Hi, everyone. My whole extended family will be traveling to Orlando in January for my mom's 60th birthday. One night my sister and I would like to take my mom out to a nice dinner without the spouses and kids. Just the 3 "girls!"

We are staying in Kissimmee but will have a car. We'd like to come into Orlando for a nice but not stuffy restaurant. My mom is not all that adventurous with food, so nothing too exotic. Just a neat scene with great food.

Any suggestions? Price really isn't an issue, but again, not stuffy.

Thanks so much!

We took my mother to Emeril's in Atlanta for her birthday. We all loved it. I have not tried the one in Orlando yet because it is hard to get a reservation.

Sounds like a great time...I must confess when we do something really special for dinner we head for either Jiko's at Animal Kingdom Lodge, or Citrico's at Grand Floridian or Flying Fish at Boardwalk or Blue Zoo at the Disney Swan. You could valet park at any of these hotels and have a wonderful meal. Of course, no park admission required...

Off site, I have heard Emerils is fantastic, very expensive but fantastic.

Good Luck...Ted
