! We got him a new pair of New Balance sneakers (only sneakers made in the good ole USA!), and the movie Alvin and the Chipmunks! :rotfl2: DD really wanted this movie for her bday, and since Alvin was always MY favorite cartoon character, we thought it would make a good gift for Daddy!

Off to shower now and get to work! Happy Hump Day!

Good morning all!

Well, our spring weather lasted one day - it's freezing today so back out came the fleece jackets!:sad2:

OK, so how much did it cost you? And how do you get the music as a ringtone??? I MUST have this!!!!! I listen to it, with commercials now. But I want the ringtones!!!!

I signed up for the 12 month subscription for @$70. Not sure if that's with the 30% discount - hope so; but regardless, it's really nice hearing it w/out the annoying commercials. And the stations I like the most are the ones only VIPs can listen to.:snooty:

As for the ringtones, this is the site another posted suggested:

www.mixertones.com

Just search for "Disney". Problem I have is that my Verizon phone won't let me download the songs for ringtones. A song will get sent to my phone as a message; I save it to "My Sounds", but then I can't "set as" a ringtone. Someone said that there are certain models of Verizon phones that won't accept outside downloads for ringtones - ANNOYING!:headache: Anyway, I still downloaded "We Go On" from Illuminations; and the monorail announcement (they're free); so whenever I need to smile, I just play them for myself.

Have a good day everybody!:flower3:
