Oh wow - older DD went on a field trip today; I can still smell the suntan lotion! Aaaah - so reminds me of WDW!

Ok, and I've decided - it so weird referring to my girls as "olderDD" and "youngerDD". So from here on in, I will refer to them by their names:
Amanda - 14 in July; my strong, precious little angel
Lauren - 12; my feisty and "mature" little angel.

You guys are my buds - don't mind you knowing my girls' names.

We have had a great day. We are going to Friendly's for dinner. He got a balloon and cupcake from his grampy and he will get an ice cream sundae for dessert.

So here's where my household is right now.

Me - in the last 24 hours I've worked 19 hours at 2 different jobs. 4 hours of sleep and 1 hour of watching DD8 at her oftball game.

DH - Umpiring the high school baseball game and of course didn't get his day off this week again!

DD8 - after mouthing off to me in the car about where to go for dinner, ended up with a Big Mac and no friends over after dinner.

DD5 - cried when I told her they couldn't go outside, so I gave in with the condition that they HAD to come in when I called them at 7:30pm for tubs. 7:30pm comes and I shout out for them to come in. Well this one thinks she's all that and says, "NO". Yeah, oh no you didn't! As I slowly put my shoes on as not to kill the child with my laser beam eyes, she quickly runs with her sister to the door. So now she's crying in her room "I want to take a shower, but you won't let me." Yes I will let you after DD8 has her turn and after I'm done being angry with you.

So now DH is home so I'm going to bed. I'm sorry to vent to everyone but it's been a tough night.

Glad to hear their names, and you are right, we are all one big happy whacky family here.... so....
And since we are coming clean, actually Cammie, your Lauren might understand this one, I generally go by my first name, Lorrie. EVERYONE butchers it. Lorie, Lori, Laura, Laurie, Lauren which is why I originally used my middle name on the BBs - just simpler. Those of you who may have gotten an email or whatever may have wondered... that is the story. Call me whatever, generally, and I will anwer, but it gets on my nerves some times!

For now, I'm cleaning and thinking of you all. Thanks Debbie for the sweet card! I'm getting my creative juices flowing for CKU, which has lead me to this little challenge.

We all do things for people, so I thought it might be fun for everyone to share the last Random Act of Kindness that they have preformed along with the approximate date/time. I'm sure it will be uplifting and inspiring for the others - and nice to give appreciation to the do-gooder as well!

Now, to make it interesting, I thought that we could do a new copy of Monsters, Inc. (I watched the opening and decided that it wasn't for DS, but some of your children might love it. I thought it was like Laugh Floor at MK, but it isn't) to the person who wins.

What do you think? If everyone things I'm being too flaky, I will understand!

What I would give for more energy after 3:00. It is when I really feel my age. Seriously early eveneings are rough and past that forget about it!
Both my kids got in trouble today. My DS hates his cute little school time once a week for a whooping hour! He just cries! DD is testing her boundaries away from home...yada yada....whatever!

So often I wish you guys could hear my random thoughts or hear me when I am talking to all of you in my head because I never have any energy left when it comes time to type! Plus I can't type worth a darn. That's why I do better here when I hang out here all day but then my life gets neglected!

As far as what to call me... ANYTHING but Laurie is fine. That one is like nails on a blackboard for me, and I get it A LOT ---- LAWWWWWRRRRRRREEEEE. I guess since we are here in the south, that southern drawl just makes it horrid! When I was younger, I always just wished I could go by Renee. Renee is, well, Renee... that's it. Very simplistic. So, long story short, Renee or Lorrie, either is fine. Just no Laurie

Hiya all,

sorry not been around - family woes of course.....

Well, I won't have a DSIL myself to whinge about much longer - hubby's brother walked out on her.... saw the light which said things ain't going to change and he'd have to live the rest of his life the way he is living it right now if he stayed.... enough said I think..... so he's moved back to his MUM (aged 43!!!!!! - I thought I'd be rid of mine at 20ish.....). and life has been a bit hectic.....

DD7 has hay fever (I think I said) but had to go to the doc today to get her meds changed - she was becoming a zombie - they did get rid of the hayfever, but the side effects were starting to outweigh the benefits...!!! Hopefully these will do her a bit better.

oh - and

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY TODAY!!!!

so happy birthday to Badookie for yesterday.... my 2 best friends were on 13th, another friends hubby on 13th also, me, 2 other friends today, best friends son and my friend from school and another friend's dad and her hubby tomorrow - what WAS happening 40 weeks ago each year?? Summer break perhaps........

Anyhow, sorry to have been out of the loop - real-life catches up sometimes...

This cracks me up! I think we need to take a poll to agree on what to call you; it's going to confuse the heck out of me if some posts are addressed to Renee and some to Lorrie! I can sympathize with you on the name butchering. Look at MY name - Cammie. I've been called everything: Carrie, Connie, Cathy, Tammie, Cassie, Cannie (is that even a name?). It can be frustrating! So......you telll us what to call you and that's what we'll use!

Re: your screen name. If you can't change it, I know one thing that can save you trouble. You don't have to log in and out of the Dis. I stay logged on; when I turn my computer on in the a.m and go to this site, I'm in. Just a little tip.
